I wasnt born in 60's in was born in the 70's and this movie didnt bring me to this song. I lived it and recall to this day at the Marine Ball in DC all of us singing to the girls we were dating at the time. The good memories!! Semper Fi
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
i wasnt a soldier in 65,but this song hit me right between they eyes nevertheless. esp the line were say they never stood in dark alone with her...chills!!!
True but yet we didn't have the stress we have today with politicans and their crap, caalifa21239. I'd much rather have things simpler than have live in what we have to endure with some of the things we do now.
@califa213239 Yeah it is a good thing war and incurables diseases are a thing of the past now and just knowing that the traditional family is still intact and everyone knows who their neighbors are makes it all alright again. But seriously now folks doesn't just having cellphones, computers, I -pods and cable TV make losing all that simple life just so worth it? At least now everyone knows where we all are and what we all are thinking
@Appleholic1 That's the thing about it, though. Technology makes us able to communicate even more so, so an average person in Japan gets bombed today, everyone would know about it within seconds instead of having to wait to hear from the government as we did back then. We were so isolated which is why it was so simple.
lol this is my favorite song since my training days , I use to sing this song in regimental parties xD Thanks For sharing Memories are back .............
BEAUTIFUL!!!! I was a wedding reception DJ and I always packed the dancefloor
with this song-this is one of those ultimate slow dance songs!!! Hearing it just makes you want to wrap your arms around that special someone and sway on the dance floor!
@2009Denisem ...Wow it took me 10 months to catch up to you on this one. I was listening to this "jewel" on another channel, and I went in one day and it was pulled...So I ended up here. What an "ELEGANT" song and look at all those "THUMBS" ups... You are just a "ROCK STAR" in your own rights... We eventually just end up on them same song..."BECAUSE" ....We were teens during the greatest era of music ever... The 60"s and 70"s...I am glad we were there.. RickzzSands....AKA...Mr. Las Vegas
my favorite song growing up :) well, this & "Hit the Road Jack"; I used to make my mother play this song over and over again when i was little, and i still absolutely love this song at 24
-.- These are the songs that actually have emotion. I'm 16. I listen to all of these songs because they make sense. not that SHIT that they call music. My generation makes me sick...
i wish i could have lived in this time where this music was more popular and i wouldnt be critisized its hard being 17 and listening to this music at my age
@mrtoughpants You couldn't have picked a better song I've been dancing to this song for forty years and it makes me fall in love every time. congradulation's on your up and coming wedding.
I remember dancing slow dancing to this in high school. A big guy was holding me, and the heat between us was unforgettable. They just don't make music like that any more.
@2009Denisem .. Oh my gosh.. I can't believe it.. Here we are again..Even though your comment is 8 months old, we just seem to end up in the same place.. Wow is this the most beautiful.. "LUSH" song ever?? Man this song just "ROCKS" my world, and is a "HEART" melter.. How in the world do you top this...And yet as we navigate through all the oldies on you-tube it's just like a "TREASURE" hunt, and the "GOLDEN" oldies just keep us coming back for more..."WOW" look @ all those thumbs up.. good job
@memicca, and no one wants to read about how you think you are cool because you say you speak for yourself and others on things that have no importance at all. Get over yourself and get a life mate, it's just a comment.
@gotskittles1 Seriously, no one cares how old you are. We all realize that music like this is "classic", and a lot of younger people don't listen to it or appreciate it. However, It's not really impressive if you're "young" and do. It just means that you have taste. I,like other people, are seriously getting sick of reading comments, saying things like, "oldies r awesome i may be 13 but they rock" or what have you. No one think's you're "cool" because of it. Kudos for having taste though.
This reminds me of my first love. We're no longer together, but I used to sing this to her over twenty years ago. Memories are all I have now....I miss being young...
