Nice little details here, like the profile view, the desk mat with lift-once-in-a-row corners and Crodfo- Rube. Well, he's more 'Rude' rather than Rube
Haha, she gets run over and nobody even seems to notice or care, not even the driver of the car.
Also, this is why I enjoy Sierra's adventure games in particular. The death scenes are often quite hilarious (Provided the game's not taking itself seriously...Police Quest...). Not bashing the old LucasArts games, but at least in a game where you can lose, at least the game has a sense of humor about it.
You guys are taking me back to the past. I love your let's plays, hercrabbiness, your voices are awesome, and your friends' too. I think I'll do a LP one day, once I have good recording devices
Wow, you have to enter and exit the notebook interface every time you want to ask something? I'm glad they refined that in Gabriel Knight (and the later QfG games, etc) with a smoother interface.
All this talk of a missing dagger from the museum, but no one noticed a person went missing from the ship? Or is it just not considered relevant to this case yet?
The notebook interface is EXTREMELY annoying the first few times you play the game, but after you get accustomed to it, it's not so bad. I like it a lot now... but then again, I'm kind of weird. :P
As for the missing person, that will become relevant later on in the game. It's one of those things that you'll eventually have to piece together on your own.
since you can't type "kiss person" everytime you meet a new character/everytime someone dies, maybe you'd consider asking everyone about lo fat... haha but i'm guessing you'd probably get the generic "i don't know lo fat" response, especially after act 1.
As for asking people about Lo Fat... some people give you amusing responses, while others say boring things. Same goes for Crodfoller T. Rhubarb, Rameses Najeer, and John Bow. I suppose I'll ask a few people about those characters in the future...
It rhymes, that's what's most important about theme songs =P
Lo Fat, Lo Fat,
Runs the local laundromat
Lo Fat, Hi Fat,
New Jersey's favorite "Chinese" mate!
Lo Faaaaat!
Okay, let's have a contest. We need more staves, so everybody commit something (in the meter hercrabbiness provided the first) and once we got enough I'll see what I can do about recording it with the musicians I have at hand! And yes, I'm serious about it.
Unfortunately, there are only two other ways to die in Act I, and they're pretty much the same. One involves waiting around for ten minutes in a specific location, and as for the other... I just didn't feel like doing it. Sorry.
But once Act III begins, there will be some pretty awesome ways to die, so I'll probably show a few of those. :)
Awesome. There really should be more modern attempts at this genre. I remember thoroughly enjoying Kings Quest 5 and 6. Myst was great too, however, every sequel was increasingly difficult and obscure.
The guy doing the VO isn't bad at all.

7:04- Where is she supposed to go to the bathroom.
9:45- lol at the laugh and the people who don't care that she got run over by a speeding car.

Having come straight from the Laura Bow 1 walkthrough, I much prefer the graphics of the older game :)

This Let's Play is very nice, but I wish someone would do a Playthrough with the CD talkie version ...

Oho! Snap! Rube's gonna be sore when he hears that Ziggy's neck was "broken".

LateBlt has the most awsome laugh at the end. Yes, that is indeed why we play adventure games!

I think I actually played this game when I was little, I remember distinctly getting run over.

Nope, her catchphrase is "Alright!"
So... Carter's pippin' cherries all over the place, eh?
misterzwobot 3 years ago
I have no catch phrase. I need no catch phrase!
I just have speech habits... those are entirely different. Otherwise, you might as well say that my catch phrase is "Ummmm..."
hercrabbiness 3 years ago
Or "that's okay."
TomSFox 3 years ago
Everybody has some habits... I tend to say "yeah..." a lot, but only when I'm using your wacky language... funny, eh?
misterzwobot 3 years ago
Yeah. ;)
hercrabbiness 3 years ago
It's not my language! I'm German, too!

Ah, is that so? Where do you live then? =P

Germany, duh!

I don't know, I think the time I spent down there was enough to make me feel uncomfortable thinking of it.

I, um... don't really like holding contests. Don't ask why; I just don't like it. But if you want to do it, feel free! :D

"I'm gonna save it right here... and... then I think I'll get run over 'AHHH!' *SPLAT*"
I'm certainly hoping that each video shall end with a various way to die if possible =D
