  • Hi,

I've just started converting to 3D using Xilisoft Ultimate7. Now what I have noticed with this software, is that my SBS playback on my 3DTV is lagging, and the dubbing is now out.

The lagging I experience for example, is like the Right Frame is slower than the Left Frame. This is more prominent on an angle or camera change. I take it, from what you mentioned in your clip, the depthmap will stop this from happening?

  • @PhuxAche1972 Yes - a lot of tools out there just use a delayed frame as the right eye. This can be very effective if things are moving horizontally(the fast 2D->3D mode in 3DCombine does something similar) but can introduce eye strain and the funny effects you mention. A proper 2D->3D conversion will generate a new right frame for each left frame that will be perfectly in sync.

  • @RScullion

Great thanks. I'd hoped the Xilisoft Auto Conversion would be perfect, but as always, auto mode usually does a half job lol. I didn't expect it to go as smooth...

  • please tell me how to create the depthmaps....

  • @lordofwarlotr Hi, have a look at my other tutorials. There are instructions there.

  • i get 3dcombine exe stoped working -.-"

  • when i try to do it, it'll say "C:\Documents.bmp Not Found"

anyway to fix this? (and yes, i did make a depthmap)

  • @PRIMEMAN3457 Have you tried using paths without a space in them, e.g. c:\files ?

  • @RScullion okay. now it says it "saved" a picture bmp file of the first video frame. I then dragged the depthmap i made to the right view, but the time still says ETA.

  • @PRIMEMAN3457 You replace the original depthmap.bmp and then click OK.

  • can´t get this program to open any video format at all, not avi, not xvid, not mpeg, there is no help or forum to look at, and the email adress link is dead...

any light at the end of the tunnel?

  • @bastienfrancois It can only open videos that you have codecs installed for on your machine. Have you followed the tutorial on preparing videos for use in 3dcombine and other directshow applications?

  • @kcorporation2009: Avidemux is freeware, and can be downloaded from any number of sites (just beware of those which attach spyware!). 3DCombine (you can Google it) is available by the originator on a trial basis, so you can experiment before you buy.

  • I am converting one of my own Youtube videos to 3D by the auto mode for this program. This is a test, with nearly 3 hrs of processing left, so I plan to halt it in a few minutes after about 10% conversion.

I'm doing this because I want to see the anaglyph results. I am also stopping it because 3DCombine is not converting the audio.I went back to creating the input as non stereo mp3. On 3DCombine I am using the windows video player format for video codec and an audio codec of mp3. No go.

  • @Bobchai I've got a tutorial up called 'preparing videos for use in 3DCombine and other directshow enabled applications'. That should fix your problems. If not, let me know.

  • does it work on ur pc

  • i'm using avi with an Xvid codec and it has 76 hours to go. It's a big file, so i'll have to have it running all night

  • @cheeswisz

how the hell do you get that program to even open any file?? I installed the xvid codecs, and even then It wont any video formats whatsoever... and no way to find any info on this.

  • @bastienfrancois you can check out this awesome tutorial video. copy and paste "0ycGhgSaxbo" into the search bar. you should see a video that would fix your issues
