I work in a Race team that raced a car just like this one, Audi A4 Quattro STW -97. It was the most amazing car I've ever seen. We blew the competition away. Winning over 500bhp Porsches and GT2 cars and old DTM cars. It was amazing. Now I am working within the STCC and the new regulations. And it really isn't the same :(

Amazing to hear that the pole time was a 2:16, a full 10 seconds off the circuit record. Shows how much technology has come along.

even more amazing now that a v8 supercar isn't nearly as fast through the corners because of the extra weight and wheelbase, but it makes up that extra 10sec through all the extra power. AND pushes 300 kays down conrod.

Jesus I remember this! '97? One of the best moments in motorsport! I miss the 2 Litre touring catagory. Imagine now, The new A4's, 3 series, c class's, S60's and 159's of the world today. Shame..
