  • Jeff Beck doesn't mute the strings behind the slide. If I play that way, the sound will be terrible. Well I am not Jeff Beck, but anybody out there happen to know how to get decent sound without muting strings behind?

  • @ulisescervantes hairband? never tried it but I've seen it done.

  • I read where Jeff Beck played aTelecaster back in the '60 and nobody even heard of a Telecaster before, also he strung it with piano strings to boot!

  • Jeff Beck also plays F**KING good slide...

  • It's very nice how he always ask the audience to praise the musician with whom he is sharing the stage... just like in the Cream's days...

  • QUE BIEN QUE SUENA ESTE TEMA SIEMPRE ME GUSTO LA FORMA DE CANTAR Y TOCAR DE ERIC CLAPTON

    QUE VIVA EL BLUES

    DANTE YABAR

    LIMA PERU

  • Just found this, thanks for posting....loving it!!!!

  • This version is very, very close to the Elmore James version. That's the slide motiff too. His sound is very close to EJ tone.

  • Music is NOT a competition, it's a wonderful, awesome, life giving thing. All of you will realize that when you get older. Just enjoy it and stop comparing everyone to everyone else. NO ONE CARES...

  • Live Fleetwood Mac version with Peter Green and the boys blows this away! 40+ years ago! The Blues is timeless!

  • Steve Gadd!

  • Love this man.. incredible

  • Wow, I play this song and I never even thought to put the slide on the middle finger. Jeez.

  • whats is with that silver band on Becks arm? Is he heading off to do a Spartacus movie or something?

  • i think beck is the 1 whos grown more musically over the years

  • What concert is this? Does anyone know some site online where i can buy it on dvd?

  • @nesrokk Crossroads guitar festival 2010. Look it up on amazon, there are two other concerts in 2004 and 2007 too, loads of great artists feature. Peace!

  • i think they had to stop early otherwise beck wouldve taught eric a lesson the guitar and embarrassed him

  • @shredmaster100 Maybe Eric would have picked up the phone then, and take a call to Norway, so they can fly a guy over to teach Jeff. ;)

  • 2:29 Look now he's just calling up our next hero ''Jack Black'' xD

  • @thirteenthletter No he's not lol. He's as english as these two, Just knows egotistical, over-rated players when he hears them. I've met Beck 3 times and belive me he dont like anyone better than him playing lead or being told anyone's better at something than he is lol!!. Watched him completely drown someone out with volume after they played a verse of how high the moon better than he did.. Suppose he must have something but it's nothing I can hear.. :p

  • Mama told papa-Take it eazy daddy

  • Fourqmofo is a bloody American who thinks America is the best in the world. Wake up your idea asshole.

  • I'm seriously cracking up. Look at those kids 'comparing' who's better and who's not. ;)

  • Bloody hell. If you guys don't like these British legends, then just don't listen to it. Didn't USA enjoy the blues after Eric Clapton repackaged it? Imbeciles.

  • Jeff Beck my hero...............this is golden pictures.

  • The cream of british guitarists.. that's why british blues in general isn't as good as u.s blues. Cant stand jeff beck unless he's playing slide. He usually plays les paul riffs badly and relies on his vibrato to the point of it being silly His rockabilly attempts are quite entertaining though. ( wish he'd let Darrel Higham play more as he blows him away! oh wait that's why he plays rhythm lol) and Clapton's overrated too. I've heard better than these big headed ex junkies at local jam night. :p

  • @Fourqmofo okay I'll bite - what do you have against old British ex-junkies?

  • @SmileyGarrish Nothing if they're really as good as people think :p

  • total shit compared to PETER GREEN'S FLEETWOOD MAC.

  • gotta love songs about ass lolz

  • Everytime I hear Beck (with slide) and Clapton (as lead guitar), I can see two legends alive: Muddy and Little Walter. The sound from Beck's guitar when he plays the slide it's like the harp of Walter. Maybe I'm deaf or stupid, but I can't help it.

  • Great version, second only to Elmore's! The fun ends too soon though.

  • steve gadd on drums

  • Jeff Beck F*c*s about too much on this video, he was better with the Yardbirds, TMFW

  • 年取るごとにクラプトンの歌は味が増すなぁ。良い声だ・・・

  • Two good ' ole' boys !

  • Jeff Beck's tone is sick here!

  • @TheRealRayJ Of course, he´s playing through a Marshall with one 4x12 vintage cabinet...! Very cool performance, funny to see Clapton´s expression while Jeff playes his slide solos. Looks like Jeff finds it hysterical too :-D

  • @MrDeerecub1977 that is definitely stevie winwood at 1:45

  • @mrnose55q He was sick in one of these concerts with Eric Clapton playing Georgia on My Mind on the organ.

  • stevie winwood at 1:45?

  • @MrDeerecub1977 could be, he played voodoo chile with eric at crossroads

  • bottleneck, FUCK YES!!

  • Is the guitar Blackie? *__*

  • @francesco100594 The one Eric is using here?

  • @Scaura90 Yes, at beginning i thought it was Blackie, but looking better it's a similar guitar xD

  • @francesco100594

no, blackie was sold few years ago, it's no longer in Eric's possesion.

  • @francesco100594 Yeah, i forgot that, my fault!

  • does jeff beck age

  • Think the end took Eric by suprise...seems he was just getting into that solo, These guys are two giants for sure, whichever you prefer. Great to see them both still laying it down...

  • clapton&beck on the same stage......satisfaction guaranteed...they were amazing..

  • How odd Clapton and Beck doing a Elmore James classic. Certainly the best cover is Jeremy Spencer (Fleetwood Mac) to the slide guitar and vocals.

  • Where is Mr. Page?

  • @chez117 hahahh i just found this funny cuz thats the name of my chemistry teacher

  • @arisetheband Ahahahahahaahah That's hilarious!!! You should go to him and be like... now Where is Mr.Plant? :p

    -Chez

  • basically you have the two best british guitarists on stage at the same time. only jimmy page could make this better.

  • bbnatedogg, thanks geetar brother....

  • never see jimmy page play together with them since 83......

  • *HERE*

  • kdhdv, I do agree with you that clapton has not been the same lead player since the 60's. But I totally disagree that p.greene is a better blues guitarist. I've been playing in bands since the early 90's. As a lead guitarist, I must say greene doesn't hold a candle to clapton. greene is good and has a nice vibrato but he can't wail and rip like the old clapton did. Claptons vibrato touch may not be quite as good as greenee but its damn close. Mayall has never topped that Beano album.

  • @ECwashr U should check out his live videos from his From The Cradle tours her on youtube. Mid-90's and some of the best playing of his career IMO!

  • why did they stop just as eric got goin?! he was bout to bring the house down n it just ended :(

  • @snakkajak Because Eric decided to end it. He's the leader here. They were following his lead on this tune.

  • @snakkajak

    You nailed it !

  • @snakkajak was planned that way

  • @snakkajak I've got a feeling it's cause they planned to end 4 bars after jeff beck's solo ended, but clapton got caught up in the mood and decided to solo too

  • @snakkajak Clapton coudnt bring a matchstick house down

  • @snakkajak

    No shit. What's with that?

  • Two amazing legends at once - Beck and Clapton! It is amazing that these guys still play like this in their mid-60's. It is just sick!

    Thank you for the post!!!!

  • decent cover. check out elmore james for the real thing.

  • Is that Clapton's amp on the left @ 0:30? If so, can someone decipher his settings?

  • well, i'm glad 2 hear ppl givin the drummer his due

  • OMG Steve GADD on drums! im in heaven

  • They are both HOT! Yeah! Love them!

  • It's really awesome but I would love to hear something more from Page :<

  • 2 ppl already shaked their money maker

  • 3コードのシンプルな曲も巨人たちが演奏するとこんな凄いことになる

    ジェフとテレキャスターメチャクチャ似合う

  • Too short :(

  • that's funny, I was just thinking how this video sounds like a Budweiser commercial.

  • fuck adds on youtube!!!

  • beck nails it at 3minuts and his face and claptons says it all

  • we are witnessing the greatest guitar player ever JEFF BECK

  • claptons playing thru a tweed twin beck is playing thru the stuff on the left of the drummer his rig changes alot depending on who he is playing with

  • Is that Beck or the bassist who is playing through what looks like a tweed bassman?

  • @timeticker326 Eric actually, its a 57 re-issue

  • ...neither two... ;)

  • This video is the prove that there just doesn't exist one only God

  • Mr. Clapton you are welcome to play in Denmark call before you come Greetings Henrik skou

  • @henrik2920 Agreed!

  • Incredible , these same guys played in the same band 45 years ago ...lol !

  • Il n'y pas à dire: le son fabuleux du bottleneck me fera toujours les mêmes effets ....Jubilation!!!

  • Wish these guys would play more Elmore. They're great bluesman.

  • well that just made this even better

  • Colombia!

  • is that steve gadd on drums?

  • @ricerocketeeer You right

  • @ricerocketeeer Yea It's him... ;)

  • COME TO PERU I'M GONNA SHOW U SOMETHING NICE!

  • god damn, Clapton right now is as good as never before!

  • Blessed be HIS Name +

  • @konrid22 are you watching same vidio that I am seems to me Jeff Beck is doing all the guitar work and Clapton is playing rythem with a small lead at end of song that is his same tired old stuff

  • @fed1126 It might not be some overly amazing guitar solo, But you have to understand the way two guitarists work onstage. not to mention if this is at crossroads he has been shuffling 20 something bands on and offstage all day. it takes alot out of you. he may have just been tired and making room for jeff to do his awesome bits.

  • @fed1126 yea, maybe you're right, but his tone is really beautiful :p

  • @konrid22 I agree on tone. this vid is from madison Square Garden NYC I believe I was there. I love and have always love E.C. I just think reading some of these posts some people don't give Jeff the credit he deserves . I truely believe he not only has passed E.C. by but every other guitarest today. Just went to see him with Amelda Mae band at Beacon Theater in NYC he was outstanding check out some of those you tube vids from March 28 show at Beacon

  • @fed1126 In this case it was in different way: For me it's obvious that Jeff is really insane guitar player so I didn't even mention it :)

The reason that Jeff never became so popular as Clapton or Page is that he haven't done enough good material for mass receivers... :(

  • @konrid22 check out jeff beck jimmy page the immagrant song 9 min. version

  • @fed1126 I disagree. JB doesnt surpass Eric if he chose to play slower after his great cream days in my opinion. Eric was way ahead of his time until Hendrix. Eric just decided to play slower solos with more meaning.

I do think JB is a great guitar player who is underrated but even his recent amazing playing doesnt beat the solos Eric did in Cream in my opinion.

  • @kdhdv E.C. is great but cream days are over right now he is not the same John Mayall was asked when E.C. left the Blue Breakers how he would replace E.C. and he said I have someone better Peter Greene.and as far as Hendrix what a shame just imagine what he would be doing today. Look to see what e.c. and jimmy page say about beck

  • please come to argentina!!!

  • lmao is'nt that hurting jeffs arm?

  • Im Shaking Eric !

  • Funny how both guitarist are about the same age, but Jeff looks and sounds so much more younger than Eric.

  • @oliaiguambfigues76 well i guess jeff colouring his hair and not being kind of a star than clapton is toakes its place

  • 2guitar god and legend man on the stage!

it is a excellent! beautiful! lovery!amazing!

    nice elmore james cover!

  • that is some sick singing from clapton... fine wine I say!

  • Awesome, Eric & Jeff are amazing.

  • yes is awesome!! rock n roll 4 ever!

  • Comment removed

  • groovin. this is awesome. ec and beck killing it here.

  • sounds like somebody ended it short

  • rock 'n roll!

  • Kina hacky

  • Gawd, I cannot believe that Beck is 66. This is just impossible. Still at the top of the heap, but some dissonance here.

  • who is the only disliker of this video?

  • Thank you for allowing us to embed it, finally! - you'll notice the views going up now.
