i followed all steps but i had no gmail and no market. what do you think happened.also i checked what version i had after everything and it was 2.3.7. would that have anything to do with it

I'll put in the description how to get those apps. Cyanogenmod doesn't include those apps because of copyright issues.

@MrBloodytouchez download rom manager free or paid. I recommend paid, but the free one works. then go into it. select download rom and find google apps. Download that and flash it to your phone.

Mine seems to be stuck in a loop at the Cyanogen 7 loop screen. Now I am lost. Any ideas on how to fix this?

@theiceman1972 take out battery. put it in and do the power and volume thing... then the cache and delete data and re install rom from zip.. try that

I like cyanogenmod but the navigation does not work.!! Out would connect but then shortly lose gps. Does it work on 7.1.0

@MrJingchou Nothing is 100% but as long as you create a backup and have rooted successfully then the chance of bricking your phone is VERY slim.

@S0m3b0di if your phone is rooted and your device appears on CyanogenMods website then you are fine.

@MrJingchou As long as your android device is rooted, and your device is listed on the Cyanogen website then this method will work for any phone.

@vanks24 go to google and type in "unrevoked root" and click the first link. Read through everything and make sure your phone's firmware is compatible. Download the program and root.
