I love how Angus' musical approach is about doing the best you can, with the tools you have, and having fun doing it. It can take you amazing places, as he found out obviously. Not a hint of musical pretention like you'd get from Satriani and those fucking prog douches who could talk your ear off for hours about modal playing and fucking "sound space" and shit. Just plug in a guitar, play some blues rock and have a blast.

We always get "new direction" albums that f'n suck, because the lead guitarist heard some tribal instrument while vacationing in Africa and we are stuck with some dumb ass scale for half the album. Few successful bands can make the same hard rocking tunes while sitting in a mansion as they did sitting in a trashed one room apartment, AC/DC is one of those legendary bands.
