  • good job.You can use that to power the lights in your house. That's the way of saving energy! Nice work

  • can you give me some more details on this set up please. I have the same exact briefcase...however Im not as savvy as you with these things. what type of charge controller is that? I have a 400 watt inverter I can use. Thasnks

  • no way that huge thing is just 13 watts, it has to be more?

  • can you run aplliences directly of of the charge controller or do you have to use a battery?

  • @metro2002 The voltage isn't constant with Solar so you need the battery and the energy exchange rate isn't equal. here's an example I have to leave my XTG Solar Usb charger in the window about 4 hours. to charge my ENV 3 cellphone for an hour maybe hour and a half max.....!

  • hi good video, i buying a small 4 watt solar briefcase. do i need a inverter to run some 1 watt lights of a car battery and charging it with the panel. thanks

  • you need agm GEL type batteries

They are expensives but PUcka for solar

    100 Amphours for 170 euros

    200 amphours 350 euros

  • i got the same Briefcase Panel it says it got a blocking dioid in it but at night my battery goes flat??? do you have this problem i use to have a charge controller but that was playing up when i disconected the panle and my my curent tester where the panle wire goes in the charge controler it said 2.5v i thourgth y? its ment to stop back charging. regards mark

  • It sounds like your problem is with the battery itself. What battery you using, is at an old car battery? or a new deep cycle battery?

  • i did have an old car battery but now iam using a brand new car battery off of my mates car it was only 1 month old? regards mark

  • Car batteries aren't the right type really for using with Solar. They are not designed to be fully ran down and charged up again, it damages them badly. You need to look at getting a 'deep cycle' battery which are designed for use & recharging a lot. They are more expensive but again they come in many different types so its gona require you to research into it a little. All the best,

  • Yea I got one and found it does not have the blocking diode in it. It feeds the blue led on it from the bat. Put a charge controller on it. Or local radio shack blocking diodes on it
