Hahaha! I just got rubber bands and I did the exact same thing, so I googled to see if anybody else does this.

haha, mine do that, it's even better cause mine go straight down the middle of my mouth so there's more of a ping to it, i find myself strumming twinkle twinkle little star when i'm bored in class haha.

they help with the positioning of the teeth by applying a different directional force.

My eldest son has since had to use elastics... he has two on each side, so all the more to strum! He too has made 'music' with them!
