the theme song says this: Come and get it come and get it... its people (you can eat) ? eat people ? so this show proofs there are meat loafs by the big guys on the tablet plate with of course yes cheese cheeese.
@punji73 bloody hell they should mate.. this on dvd come and get it., Ok. healthy standard wont change the way the world will be. will bloody take generations till people realise healthy and whats not. So as much adertice about healthy is concern it wont change much at all. Cant control someone. Plus healthy food cost twice more then low standard bloody food. Ok time to shove cheese on top. cheers.
@punji73 bloody hell mate. where do you think i carry the cheese ? wouldnt be comming out of anyones role bread bums. Though i tell you son each time i run around the paddics my cheese are packed for all the aussies. Ok.. lets just make some soup with potatoes or 2 for the wog. cheers :)
i remember watching peter russell clarke on the abc when i was a little girl he's bloody brilliant and i love him in the coon cheese ads well these days he's painting and loving it!!!!!!!!!!
when I was a kid I always wanted to see the 'feed your eagle' show. Never ever happened and as I grew up I realised it was clever viral advertising in the opening credits to make kids like me watch the show. very clever. great show.
Thanks for posting this, I remember watching Come & Get It on ABC after primary school in the late 80s. Anyways Peter's cooking looks great, this would be something good to try out. Also in reflection to Peter n Tony's attitude towards nonstop running I can say Peter's passion is more for cooking n Tony's is for running but if Peter wanted to do what Tony does, he can do it if he had the same attitude n motivation as Tony.
Anyway, listeners of the radio program "Get This" may remember the extensive discussion between Tony Martin and the late Richard Marsland about whether the two "g'day"s in the theme song were different, and said by PRC twice, or whether they just repeated the same "g'day" twice. Having listened to the theme song a few times, I'm going for the latter.
9 years (He mentioned that figure in an interview on Triple J earlier this year) Each one only went for about 5 minutes so you'd get quite a few episodes on a DVD
Nine years on the ABC according to PRC himself. Apparently most of the years the bosses at ABC either didn't know about the show or didn't watch their own programs, so nobody even knew he was there ;-)
Does anyone remember what the schoolyard take off was on the intro, I can't remember.

Good energy.

that was awessome. I remember this from my childhood. If you have anymore please post them.
The ABC should so bring out a DVD of all the episodes. How long did the series go for?
mcfad35 3 years ago 9
Bring out the DVD with the program's blooper reel as a extra feature... I dare the ABC!
kuttsywood 3 years ago 11
It'd need an R Rating if they do

The heads at the ABC don't have a sense of humour.
They drive Toyota Camrys, and living in bubbles to ensure the filth of the world does not touch them.
