  • The lyrics to this song impress the hell out of me. So much thought, emotion and conviction. Goddamn.

Puts all that "BITCHES MONEY GUNS" bullshit to shame. If only all rap had this much love, effort and meaning put into it.

  • I bumped this for Steve Jobs!!!!

    R.I.P.

  • holly shit

  • One of my favorite hip hop albums of all time. Real rap. One of those albums you can just play all the way through without skipping one track.

  • ‎"This Is Me, My Life, And My Music Get@Me, Capone Dub Entertainment On Google And Youtube,Point One On Jango And DatPiff.Com, With PointOne On Itunes,CaponeDubbEnt@Yahoo.Com, Get At Me"Justin D. Myers/Point One/Capone Dub Entertainment(Ascap)

  • misterpea.bandcamp.com/track/your-life

  • woow !!!...........

  • wow !!

  • Kweli's second verse is exactly the same as his verse in the Lupe Fiasco song "After All." Im just kinda curious if anyone knows the background behind that?

  • @carliissohot After All is a mixture of Lupe's verse from "Just Might Be Ok" and Kweli's verse from this song → think of it as a remix

  • @GCrAcKa808 Oh okay, I figured it was something like that, thanks man.

  • @carliissohot anytime bro

  • pff.. speechless.. this is how it should be. Impossible that even 2 people do not like this.. This kind of hip hop really saves lives, inspires people, helps people.. Kinda like religion..

    fucking love it

  • i find it funny that rawkus is extremely liberal and it was funded by the murdochs who are the most evil (conservative) individuals in the history of the world... kind of ironic isnt it?

  • this is hot

  • i bought this album for £10 you should all do the same!

  • @TheBlaizeobrien is that in pounds

  • should've been hip-hop quotable............".you only scared to die when you ain't living right man!"

  • Good Mourning..

  • One of the few left !

  • Mad Duke, rock, rock on and,

  • @KweliDk Curtis Mayfield, rock, rock on and/

  • which is the instrumental that sounds at first?

  • nice bit

  • ur all missing the point of the songs.. rehearse on what you think the line: 'i'm probably already on the government list for my rhyming.. your a FOOL if you dont think that have already tapped your line'... 'i need you all to be clear on exactly what im saying.. for your attention span to understand that i aint playing....WAKE UP PPL!

  • @sweetgal7866 Agreed.

To me though, this track is so much deeper. First track in a while to bring tears to my eyes. Makes me think about my fam and shit and how meaningful I am to them. Kweli has definitely been one of my main influences in life.

  • i love this clasic shit

  • inspiration set to a drum beat...life is hard, death is harder, DAMN!...talib is my role model, my daughter recognized talibs voice on any track by the time she was 3yrs old!! good stuff, miss those days...WAKE UP, LISTEN!!!

  • great song. big l shout out is wit it

  • @protoman811 man this song can wake up anybodu is there train of thought, it bring you back to reality. this is the type of work I'll would like to hear again. Talib is above the gouvernement on this track.

  • honestly this may possibly be the best collaboration ever!

  • like listening to music that's food for the soul!!! not that bs that sounds like confusion and chaos. Check out this Ohio native, mario wisdom video, he's only 15 and is in line to be one the greats. Shout out to Talib Kweli and Hi Tek!!!!

  • Its time to change. Color isnt shit we all have eyes and ears you can see how fucked up this world is, You can hear the screams in the night, and you can feel the pain of the dieing and dead. Lets unite for the good of humankind.

  • this song stopped me from selling drugs......over 3 years ago and still clean!!!

    real talk

    straight fire!!

  • @BeEazzzy

Thats pretty cool have to admit.

  • @BeEazzzy i was about to cap a ho but i thought of this song and thought na. over 3 months without gunnin someone.

  • @BeEazzzy You shouldn't have been selling drugs in the first place you ignorant scumbag. Stop acting like it's a hard thing to give up, and stop looking for credit for something you shouldn't have been doing in the first place. I'll tell you what's hard to give up, a heroin or crack cocaine habit. Is you hearing this song and give up a consolation to the people who's lives you destroyed and their families while you were still selling? You sicken me with your empty boasting.

  • @itsallreal hahahaha shut the fuck up you bitch......

I was pointing out how these lyrics made me take think about life and take a real look at myself @ that particular time. Fuckin right I shouldn't have been doing that, but you don't always make the best decisions when you're young. I was a drug user as well and I was able to change, rise up and live above it. I didn't destroy any lives either, I wasn't selling crack and never took anybodies possessions, it was small-time.

  • @itsallreal So before you go running your fucking mouth about something you have no actual knowledge on, think twice you crying bitch.

  • @BeEazzzy I have more knowledge in my left testicle then you could hope for in a lifetime, son.

  • @itsallreal Child please.

  • @itsallreal left testicle screaming 'i have a dream?'

  • @BeEazzzy the general population will never understand someone's weakness and demons, don't listen to these little children, keep doin ya thing man, change can only go for the better.

  • @BeEazzzy your a kid

  • @franciscobarcia yeah, thanks for the ID check, clown

  • This is one of the best hip-hop songs ever made. The beat, the lyrics and the flow it's all flawless. It makes your body relaxed and you really listen because you want to hear what he is telling next. Not like this commercial bullshit nowadays where there is two punch lines in the song and the rest is just fill outs and biting from other songs. Talib and Hi-Tek one of the best duos of all time!

  • Beat sick, wit like that dead president sample just a bit but better. and Talib couldnt went in any harder on this here shit man. always correct.

  • This the track i listen to when i'm walkin in the city at night, thinkin my life thru

this is what hip hop is supposed to be, this is real hip hop

  • guys if u like this song search Domanique Grant.. she made an awesome remake remix to it

  • RIP NUJABES! illest beats 4ever!

  • @ilovewoofy hell fuckin yeah.

  • The best song by Talib in his (solo)carreer, some blackstarr tracks were on the same level.

  • you're only scared to die when you ain't livin' right

  • Young Black boys and girls and all children should learn their histories. Learn your before you listen to musician that have been harmed by their government and history. Knowledge of your personal struggles unfortunately isn't enough to inform the uninformed. Learn your history, both good and bad to become strong in will, mind, and proud of yourself. Once you become proud and knowledgeable, there isn't a fool on this Earth that can lie to you or make you feel less. Study David Walker's Appeal

  • Makes ya want to spread the word

  • real lyrics.. real content... real hip hop!! Rawkus was one of kind!!

  • fire!!!!

  • Jevote Greene rock, rock on.

  • damn shit is fire

  • Hip-hop is piss on the radio now, and I'm actually much more a rock fan anyway, but this album and this song in particular are untouchable.

  • talib kweli is not god, god is talib kweli. respect you talib, really do mah nigga

  • Talib may not be the most lyrical lyrical MC, (depending on what you classify as lyrical) but he does speak real shit

  • This CD is a Classic....played my first copy soooooooo much it started skippin, then got my 2nd one stolen but I had to buy it again for my collection.

  • @Laylock16 tru..thats real shit..try listening to this while smoking kush...( wow ) ....

  • This is TOO GOOD...

  • damn dis shits deep as hell, dis real hip hop not that shit thats played on the radio

  • fuckin luv dis album. 1st time i listened 2 it was in mallorca on holiday/vacation-same shit. this song especially reminds me of chillin on the balcony watchin ppl go into town about 8 o clock. i can feel the warm breeze. its weird how music and food can transport you to the past.

  • 2 sik for a-real world

  • my heart is racing but i know just what i stand for!!!

    this shit's sooo deep

  • Its all about distracting people from whats really real so that they can keep the status quo thats why tracks like this will never get played on the radio as long as things stay the way they are

  • The time comes for everybody ... <3

  • KWELI

  • he speaks the real shit thats why mc's like him are in the underground cus of these commercial bitches gettin pimped by labels sick ass song unbeatable beat

  • @oleMercyfulFate

    @olemercyfukfate

like dumb ass gucci and jeezy

  • I miss rawkus..........

  • @Pensivechi word ,word and WORD.

  • This is true Hip-Hop. MCs like Talib Kweli spit lyrics that matter.

  • lol I forgot Talib use that line first then Jay-z borrowed it....".just because nobody understand what you saying don't necessarily mean what you saying is deep"

  • This is hip hop that heals!!!

  • @sonicsoundwaveus STRIGHT UP..PROFUND YET UNDERATED...KWELI'S THA MAN!!!

  • Ooops. I forgot about Love Language <--ALSO CLASSIC!! Like I said, one of the MOST UNDERRATED albums in hip hop history. "I'm probably on some government list for my rhyme and you a fool if u don't think that they ALREADY tapped your line." YES!!

  • lloyd banks? fuck outta here with that.

  • @jose4891 yo thats your opinion if you dont like Banks but he a lyrical terrorist. go listen to the V5 mixtape then come back with your reviews

  • I dont respect Lloyd Banks, or anyone who runs around (or used to run around) with 50 Cent in G-Unit. Mobb Deep is the lone exception. And they even had a few shitty years with G-Unit. Plain and simple, Banks is fake and he goes against everything i look for in hip hop. If your into him thats cool, but don't preach to me.

  • Slaughterhouse + Blakcstar would= the greatest hip-hop group of all time, hands down.

  • FACT!

  • thats kl den. n a aint preachin am sayin init
