The goal here is not to create replicas, but to interpret the technique into a new style. The eye looks wonderful, I was really amazed by the realism and smooth values. It takes on the glasslike quality of an actual eye.

Exactly what happens to me, either that or they are completely lopsided because I always tilt my paper. Its always that feeling of "oh ya this is a keeper" and then you turn it right side up. :D

In the middle from top to bottom of your first eye sketch a faint straight line across so you can line up and proportion the next eye.

@Frasimation do you start with the first eye, and then finish with the other eye? if you do.. try to draw the first line on the eye nr 1 and then eye nr 2. and then line nr 2, you do the same.. thats how i make them the same size..

Drawing what you see isn't always so cut and dry. I myself as an artist enjoy taking in all the methods different people use as well as observe their styles in which they portray different things. It's not so much "learning to draw" as much as it is learning to perceive and understand what you see. There are also methods in layering and texturing that people find help emphasize things in their art and people find them helpful for their own pieces.
