I don't think a that a Macbook + cintiq is equal to a modbook. With a cintiq you have a lot of extra stuff. You have a cable from the cintiq to a bot that splits to power, USB and video. This is a lot of over head for a mobile solution, and you are tethered to a powerplug all the time. The Modbook does offer a truly mobile graphic solution. That would be the selling point.
This is no different (other than OS) than a slate tablet PC. I have the modbook and love it.
I installed Vista and use bootcamp to run Vista when I need real handwriting recognition (OS X is terrible - come on Apple...catch on to Vista regarding this feature).
Oh, you can carry the cricket portable stand if you want to carry the modbook around and use it like a normal computer with wireless keyboard.
