  • beef momos are the best...

  • Hey, i cook the meat before i wrap it, is that ok?

  • best ever.....<3 thats sooo yummy...

  • Don't care where Momos came from, Nepal has the best Momos in the whole world!!

It's what counts who makes the best not where it first started from!

Same as, Apple didn't create the first MP3 Player but makes the best one!!!

  • MoMo khana man laagyo!!!!! Yummmmmmmm....

  • look so easy to make lol i want some now....

  • how they fucking use beef . they should leave our country/ fuck we have giving them place to live, and they fucking eating beef .and i think evevryone use beef in restaurant as well . plz all indian hindu dont eat them restaurant, fucking

  • @diliprai Yo motherfucker, You are saying we chhetris/bahuns are discriminating kiratis and that's how you show it by saying we are piece of shit. You know how much Nepalese people you are offending with that comment? Indian drinking urine or they eating shit has nothing to do with you, so mind your own fucking business asshole.

  • @bogati143 read again. the caste system is a piece of shit. this system along with dowry system, sati system came from india. all these system is not nepalis but indian origin. GOT IT. even eating with hands is indian culture. GOT THAT.

  • @diliprai Doesn't matter where culture was originated. There is no law saying that you have to follow all the cultures. If you like the cultures, follow it. If you don't like it, then just STFU and don't follow it. India and Nepal had a strong bondage throughout the history no matter how badly it affected us. If all the kirati people like you start rebelling for kiratdesh and stuff like that, then the government of Nepal will be forced to hand in Nepal to India and become a part of it.

  • @bogati143 this dilip rai is a big loser...just a frustrated person who is joinij=ng the bandwagon called bash India...makes him very likeable to the christians, muslims & the cheenis...looks like he's one of the paid fake "scholar" imposter...

  • @aparaajita10 yes in nepal the indigenous nepalese are fighting hindu government to legalize beef. for past 200+ years the hindus government have discriminated nepalese who used to eat beef before the hindus arrived from india. it's matter of time before beef momo is sold in nepal.

  • @mcleodganj um...these people live in the US so i don't see why them eating beef is causing you so much grief.

  • @mcleodganj stupid smelly ass.they are in usa.do you know number of indians living outside india?.

  • Waao u father is awesome . I love u dad

  • folding is so fucking hard

  • Very nice!! Simple recipe and great tasting!!

    You folded the momos perfectly.

  • I haven't seen a more cluttered kitchen :)

  • Playing sudoku with a Malcolm X Speaks book on the table, while waiting to eat some momos... Can I come over? *_*

  • my frens mom is tibetian and she makes the best momos everrr hmmmmmm.....

    sadly my mom cant X(

  • that brings many childhood memories back :) thank you for the video ^^

  • hahah i love ur family

  • love the father-son team cooking and filming!!

  • Wonder what the dry steam is like. Tibetans introduced momos to Darjeeling. Darjeeling folks then introduced it to Nepal. Now the momo craze is here, there and everywhere.

  • The national cow makes excellent momo. That must be the reason it is called Holy Cow.

  • @jogi1957 History is made in Nepal. Nepalnews reported that "Indigenous rights activist briefly ‘held’ for protesting against arrest of persons charged of cow slaughter"

According to Nepalnews, those who have been arrested on charges of cow slaughter are Chandra Budhathoki of Sindhuli, Dawa Moktan of Ramechap, Raj Kumar Lama of Dharan and Indra Tamang of Nuwakot. Nepalnews, Sun, 26/06/11

it's matter of time we can have beef momo pasal in Nepal.

This is the dawn of New Nepal.

  • @diliprai So your not allowed to eat beef in Nepal ? I live in the United States in Virginia and we love Beef...Lol....Good Luck to you...:)

  • @MyTbradley yes nepal hindu govt. is racist. they ban slaughtering of cows although native nepalese do eat beef. the hindus migrated from india and overthrew kirat dynasty in 330 A.D. From then onwards hindu culture and religion have been dominant in nepal. the hindu leaders also discriminated and suppressed native nepalese. but today native nepalese are fighting back for rights. it's matter of time before beef is legalize in nepal.

  • I LOVE this video! it reminds me so much of home. Well I'm actually Filipino, but my folks are just like this. Thanks for the awesome Momo-tutorial, I can't wait to make this

  • Who cares for the brahmins or chettris or hindus don't eat beef. However, Cow is a national animal of Nepal for whatever reason so lets keep it that way. Buffalo is there to help maintain it. And i am here in northern california where we get water buffalo like in Nepal and guess what?? its hella expensive, but i tried both beef and buffallo steaks.... man.... and u beef eaters or lovers, u dont know what you're missing.

  • This was my favorite Tibetan dish while staying in McLeod Ganj in Dharamshala, I was instantly addicted, lamb was actually my favorite. amazing how juicy they are inside. Thanks for sharing your recipe, you are a legend!

  • "9th cup of tea" -- your dad is so cute ! :)

  • one question: how do you make momos not stick to the steamer as it happens a lot when I cook them?

  • @ktmbua - apply a thin coat of oil (Olive works best for me) to the bottom of the momos or to the steamer with a brush or you can get PAM aerosol cans with Olive oil that you can spray on the steamer. This helps reduce the stickiness.

  • its my favourite food but i absolutely hate making it :)

  • @ktmbua, it's matter of time before we will have beef momo pasal in ktm, dharan and pokara.

plus we need to make beef available in the market in nepal. this way it also help tourist for more food option.

  • @diliprai as much as i love mo mo, i don't think so buddy. Eating beef while we're out here in UK or any other foreign countries is one thing but we shouldn't encourage beef in Nepal that would cause slaughtering of our beloved, respected and holy creatures "cows". Nepal is cow's heaven and i would rather not eat beef mo mo than change that.

  • @ktmbua, that because of Indianization.

Indianization is the process where group of people tried to bring another group to conform to Indian culture. In short Indianization is the process to bring people, region under control of India culturally or politically or both. Nepalese are led to believe that Indian culture are ours. Nepali media and school is the sole culprit where it always promote Indian culture instead of Nepali culture and value. We must open our eyes. Nepali need to eat beef.

  • @diliprai look mate I don't really like the way india try to take advantage of us but you can't just simply blame them like that. Respect for cow in Nepalese is stronger than india's. Remember Nepal is the ONLY hindu kingdom in the world, not india. Buddhism suggests to never take life no matter how big or small the creature or person is. And on top of that Cow is Nepal's National Animal. We should not eat beef in Nepal even if indians start to do that.

  • @ktmbua so you can take the life of buffalo, goat, chiken and you are not willing to kill cow. isn't that discrimination? and who told you that nepal is still a hindu kingdom? don't you know that millions of people were made dalits(slaves) and indigenous nepalese were discriminated in running of nepal when nepal was a hindu kingdom. and who could even forget all the fabricated stories made up by brahmins such as nepal king was avatar of vishnu......lmao. SO NEPAL EAT BEEF.

  • @diliprai i know killing all these animals is not very good but sparing one species is better than sparing none and you are trying to make it worse. And stop hating on Brahmins as well. Brahmins are still our brothers and sisters, they might not have done the best thing and discriminated against us in the past but this is 21st century. We Mongols can't just sob and whine about it, learn to forgive. Don't be racist against Brahmins, you are clearly overlooking good things Brahmins. And NO Beef

  • @ktmbua ok we do this. we have also muslims in nepal. we also have christians in nepal. moreover we have sherpas, tibetan in nepal. if i am not wrong rai and limbu also eat beef. and so are gurung and magar and yolmo. so we need to start killing cow in nepal. if not this is discrimination against these group of people. if brahmins and chettris do not want to eat beef, then that 's their problem. go malaysia, it''s a Muslim country yet there are pork meat in the market for non-muslim.

  • momo iz ma favourite.....

  • I really like the this man! He is fun and funny. I have a couple of questions: Are the main difference between pot stickers and momos is that one is fried and other steamed?

I do not have a steamer like that, Could I use a regular vegetable steamer? Around how long do they go in the steamer?...ok, enough questions. I love Nepal. I can't wait to go back!

  • my guess is that you need a steamer like that..but of you have and empty pot, put 2 aluminum sheets over it (tightly, squeeze the corners along the edges), poke decent sized holes all over it (don't let the momo fall through! lol and put a lid over the momos and steam it for 10-15 minutes. there you go! NEPALI PRIDE!!!! (^o^)

  • We had a tiny Tibetan shack in South Calcutta, which served the most heavenly pork momos with the great red chilli paste/sauce. As a Hindu, I was told not to eat pork, but they were too delicious too pass up. Hee hee.
