I have hazel eyes! and I needed some new eyeshadow ideas! But where can you get the pallete? I tried to look for it on the website but it wont let me go to it...
they cost the same and you actually get a bit more product in the too faced one, mainly cuz you are able to squeeze it all out. you would be surprised how much primer is left in the UDPP when people think its actually empty because the wand does not get all of the product out.
I don't know what color eyes i have, they change randomly sometimes they are gold, dark green, clear green, dark brown, or light brown-yellow. I only wear mascara not much else. how can i bring out the green and keep it there?
i know im not the makeup artist, but, i have the same prob with my eyes!
haha, since i have hazel eyes i wear green when i want them to look green, and brown when i want them to look brown.
for the green, u dont need to wear a bright color, u could wear something more earthy like a moss green, or tree-ish color green... haha, but yeah again..im NOT the expert!
And peoples eyes change with what they wear. i have hazel eyes nobody can tell if there is more brown or green. but when i wear a green shirt it makes my eyes look bright green. just like wookywooky91
What happens when you have two differnt eye colors? my left is hazel and my right is a blue and brown kind of color. Its very rare so im not positive what to do....: /
lucky you! i bet you can then trade off doing both kinds of make up. one day do it for blue/brown and the next the hazel. that's so unique in a lovely way.
maybe you could mix the colors of eye shadows or put one one top of the other for colors that go good with hazel and blue. so it is even on both sides but still looks good. : ) just an idea. i'm not so sure about it though. haha! popped up into my head and thought i would try it.

Great tutorial :-D small comment, though: most overlooked eyecolor is definitely grey in my opinion. I have dark grey eyes (they are not "misunderstood blue" or green, they are grey as can be) and I never find any sort of hint as to what makes them pop, besides "purple/brown is always good".

grays and dark blues (NOT light blues) look ah-mazing on my hazel eyes, i'm sure they'll look stunning on you(you can even use blue or gray eyeliner too)
actually..(i have hazel eyes) and EVERY makeup artist i have EVER seen says people with hazel eyes should saty AWAY from ALL blues and grays..they tell me the color clashes with the golds and browns and dulls your natural eye color..stick with browns...pinks..golds..bronze...and dark green and any purple so yea.....

yeah, me too. and also golds for some reason. I use almay's golden simmer thinger.. cant really remember what it's exactly called but it's in a little plastic silver square thing that has a mirror. LOVE that it has a mirror! lol! Oh, and they say that black liner is best for hazel eyes.. but i think it looks to harsh and brings the look of dark circles so i keep to dark brown. I totally talk a lot!! lol

Wow - very nice! I made a documentary about what it is like to be a beautiful woman in everyday life and interviewed a professional makeup artist. She explained what she was thinking during a makeover and she seemed to have so much technical knowledge about color etc. Makeup is really quite an art, and you are quite the artist!
Did the colour last using that palette? My mother and I each bought one when they went on sale here, and hated it. The color faded away within an hour, even the darker shades. I thought it might be our skin tone, so I gave it to a friend with a darker complexion but it didn't work for her either. Just a warning for anyone planning on buying this, I know the product is expensive. I was disappointed because the colours are so nice. :(
I had used the Elizabeth Arden eye primer and it didn't work at all! But I tried it again with the Mary Kay eye primer and it worked really well. :) Thanks for mentioning that it could have been a problem with the base or I probably would've never tried again!

I agree - why does it make a difference? A lot of people leave such negative comments when a Guru mentions receiving something complimentary from a cosmetics/beauty company. Why on earth should we subject ourselves to that?
1. when most companies sign talent,they send out press releases. everybody knows "joe" is a spokesperson for company x. with you guys, the line is less clear b/c you aren't on actual payroll but to a company it's expected that you'll only say good things about their products if they r sending you freebies
2. there's a difference between "i will spend my hard earned money on this" and "this is okay, i wouldn't buy, but i'll use it sense it's free."
Whether or not someone receives something free is still irrelevant, but ONLY if that person has proved to be unbiased. I can truly only speak for myself, but I have posted numerous reviews on products that I've paid for that covered both the positive AND negative aspects, and I do the same for complimentary products.
I understand your theory, but I disagree. Using something because it's free is much different than preaching it's good qualities when there are none.
well hopefully someone got all of that. in anycase the beginning of one of the posts explained how much i like your videos. i really don't mean to attack you. sorry if it came across that way.
not jumping on you but i was going to say what leesha said but she beat me to it.
no matter if it was free or not, shes giving an honest review. shes reviewed products she didn't like before but still gave valid info about the product just in case someone else wanted to check it out, even if she didnt like it.
either way its a win/win situation for everyone. you get to hear REAL yays and nays about products coming right out of her mouth, and not just reading text on "how amazing" something is.
can you also do a look for people with grey-blue eyes like very boring eyecolor that doesnt do anything for the face look.. i never see videos with looks on GREY-blue eyes

I can never put eye liner on my lower lash line cause even my bottom lashes are really long and thick, so its hard. :[
I use UDPP (Urban Decay Primer Potion). it works just as well as two faced shadow insurance and costs way less!

haha, since i have hazel eyes i wear green when i want them to look green, and brown when i want them to look brown.
for the green, u dont need to wear a bright color, u could wear something more earthy like a moss green, or tree-ish color green... haha, but yeah again..im NOT the expert!

Wow - very nice! I made a documentary about what it is like to be a beautiful woman in everyday life and interviewed a professional makeup artist. She explained what she was thinking during a makeover and she seemed to have so much technical knowledge about color etc. Makeup is really quite an art, and you are quite the artist!

Did the colour last using that palette? My mother and I each bought one when they went on sale here, and hated it. The color faded away within an hour, even the darker shades. I thought it might be our skin tone, so I gave it to a friend with a darker complexion but it didn't work for her either. Just a warning for anyone planning on buying this, I know the product is expensive. I was disappointed because the colours are so nice. :(

did you use an eyeshadow base? i had no problems with it lasting all day, but i used too faced shadow insurance as a base :)

I had used the Elizabeth Arden eye primer and it didn't work at all! But I tried it again with the Mary Kay eye primer and it worked really well. :) Thanks for mentioning that it could have been a problem with the base or I probably would've never tried again!

someone started a rumor that my sister and i made a channel making fun of kaikhaod, and i have had to explain over and over that we didnt. its hard when someone is constantly accusing you of doing something horrible that you never did, and having people still not believe you

oh man, I totally saw those comments and wondered if you were a horrible person for about 10 min a while ago... but then got over it because clearly you're not... you're like the last person who would do something like that... you encourage beginners to post pics for CC and have expressed unhappiness that people are timid about posting for fear of ending up on badmakeup... so why would you waste time making fun of someone posting to learn on youtube? you wouldn't.

sheer is kind of shimmery (a little bit of sparkle) and matte is a solid color.
and not a dumb question i didnt know the what it ment either for the longest i just knew i didnt like the sparkle.

I like this look on you! Very pretty. Have you ever used the buxom lips by bare escentuals? The first time I wore it in the winter I thought my lips were going to fall of because it hurt so bad. Stupid plumper glosses.

Thanks SO much Leesha. Hazel eyes are such a hard thing to suit... I mean, I know how to bring mine out :-p but still, word needs to get out.
I'll actually be doing tutorials as soon as I can get a new camera. I'm going to try and center on stuff for guys that looks natural and not over the top... although over the top is probably going to fit in there somewhere!

i understand that the deal is that you likely just won't mention something you get for free if you don't like it...but it'd still be good to know the difference.

I agree - why does it make a difference? A lot of people leave such negative comments when a Guru mentions receiving something complimentary from a cosmetics/beauty company. Why on earth should we subject ourselves to that?

so my answer is way too long. other 2 reasons:
1. when most companies sign talent,they send out press releases. everybody knows "joe" is a spokesperson for company x. with you guys, the line is less clear b/c you aren't on actual payroll but to a company it's expected that you'll only say good things about their products if they r sending you freebies
2. there's a difference between "i will spend my hard earned money on this" and "this is okay, i wouldn't buy, but i'll use it sense it's free."

Whether or not someone receives something free is still irrelevant, but ONLY if that person has proved to be unbiased. I can truly only speak for myself, but I have posted numerous reviews on products that I've paid for that covered both the positive AND negative aspects, and I do the same for complimentary products.
I understand your theory, but I disagree. Using something because it's free is much different than preaching it's good qualities when there are none.

not jumping on you but i was going to say what leesha said but she beat me to it.
no matter if it was free or not, shes giving an honest review. shes reviewed products she didn't like before but still gave valid info about the product just in case someone else wanted to check it out, even if she didnt like it.
either way its a win/win situation for everyone. you get to hear REAL yays and nays about products coming right out of her mouth, and not just reading text on "how amazing" something is.

can you also do a look for people with grey-blue eyes like very boring eyecolor that doesnt do anything for the face look.. i never see videos with looks on GREY-blue eyes
