  • You seem to be getting a lot of heat, but I think this is well made and I don't see it as shipp-y at all! The love for a sibling or other family member goes deep and this song is totally appropriate. Thank you for making it and sharing it!

  • I just love the Eomer character and the actor himself; great acting

  • awww so beautiful :))

where did you get the clip 3:21-3:28

    i havent seen it before

  • Really beautiful :)

  • I love the part where Eomer finds her on the Pellenor fields. The desperation in his eyes is just beautiful acting. I always crie at that part, especially when you hear him scream.

    Great video! I love it.

I like it that you have Faramir in the video too!

  • Love the song and the bonds of family brother/sister-Mother/daughter, etc are as deep as romantic love. Wonderfully done

  • so sweet

love eowyn and eomer--they really have a special relationship

me and my older bro used to have this kind of relationship, but it kind of faded away as we grew up

  • when the music is over

  • @Missy9415 Uhm, yeah. Look up the song, she wrote it for her mom.

  • @cheesejoose I think it's perfect for them, poor Éomer was very distraught when he found his sister on the battlefield. What's so wrong with saying you'd be devastated if you lost your sister? I know I'd be beside myself if I lost my little brother.

  • @Missy9415 ...Yes, responding in a reasonable way to your unfounded assumptions means he/she needs to chill the hell out. Honestly, get off your high horse and be civil.

  • @Missy9415 You mean you wouldn't cry if your sibling died?

  • @deathcabforcutie67 ummm i never said that so....wanna not cause stupid drama? thanks :)

  • This is just amazing! Grait work!

  • I love their brother/sister relationship, and I love how they may not make it obvious that they love each other, you really can tell that they do. And the scene from 2:50 to 3:00 was one of the hardest scenes from the movie. I wish I had an older brother that loved me like that. Great video.

  • just love ist!

    thx

  • It's so heartbreaking when he finds her on the fields, thinking she's dead. Makes me love my sister a bit more.

  • That is a great scene. Eomer is such a battle tested and hardened character but the sight of his sister lying on the battlefield causes such anguish he loses all composure in his sorrow. Well done Carl Urban.

  • This vid made me cry

    it's so in my favs

  • Well, I think they - especially Eomer for his little sister - would die for each other indeed.

Great video, made me almost cry T.T

    five stars and a favourite;)

  • Karl Urban and Miranda Otto, such a great actors, so talented!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oooooh!

    Sooooooo great!!

  • herr der ringe is und wird immer saugeil bleiben!!!!

    5 Sterne

  • I'm having same thoughts, though I know some of them. Were some of the scenes when they are talking together (like 1:55) in RotK? RotK is the one I'm least familiar with...could tell you every part of the other two lol...

  • Well done. So many of those scenes are unfamiliar. Are they on the extended versions?

Where did you get them. Perfect song :)

    K

  • song name>?

  • Cry by Alex Parks :)

  • they are brother and sister :)

  • You know they're RELATED, right? I mean, just the song, and all that...kinda' random...but oh well, good, still, I guess.

  • Uhm, yeah. Look up the song, she wrote it for her mom.

  • I couldn't read the singer of this song....who is it by?? and it's called cry..right?

  • Alex Parks. Yup, it's called "Cry". It was actually written about her mother.

  • @cheesejoose there related sick perv

  • @xxBoRoMeRxx And? No part of the video implied a sexual relationship and the song is about familial love. And don't throw cheap insults around. It just exposes you as a uncult manchild.

  • Oh and 2.41? Hehe.. Sorry! I really want to know..

Really nice video! The pieces fit very good.

  • This particular scene, Eomer is actually no where near her. He's gone, after having been exiled. This scene is right after Theodred's funeral, where young Eothain and Freda arrive on Garulf and Gandalf sees them. Gandalf counsels King Theoden to face Sauron and Saruman's forces head on, which Theoden refuses. And here, Eowyn says something like "The wildmen are burning as they go, food, cot and tree..." or whatever... something like that. : )

  • Thank you.. I will take a look on my dvd's again=)

  • No, Eowyn is 4 years younger ;)

  • how do you know that? oh wait, did you read the books? i'm not done yet

  • I did read it. Succes with the book! It's worth reading it until the end. =D

  • Does anyone know where I can look 1.52? Never seen it before and I really want to know what they say there.

    Thanks.

  • That deleted scene is in the Extended Edition... can't find it on YouTube, but I'll try to summarize it for you. : )

After Eowyn encourages Merry to go get his blade sharpen at the "smitty", Eomer is basically telling Eowyn that Merry would not stand and fight in a battle, that he would flee once the horror and screams and blood take over, and that war is the province of men.

  • Thank you. =D

  • Hi. I just thought I'd let you know, i just uploaded that scene onto my account - its probably the one i'm most disappointed about peter jackson deleting. it was only about 15 seconds longer, but incredibly powerful.

  • Did you know what happen to the scenes/stills that did not appear in the special editions:

1)Eowyn holding Merry in her arms during battle; 2)Galadriel holding Arwen as she is dying and 3) Eowyn lifting a dagger as orcs go inside the cave in the 2 towers.

  • Hey! umm... not sure I understand what you're saying/asking. Are you saying that those scenes exist somewhere and that they're not on the EE? Or are you asking me why they're not on the EE? Cuz of the three you described, I never saw any of them.

  • Sorry, forgot the question mark. I have the EE versions also. But if u were like me & bought the 1st Fellowship dvd you saw an advance of the 2 towers. One of those scenes had an orc approaching & I believe it's Eowyn on the other side of a wall waiting to strike(9:51-9:54 of behind the scenes TT segment). A friend of mine had TT dvd with an advance of ROTK & there was a slightly longer farwell scene between Merry & Pippin. The other scenes I saw when Jackson commented of the peril of the quest

  • Yeah I 've seen it to somwhere, but never seen it in the movie.

Thougt I saw it on a sticker somwhere.

  • At least I know I didn't imagine it

  • ^^

If I should think what they did with that scene; Is that they made it, but never used it because its not relevant enough, and timepressure...To bad accually ...

  • I think there were other scenes in the movie that went a little long (Arwen reminescing for example). But as character development or dramatic impact some of the scenes cut would've been a sight to see. Oh well, hope they at least put it on deleted scenes if they ever come out on Blu-ray.

  • If so, I must bye myself a blue ray :)

  • I hear they sting if you handle them improperly. Be careful. Wear gloves.

The red ones are less vicious.

    I know...it's counter-intuitive.

  • Can someonne tell me the where the clip at 02:50 til 03:02 something is from? When Eomer finds Eowyn lying hurt on the ground? Haven't seen this part before! Please answer

  • It's from the extended version of "Return of the King".

  • Thanx

  • i think it's my favorite scene in the entire trilogy because it's the only one that shows how much they love each other, emotion is so not either of their styles

  • I love their relationship.

  • what is the name of this song and who is the artist

  • This vid makes me cry!...it's so cute how they're so much like brother and sister. The vid is fantastic.=P

  • they are brother and sister

  • This vid makes me really emotional when i watch it...btw it's a great vid

  • I was so touched when I first watched 'The Return of the King' when Eomer finds Eoweyn on the battlefield. His cry, and his expression of deep dispare really moved me. Sometimes we are so sterile regarding our emotions, or downplay their intensity. Thanks for making such a great video!

  • I totally agree, that scene always brings tears to my eyes, poor Eomer.

Eomer is my second favorite character (after Aragorn)I think they are both very handsome!

  • I agree also. I cry everytime I see this scene. I feel so bad for Eomer. I agree, I think they are both handsome too! :D

  • Excellent video! It is really cool that someone took the time to show the familial relationships that Eowyn had. Thanks!

  • I love the scene, when he lifts her up from the ground, crying and thinking she's dead. I can hardly imagine that there should be anything more precious than the love of two siblings. I myself really would die if I lost my brother!

Thank you so much for this wonderful video!

  • Beautiful vid! It is really sweet how much Éomer cares of his little sister :)

  • who sings this?

  • That was very cool! Good job with the vid and 5 stars from me!

  • ... This video shows their bond as brother and sister not lovers. At least it seems. No need to sexualise an already strong and beautiful bond.

  • I think tolkien knew the hearts of Eowyn and Eomer a little more than you. Hence Eomer wedding Lothiriel. And Faramir and Eowyn's love is amazing, I don't see why anyone should resort to incestuous pairings? And if you can't see the moral reasons on why it's wrong then that's baffling and I hope you don't have siblings.

  • Yeah, you're kind of missing the point. Their family relationship kind of foils Faramir's, where even two brothers cannot openly express affection for each other. Denethor is cold, but they are passionate, loving each other and their country fiercely.

She cried for her brother and her father also. But being the doted-on princess, seeing her dead was a fear of the whole family. She was the one spot of purity they hoped to save from war. And given her passion they knew she'd want to fight.

  • I can also see no sexual aspect in this. Their love is pure, but not romantic. It is innocent and mature. There are other kinds of love than sexual relationships... I think there are a lot of people who don't understand that! You don't need a lover in your life to happy and content!!

  • this was ment as a comment to "heismyoxygen"... again didn't work... as always... dont't know why it never work when I try to reply to a comment ^^..??

  • Ehh.. I don't mind the whole brother and sister thing. Quite frankly, I say fuck the "moral reasons", love is love. But this relationship seems like a typical brother-sister bond to me. ;P

  • Absolutely agree with you. That moment where he runs to his sister, the look on his face is so real and brimming with emotion. Love Karl! :)

  • 2:50 - 3:03 -- the highlight of Karl Urban's performance! Wow.

  • So cute! I'm glad they are finally getting some recognition. I think they should make a movie just about Rohan =]

  • What's the name of this song? And the artist please? It's a very good video, first time I find one of these!! =)

  • It's in the first two seconds of the video. :P

  • Oh! XD

  • Hehe!

  • Such a good vid! The LOTR was so very dense that these great characters got entirely too little screen-time ... glad you helped them along. And wonderful job on the music selection and scene-cutting! A++

  • i loooooove this film!!!! and the song is greeaaat! which program do you use to make this video? thanks!

  • Windows Movie Maker 2.

  • thanks

  • EOMER IS SOOO FUCKEN HOOOT!!!!

  • i saw almost all videos you made ... all are great!! my complements! how did you made them? with which program? how did you get the videoclips from the dvd on your computer?

  • I used DVD Decrypter (free) to rip the DVD to my computer, and then Dr. DivX OSS (also free) to convert those to a .divx file, which I just renamed to an avi and imported into Windows Movie Maker 2. You need to have the DivX codec installed on your computer to do it, though. But that's free, as well.

  • thats cool ! I never seen any thing like it ! I LOVE IT !!

  • such a lovely video!!! No one ever makes videos about these siblings

  • They were cut from the same remarkable Fabric of the Earolingas. Long may they ride! The Contessa

  • I like it! Strange, cause I`m not a LOTR fan...

  • How did I miss this?!? I love the shutter effect. It's a very awesome vid, CJ.

  • Meh.. It's all weird and choppy. Thinking about taking it down, actually. >_>

  • it's so sweet :(
