@riachupwns FE7 and FE9 are ideal entry points for the series. Everything else is either Japanese, sequels, half baked, or too fundamentally different for the best impression.
Unbelievably, my last playthrough of this game, my entire team was RNG blessed, none of my standard team was crappy, and ike killed the black knight with 2 aethers in a row, I still don't think I believe it.
I tried this fight about eight times over the past month. I was completely unwilling to advance to chapter 28 without defeating him, and I just got it. I wish I would have found this earlier, to think of equipping Miracle. It would have saved me some game overs! I ended up beating him because he missed Ike the first four times and I got two Aethers at the end. Very intense and difficult fight to win, but it feels so good to have done it. :)
you got extremely lucky. every time i t did this fight dude always pulled a Luna out of his ass some how. I've never lost to him only failed to kill him my first play through
After clearing radiant Dawn(without playing path of radiance) Ike looks SOOOO different!!! He was so small... Anyway it's true that if you have a save slot of PoR you can continue RD with the same stats?!!
@TheCousinRumble You can transfer data, yes, but you don't exactly have the same stats- if any of your characters was at the maximum level, and had one of their stats maxed, then it'd be 2 higher in RD. (5 HP, in the case of maxed HP)
I'm currently playing this game before i start Dawn, and I am at this part just taking a short break. I got extremely unlucky when I got to the BK, when he counterattacked me he got a Luna proc and f**ked me up, then he hit me with a normal attack and i was done. I don't think I'm max hp and stuff but I should be able to beat him if i don't get that unlucky again, also I was stupid and lost Mist on the mission that she and Rolf joins you.. Yeah I know, I'm half tempted to restart the game.

I'm wondering how long it would take redoing everything without the reading, probably like 20 hrs.. I will see how it goes trying the BK a few more times first and then if I really HAVE to I guess I restart =/ I lost a lot of characters this being my first FE game and playthrough I ever played, so I would make sure to keep them alive this time D:

You'll either last the turns and get Ena or get lucky and double Aether him and get Nasir. Mist is not needed to win, just makes it easier.
@KeybladeWarrior7 I know that happened to me too, it was either I end up running out of turns and we retreat or I take a risk from luna. Got luna'd twice in a row and i had to redo the chapter....
But my second playthrough the absolute opposite happened, I used aether the first attack on the first turn then he attacked and i counter with aether, it was just overkill then. Basically it depends on luck or a great wrath combo.

Actually, In RD, his armors blessing is gone. My final presumption is that the rock crushing his armor caused the spell to break. By the time he recovered from paralysis, he must have used his warp powder before he died. My general assumption.
Yea he lost it which is why you can just nab a Hammer and smash him in one turn if you can double him (sure 70%(assuming maxed skill) you can still miss but if both hit its a kill)
Both of these people are correct. With the impenetrable armor and warp powder, his escape was made inconspicuously thus why he is able to fight again in Radiant Dawn
@champion5545 in the reccomended storyline ike doesnt kill the bk he runs and nasir comes in and the enemies make the building collapse on both the bk and nasir but i guess the bk just warped and nasirs just that strong
i got lucky enough to end up with nephenee at 23 speed 20/20 jill 16 speed 20/20 ike 20 strength 20/20 soren 20 speed 20/20 i just got totaly rng screwed with the growth bands!!!!
Well, hes not supposed to be too tough in RD. Ike's supposed to have grown in strength and the Black Knights not even the second to last boss. Ike is so amazingly powerful in RD. Vanguard is epic. :)

So I had the same situation as you. Ike a lvl 20 Lord, and Mist was a Valkyrie.. Idr what lvl she was. And yes, this battle is an insanely lucky one. It's not that hard to get through the stage though so I don't mind starting over if I don't beat him. But my Aether did activate twice. And I got Nasir! =D I have to admit, he is a huge help in the final stage. He took down all 3 Red Dragons near the fountain in the middle alone.
I never managed to beat him in this game. My normal attacks only did 4 damage. Aether only activated once, the very first attack, and I didn't know there was a 5-turn limit.
yea theres a 5 turn limit lol...i didnt get to beat the black knight and was bummed cause of it.
after the 5 turns the castle falls due to the power of the battle but nasir attacks the black knight so he cant move and lets ike mist and ena to escape so...nasir sacrifices himself to let the others free
great aether which u learn from an occult scroll that only ike can learn is the move where ike throws the sword up and hits twice for a ton of damage. if you ever played the previous game the hero class had a move like it. its also his final smash in super smash bros. brawl.
actually Aeither is a Skill Learned by Ike when he's a Lord and you use an Occult Scroll on him its not great aeither but its his recovery move in SSBB
Aether is a skill you can give Ike by using Occult. You can get this in the chapter against Norris, when you protect the Apostle. Occult can be obtained twice in the game.
Aether is a skill that let's Ike attack twice, as well as absorbing HP.
if you beat the fire emblem on game cube you can use the memory card on the wii and the people on radiant dawn who was in path of radiant will be stronger
You can use an item when she's at lvl10, it's called magister (in the French version, I don't know the name in the English one), you can have it by defeating certain enemies during the game.
Miracle helps you stay alive like if Ike had 2 hp and the Black Knight would attack Ike then luckily it would activate so TYhe Black Knight would only take 1 damage and not kill Ike.
Aether is Ike's Occult skill. It activates both Sol and Luna, meaning the first hit (and possibly the second) restore Ike's health equal to the damage he deals, and Luna cuts the enemy's defense in half. In other words, few people survive the attack.
What i did was save all the items that boost his stats and then gave it to him right after becoming a lord that way he would be maxed out quicker and i also got his luck to an amazing 29. o and the only skill he had was aether.
how do you max out characters :S only by gathering items? or how? cause my ike is not maxed out in any stat cause of the random stats gains with each level, or im missing something?
I'm still amazed by the fact the didn't put voiced dialogues... I know most of the times voice acting sucks, but it'd be nice.. I have good memories from the voice acting in Valkyrie profile for the psx ^^
Still,if you had completed the game,you would know the Black Knight's armour is blessed. You also see the person playing select Ragnell before engaging him.
I fought the Black Knight and he did Luna on Ike twice in a row and IT WAS QUITE FRUSTRATING BECAUSE I LOST TO HIM ON THAT CHAPTER TWICE ALREADY! But it was still a cool fight.
Find them in Chests or on some people./ There is one in a chest on the pirate ship where you protect the space from the ravens and Daein and another is on Taoruneo when you recruit him. Thats all I can think of.
you can beet him with just 1 Aether but Mist has to be high enough lvl and promoted of course to be able to take out all the enimies that come out. if mist has high enough magic then a Physic staff the Magic sword (w/e its called) and she can keep Ike healed when nesisary and take out all the guys that come out so they wont have time to heal the BK
actually you need two aethers cuz my ike had all max stats except for magic and resistance fighting the black knight (ikes level 20) and i got unbelieveably lucky getting an aether on my first attack and second, killing him.
yeah that happened to me with volke and sothe... kinda. I thought volke would never get better than lvl. 20 so i gave the bexp to sothe and volke upgraded classes and i thought crap sothe sucks compared to volke now.

His armor can only pe penetrated by legendary weapons, so I think that no matter how heavy the rock, it could not crush his armor.

If you gave him the Seraph Robe from the first chapter, he should be at least 58. If not, then it will be significantly lower.

I know you said this a long time ago, but actually, you can get 4 Occult scrolls:
Chp. 13: (The one you mentioned) in one of the chests.
Chp. 16: Recruit Stefan and talk to him at base.
Chp. 21: Recruit or kill Tauroneo.
Chp. 27: Defeat the boss (Forgot his name)
and Aether activates Sol and Luna.
Sol - Recover as much HP as you dealt (Like a Runesword/Nosferatu)
Luna - Halves target's defence for the attack. (Deals double damage, duh)
Basically, you deal a Critical and get HP back

if you beat the fire emblem on game cube you can use the memory card on the wii and the people on radiant dawn who was in path of radiant will be stronger

You can use an item when she's at lvl10, it's called magister (in the French version, I don't know the name in the English one), you can have it by defeating certain enemies during the game.

Aether is the attack starting at 3:27
Miracle helps you stay alive like if Ike had 2 hp and the Black Knight would attack Ike then luckily it would activate so TYhe Black Knight would only take 1 damage and not kill Ike.

Aether is Ike's Occult skill. It activates both Sol and Luna, meaning the first hit (and possibly the second) restore Ike's health equal to the damage he deals, and Luna cuts the enemy's defense in half. In other words, few people survive the attack.

What i did was save all the items that boost his stats and then gave it to him right after becoming a lord that way he would be maxed out quicker and i also got his luck to an amazing 29. o and the only skill he had was aether.

how do you max out characters :S only by gathering items? or how? cause my ike is not maxed out in any stat cause of the random stats gains with each level, or im missing something?

I'm still amazed by the fact the didn't put voiced dialogues... I know most of the times voice acting sucks, but it'd be nice.. I have good memories from the voice acting in Valkyrie profile for the psx ^^

Still,if you had completed the game,you would know the Black Knight's armour is blessed. You also see the person playing select Ragnell before engaging him.

I fought the Black Knight and he did Luna on Ike twice in a row and IT WAS QUITE FRUSTRATING BECAUSE I LOST TO HIM ON THAT CHAPTER TWICE ALREADY! But it was still a cool fight.

Find them in Chests or on some people./ There is one in a chest on the pirate ship where you protect the space from the ravens and Daein and another is on Taoruneo when you recruit him. Thats all I can think of.

for this fight i use to give ike vantage adept and miraacle suprisingly i always won against the black knight but now i jus use aether

you can beet him with just 1 Aether but Mist has to be high enough lvl and promoted of course to be able to take out all the enimies that come out. if mist has high enough magic then a Physic staff the Magic sword (w/e its called) and she can keep Ike healed when nesisary and take out all the guys that come out so they wont have time to heal the BK

actually you need two aethers cuz my ike had all max stats except for magic and resistance fighting the black knight (ikes level 20) and i got unbelieveably lucky getting an aether on my first attack and second, killing him.

yeah that happened to me with volke and sothe... kinda. I thought volke would never get better than lvl. 20 so i gave the bexp to sothe and volke upgraded classes and i thought crap sothe sucks compared to volke now.
