You punkbassjack are a bumbass. Doo Wop and classic Rock are about true love. Todays musics is all helped by studie technology. Todays music is horrible and makes me want to stabbed myself in the ears repeatedly. Please gets the facts.
Saw this on PBS when they did the doo-wop show on TV. It was the first time I saw the Capris. My husband and I both have an album compiled by a local radio station with their original hit.
True Rock and Roll is where you can understand and relate to the song.
Rock and Roll once ment a "roll in the hay" not a music genre.
Music today is about expressing a mood by yelling and screaming, if you could take away the poor vocals and electronic modifications most of the guitar and drum action is quite creative. BTW: I have been working with bands for over 35 years....
i knew Nick had cancer and had a lung removed, thought he was recovering, anyone know what caused him to pass, sure going to miss him, and that awesome voice !
Wow, cant blv he has passed...Im crying...such a loss to great music....im subjected to overpaid non-artist...on the radio....RIP Nick...thank you, I know Jesus has you singing the word
Pat Boone covered Tutti Fruiti. For some REALLY DUMB reason it was that the white general public wouldn't listen to the music by Black singers. HOW STUPID was that.
@taffy5507 Not true. The fact was it was white owned radio stations that would not play black music so the only way we could listen was tune into a black station, IF it was available. Hank Ballard help solve this problem by traveling around the south and visiting white station disk jockeys and convincing them to play black music after midnight when the bosses were asleep.
@Mikeytee3333@taffy5507 Actually, Mr. Boone did worse than Tutti Fruitti. *shutters*. I am the proud owner of the CD "In a Metal Mood", Pat's magnum opus, rivaling the nightingale offerings of Mr. Shatner. It's partially a joke, but Boone did realize that there was more to metal music than his former perception. He is a talented guy, just should stick to "Love Letters in the Sand" and the like.
STILL Amazing after all these years... Beautiful and timeless...
this brings back memories as this was my Dad's music and this was one of his favorite DOO WOP/50's song and group... I grew up on this and Country and Rock lol... LOVE IT!
Man these music was the anthem of most gangs here in los angeles. I cannot believe time has passed so fast. I remember hanging out with my buddies over in brooklyn street here in East Los Angeles
Why does anyone have to use foul languange on the site. Can't you speak (type) intelligently.? Freedom of speech is wonderful and people can like or dislike but why the bad language. Just write your opinion and let it go. By the way elbopper thanks for posting this video.
Not saying I hate old people, but that doesn't make you right. It makes you only right here where all the same kind of opinionated same opinion people congregate.
Like I said why don't you go hate on a Jay-Z video and get like 50 Million fucking thumbs downs.
Why do I always get FUCKING THUMBS DOWNS FOR LOGICAL ARGUMENTS, It's pissing me off, everything I said here was argument based on truth and logic.
This is retarded. I always get hated and get thumbs downs online. Mostly because I never finish what I'm saying so people say I'm stupid, arrogant and dumb. But you don't know.
Whatever I said here was based on logic.
You can't give me a thumbs down for my opinion.
As you have yours. Does that means I can PROSECUTE YOU FOR YOUR OPINION?
NO I CAN"T BECASEU I"M FUCKING OUTNUMBERED ON A FUCKING STUPID VIDEO WHERE EVEYRONE IS FUCKING STUPID AND HAS THE CONFLICTING OPINION WITH ME>
So bottom line. It doesn't mean your right, it just means the number of people who have the same opinion as you outnumber me in the same place (I trademark and copyright that).
So I can't hate and express my hate enough and give enough thumbs downs to outnumber you and make you wrong because the general public here all has the same opinion as you.
At least the ones fucking WATCHING THIS FUCKING VIDEO>
So I'm outnumbered, AND I CAN"T HATE ENOUGH TO OUTNUMBER YOU AND MAKE YOU WRONG,
And the bottom line is yall are just venting your egocentricity and stupid opinions whom you know no one in the real world will resepct or accept because they're so immature and childish and egocentric.
The internet is your outlet and vent.
I'm like you to, I take in shit and dreams and anger from my mom.
Except I don't have an outlet.
So when I go on the internet I get more pissed off.
You guys just pissed off an already angry and pissed off person, you ARE GOING TO GET IT>
they don't like older music. There is no international or national authority that states older music is better than newer music, I'm not being stupid here.
From what did all these people who give me thumbs down and you base the judgement on today's music is crap.
Hey I only hate assholes like you and others who hate on other's music.
Do not EVER DECLARE, that today's music IS ACTUALLY WORSE. You can not like it. But keep that to yourself. Don't go around proclaiming that today's music
Just because you and a bunch of people say that music before was better, doesn't make it better.
That's my point, what if the teenage population outnumbered all the older people today (not saying your old, I know you're 15) then would that make modern music better than older music?
Everyone gives me thumbs down because I like modern music, well I like older music too.
But the point is you can't give a person a thumbs down and say they're bad because
nonshalont602...you are absolutely right...most of the artist(don't know if you can really call them an "artist") now a days can't even play no instrument don't even composed their own shit and most of all don't even last that long industry it's they get shot or in imprisoned..sad but true..
Well, most groups and artists back then didn't write their own music too.. Like elvis, he didn't write his own music, he was only a good singer with good looks. And so what the music now is about sex and girls? The music 50 years ago was about sex too, but it was written in another language.. Now they're singing: suck me bitch bla bla. Tutti Frutti was about sex too! (elvis covered it (chuck berry)
I'm not saying this to you but to everybody.
But i agree music now is not very good (mtv music)
That's my point I don't even listen to mtv music, nobody does all bboys hate mtv all bboys hate rap, all bboys hate publicized and commercial bboying and music.
My point is don't go all self-righteously proclaiming that all other music is bad or all modern music is bad you fucking retards. For example: Hip hop hooray by naughty by nature is not a bad song.
@punkbassjack yeah sex was in the music and written in a vague manner as well as direct manner, "it ain't the meat" by the swallows 1951. but there's a moon out tonite is in now way comparable to this
This whole show from PBS was good. Sad some that performed have passed away already. I don't listen to today's music because it is so angry. Get in, get what you can, then get out. Legends aren't made like that. Have yet to find a classic rap station.
My point is you only say that because you like it. So what makes your opinion more valuable then others, because your an adult and you grew up with this music? That has nothing to do with music. I know people will give me thumbs down for this but seriously people will always be saying oh the music back then was so much better etc. Just give it a rest.
One of the great songs of doowop, so sorry that Nick has been ill, my prayers are with him. There's a moon out toooonite. Love those oldies but goodies.
