Hello, I also have an AC4 which has probably become my favorite amp. I like to have it set at 1 watt and volume around 10 o'clock, however with these settings I find it isn't quite loud enough to keep up with a drummer. Would adding the 112 cabinet result in a noticeable increase in overall volume? Thank you!
I actually have this same setup. I use the Vox as my practice amp and have an Egnater Rebel 30 with 112 cab for gigs. The Vox on it's own sounds great but pairing with the 112 cab really provides some nice bottom end and rounds out the sound. Nice classic tones - does it get any better?
Yes, it sounds great with power chords. Sounds like a vintage Marshall. Click on my name as I also made a demo of the Vox AC4TV. This is really a great amp.
There's an external 16 ohm speaker output on the AC4TV back panel. It mutes the internal combo speaker which allows you to run 16 ohms into a bigger cabinet. Sounds great. Love this amp.
Depends on the room and the drummer. In a cafe setting, I would imagine it would work well. On a stage un-mic'd or a bigger room...or perhaps playing with a hard hitting drummer, it would be a bit hard to hear over a lot of other instruments. If you mic'd it, and raised the speaker closer to ear level, it would work very well through a PA system and as a personal monitor.

@lastdon5581 Not for this cheap. A buddy of mine recently picked up a 65 Amp, and it sounds all together better than my setup at gigging volumes.

I use VOX AC-4 Combo with or without VOX 112 cabinet. It sounds fantastic.

Beautiful playing, just great clean sound. You can tell a good guitarist by how well they play clean, and you can really play clean!

Hey All,
I am planning to get this (AC4TV) AMP. However i have 3 questions about it.
1 Can this amp sound clean at higher volumes?
2 Will this amp handle Heavy Metal Distortion too?
3 Is this amp loud for 4 Watts? If yes can i do a gig with it in say a 3000 square foot Auditorium?

OK, so you are NOT using a vox head right? i mean, that is a COMBO ac4tv?
Its just that i didnt know you could plug em into a cabinet

Of course you can plug the combo into an external cabinet, but make sure the cabinet is 16 ohms or you'll blow the transformer.

sweet walking riff at 2:00. Is that your own or is it a cover of something?

Just improvisation :) Listen to Tuck Andres do that with pop songs...he's like a whole band.
