I used mint to wipe out xp on my computer then installed ubuntu on a small partition and liked it more. Unless 11.04 has GNOME or a version that's not unity free I might switch back.
I currently use Linux Mint v10. I have used Ubuntu for a long time (former Windows user.) I personally like Linux Mint not just because it was setup in such a way to provide a smooth transition for Windows users but because I have noticed on an older CQ20-215DX that it provides a more stable platform. Ubuntu crashes quite a bit on this lappy whilst Linux Mint has yet to crash. So +1 for Linux Mint for me, btw MoonOS with e17 will not run well on CQ62.
Mac people who've found it a good idea to have Ubuntu on their Macs (dual boot config) have complained that Ubuntu just won't do connect to their home wireless. I found that Ubuntu as a live disk WILL connect wirelessly on an Intel MacBook. Another Mac user agreed--but that same customer complains that while his Mac will connect wirelessly on the LiveDisk, no way can he get it to connect wirelessly, not even with Ubuntu fully installed on his MacBook.
I tryed both ubuntu and mint. Ubuntu was pretty good but when you try mint it's like, this shit is better. So mint kick ass! it's easier to watch youtube too. plus you can use ubuntus shit on mint so another fucken point for mint.
linux mint is much better than ubuntu. basically it is ubuntu + bugfixes+codecs+flash+java. who would stick with ubuntu? ive been using mint ever since mint 6 i was an ubuntu user since 6.10 but now i cant go back to ubuntu.. its getting redicously buggy... mint is for me.
@Raja221 I think a bug is my problem. I upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04. And, now all of a sudden, I LOST my launchpad with all my stuff on my desktop. So, I am looking for something else, for FREE.
Linux mint has exceeded Ubuntu when it comes to being user friendly, and also looks way better... i've always said that Linux Mint is Ubuntu done right.... I use Arch Linux, but I hope one day Mint gets big enough to break away from ubuntu and be its own independant distro
Linux Mint 11 = Windows 7
Xubunt = Mac
Ubuntu with Unity = Bull shit

In my opinion they are the !SAME!.....
The only thing that differs is that Ubuntu has bigger community and mint is a bit better on design(this is matter of taste of course......)

I would say Sabayon Linux. It has a great community, and the OS is slick. Try Mint, Sabayon, and Ubuntu. You decide.
