  • mademoiselle vous e^tes fantastique et superbe :quel talent !!!

  • Wow, I didn't think you would be this good. I'm very impressed. How did you get the bending note sound without cupping one hand over the back of the harp?

  • Very good Kaleena - Thanks for sharing with us. Don't give up your dream.

  • amazing

  • MARRY ME!

  • You are great player on harmonica. How could happen that i didn,t seen you earlier, probably i was too much on the roads .I wish you Merry christmas.

  • I think Johnny Cash would be honored listening to you. R.I.P. Johnny Cash

Thank you kaleenakristin for bringing back the memory

  • I've never heard this song played like this, but wow. Fantastic!

  • Very good Kaleena! I wish I was that good at 16! One hint that you might try. On the pre-chorus, where you go to two harps, I noticed you go from F blow to Bb blow to F draw and then to F blow. You can also go from Bb draw to Bb blow, change harps and go to F draw and finally F blow. It'll give you 2 draw chords instead of just one. It'll give you more air plus draw chords sound more meaty.

Love your work! Keep on harpin'

  • Fantastic!

  • Ure using an F and a Bb right? Pretty darn good playin' there missy :) Cheers from Copenhagen.

  • @sidvicious90

  • Kaleena, I remember when your "William Tell Overture" video appeared on CBS' "The Early Show." You blew me away back then, and you're still blowing me away now! Keep those videos coming...all the very best to you!

  • very good pretty girl

  • I don't know how you play the fast parts so relaxed. Are you breathing in and out real fast? Kind of like panting? I get all cramped-up when I try that tune! Please tell me where I can get the backing tracks to OBS and William Tel Overture and backing tracts in general. I've played since I was 12 (I'm 60 now) and never got to your ability level. You are super! Any pointers on OBS fast parts would would be deeply appreciated. I keep trying because I love the sound of harps and chromatics.

  • I've been listening to harp players since the early 60's and this girl is cool! Only 16, wow!

  • all i can say is WOW im still in shock that was the best version of orange blossom special ive ever heard on harmonica! truly talented girl awesome awesome awesome! added to favorites:)

  • Nice. F fits all but you have to swap and bend very quickly. Difficult part is the high part (fits all on F), keep breathing...

    Keep going

  • I think some people start already when they are Baby's....they must have fantastic parents

She's just so old as my daughter I never have seen grown up in my stupid very little country

    Ivan Demarez. 1060 Belgium.

  • I did start playing as a baby, but I didn't really learn anything until I was nine years old. My parents are older, and very supportive of my harmonica playing.

  • Awesome

  • cowboy up!

  • Its not fair so much talent in one so young **(and a girl at that)**.

  • woot! nice are you going to music school this year? :P

  • Fine job! Excellent! What keys are the two harps in?

  • The harmonicas are in the keys of F and Bb, but the song keys are C and F. I am cross harping.

  • Superb! That was fun!

  • That is great! Must say you play very well do you know were you can get the harmonica tabs for charlie mccoys orange blossom special? would realy appreciate if someone knows, thanks.

  • I'm sorry, I play by ear mostly. My version of Orange Blossom Special is a lot like Charlie's because I listened to his version over and over until I came up with something.

  • Thanks,I'll just have to work hard at it take

  • Thanks,I'll just have to work hard at it, take care.

  • Great job, Kaleena! I just discovered your YouTube page today. You have turned into a brilliant player! You really got the technique down to play quickly, fluidly, and effortlessly. You sound fantastic and I can't wait until you put out a CD! Looking forward to playing music with you at SPAH!! Again...great work!

  • Thanks! I'm glad you liked it :)

I actually just put out two new CDs. One is called "Stirrin' Up Dust" and it is a folk album, and the other is called "A Joyful Noise" and it is a gospel album. Both feature me on the harmonica as well as vocals. I can't wait for SPAH either! It's right around the corner!

  • I enjoyed your playing. Can you tell me what key harps you use?Pleae post more.

  • WOW! that was awesome! Great job, you're not bad looking either.

  • That's a major understatement. For your entire comment. :D

  • What? That was supposed to be a reply to cjmaybee's comment. Don't know what happened.

  • well done great job ..

  • You have a new fan from france

  • Now that was truly good! Thats a song I've never learned to play but always liked hearing it played on the harmonica. Keep on harpin young lady!

  • briliant

  • Great job! 5/5 Stars. I want to hear you, Charlie McCoy, and Mike Stevens all harp this out with several good fiddlers and a couple banjos. That would be a real awesome bluegrass stage.

  • Kalee, well I'm blown out. I'm 64yrs been trying for ages, and I'm throwing the harp at the wall now. Well done!

  • You fine performance appreciated well. I currently from Korea am being active with the mouth organ performer.

    thank you

  • Wow! That is good harmonica playing!

You perform for an audience well too....not shy.

  • Thanks!

I like performing! I used to get really nervous, but the more I do it, the less nervous I become. I still get nervous sometimes, but I've noticed that I get more nervous performing for people I know or in front of small crowds than I do playing for big crowds of strangers.

  • You Are Truly Talented,And very Beautiful,Keep it up. =)

  • Canon ! BRAVO super

  • Great job! Have you learned to blow octaves, yet? I'm pretty sure Charlie uses a lot of them in his version. If you want to sharpen your skills (which are already very impressive), try the youtube videos from Adam Gussow. Search on Gussow 001 . He's got over 100 lessons on line, and he's good: definitely for the advanced player.

  • Okay, thanks for the advice! I work a little with octaves, but not a lot.

  • It's amazing, incredible. I think you had to work a lot. really great !

  • What keys are you using? F and G?

    Great stuff. Keep it up.

  • I'm using two diatonics in F and B flat, but i'm doing cross harp, so the actual song is in C and F.

  • You are so very good. I wish I had started at your age. however I was so poor I couldn't buy a Harmonica.

I am cross harping in those keys too. May I ask one more question? The train rhythm --I can't follow. Are you drawing once and blowing twice?

  • You draw in and say "Ducka" and when you blow out, you say "Shicka", and the "sh" when you blow sounds like a steam engine.

  • Thank you. I am very appreciative. You will go a long way and may God bless you.

  • Thanks guys!

  • very good job!!!

  • Good job. Enjoyable.

  • This is excellent stuff!!

  • TABS PLEASE!!!!! lol. I cant seem to find any and i wanna do this song so bad.

  • I don't know the tabs, sorry!

I just learned it from listening to Charlie McCoy's version over and over. I added a little of my own, so that it wouldn't be exactly the same. I mostly play by ear, so most of the time I don't use tabs. You could probably find the music for this song somewhere, though.

  • Well if everyone else learns by ear then I guess it just makes sense to go with the crowd, thanks for the help though.

  • Well if everyone else learns by ear then I guess it just makes sense to go with the crowd, thanks for the help though.

  • Great job!!

  • haha, thanks for the umm...advice?

  • Well done.

  • Great Job beautiful I hope to see you again with a new video. To be continue you are a good talent...See you soon

  • Thank you, it's taken me awhile to get this song down, but it's my favorite song to play. I listened to Charlie McCoy's version over and over and then added some of my own things to it.

  • Awesome! Nice to see more girls playing harmonica too, and wow, you can really play this song!

  • at last I've find your videos! that wasn't easy! nice playing!

  • Grate job. Please post more videos.

  • For whatever reason, there aren't that many female harmonica players. You play great and are only 16. Keep up the great work, we'll be waitin' for more. Thanks, EPB

  • Wow. That was great. Great to hear a young

person play like that and have an interest

in the harmonica. Hope to hear lots more. Bye for now. Dave
