Thank you for giving my family something to do on weekends and for making life a little more enjoyable. You were and still are, a great Canadian. Maybe even make it into a textbook or two. Give some of us teens something to enjoy reading about. Thanks again.
I will never forget you Roger. Still a teenager, I grew up with RCAF since the mid 90's, and no my parents did not get me into it. I will always remember the Gilbert Smythe skits. Bite Me! RIP Roger Abbott.
Us at PrankTools truly believe in the kindness of humanity! So when our friend is drinking dangerous chemicals out of a Windex bottle and no one tries to stop him, we were slightly saddened..... although it did make a GREAT PRANK VIDEO!!!
I watched 'Royal Canadian Airfarce' since 1996, Roger Abbott made it soo much fun!!
My friend recorded the show and I got to see it! When I was at one of the tapings of the show, I was sitting up in front, Roger was standing right there where I was, he smiled at me, he liked the idea I was there, a really nice guy!! I have the DVDs, so I can watch him anytime!! Goodbye Roger, you'll be missed alot, thanks for all the fun!!
Goodbye Roger, you will be sorely missed. I grew up watching Air Farce and loved seeing all the skits even though I didn't always understand everything. Thanks for a great run. :)
I'm still in my teenage years, but I did grow up watching RCAF up until it stopped broadcasting regulary a few years ago. That being said, I will miss Roger. He made me crack up many, many times.
Today we losed a great Canadian comic and a Great Newfoundlander RIP Roger Abbott and God bless you forever signed RevFlowerjoy I will pray for you in God's large house.. I will always laugh when he does The Man from Canmore and half of the best Newfoundland news team.
I can't say I laughed at a lot of his comedy but I did at some of it. I am more impressed with the fact he was a public person yet hid his medical issues. Reminds me of Barbara Frum. The dazzling television personality who behind the scenes dealt with a lot of harsh medical issues. That to me is gracious.
I actually saw the Air Farce Tim Hortons set in Toronto. They kept the same doughnuts since they just dry out. Budget cutbacks i guess lol
just like the death of Mister John Morgan rocked me...
the sudden death of Mister Roger Abbott is no different!
canadian comedy has lost two great and-or totally kick ass once human beings now souls who the memory of will never ever die!
*Mike from Canmore + Billy Two Willies, god speed to be able to see you both on the other side, someday soon all the way to real soon, my fellow canucks of hosers*

A great Canadian, great comedian and from what I saw - a great person.
We will always remember those who made us laugh, even more so, those who made us laugh and think about serious matters at the same time.
Thank you and goodbye.

I will miss his language-mangling Chretien, his monotone Leonard Cohen, his gap-toothed Elton John, and his dim-witted G.W. Bush. RIP Roger.
