@joaquinveyron The problem is that so far SOCIALIST countries so far have been third world, backward countries. Marx said that the Revolution had to start in the most advanced societies, as they are more civilized and closer to the idea of socialism.

Take the US, for example. If a Socialist Revolution happened in the US, the American people already enjoy freedom and individual rights, so they would not allow these to be stripped from them. All you need to add to the equation is equality.
