  • i bought a 1970 impala 4 door, 350, th400 with the protect o plate, owners manual, registration cards from 1970 up that shows im the 3rd owner and it runs with absolutely no problems....imo good buy.

  • You couldn't get the 454 in the cadillac for that generation. Also, the reason for low hp is due to the change in HP rating. When they changed the rating the powered stayed the same, eg. the Cadillac 500 in 76 makes around 160hp but a couple years earlier it's much higher. This is due mainly to the change in the way hp was rated

  • I'm sure they picked their best car.

  • hahahahahahahahahahahaha! he's hella funny

  • hahahahaha! "like its pre pimpin" lmao!

  • My dream car since the early 90s to this day.

It's as if I'm getting a massage by just looking at it - limp as a noodle.

    OVER 5.5 metres in length!!!!

  • this car would have had a 500 or a 472 cadillac v8

  • i got a 1971 oldsmobile 98 ls with a 455 for 500 bucks and it is pretty nice for a northern car

  • you can not get a "good car for cheap" now because of ""cash for clunkers""

  • @TheToTooTwo Not entirely true. I spent 2K on my ford taurus and to cut a long story short, it now has 206,000 miles on tap 43 mpg on the highway and has never been to a repair shop. Still till this day runs really good as if i just bought it, defentally the best car i have ever owned and probably will ever own. Its not good looking or fast but gets me to where i need to go.

  • id probably buy that cadi

  • Wheelbase 126.3 in (3,210 mm)

    Length 224 in (5,700 mm) (1977–78)

    224.1 in (5,690 mm) (1974–76)

    223 in (5,700 mm) (1971–73)

    Width 79.8 in (2,030 mm)

    Height 54.2 in (1,380 mm)

  • im buying a 94 chevy blazer for 500 bucks has new battery new driver side window motor new fuel pump the tires are 75 percent 200 each tire and a new spare new transmission just put in 10,000 miles ago the interior is great and the body has 2 rust spots which i fixed and the engine is a 4.3liter vortec with 122,xxx miles on it. runs great and doesnt shake at all while it idles. the truck also has 4x4 which works great and i get 15mpg in city and 17 on highway.

  • And bushings frame bushings and tie rods, idler arms tires break lines dont look at beauty alwase look O-0 under the beaters. you do find very nice cars

  • i got a 1970 el camino.im installing hydarlics,

  • My 2000 Intrepid was 150 bucks, needed a new muffler, brake lines and sway bar links. Runs great, gets 38 mpg on the highway. You can always find great deals if you look.

  • i got an 89 accord lx for a grand........that car kicked ass!!

  • 1971-1974 eldorado's were available with a 500 c.i.d. motor only, not a 454. that is a chevy motor. Cool car, i have a 74 convertible.

  • The guy got one very important fact wrong. The engine is 500 cubic inches, not 454. The only way it would be a 454 is if someone yanked the Caddy motor out and put a Chevy big block in.

Anyways, this past summer I scored a complete, running '72 Olds Delta 88 convertible with the 455 Rocket motor for $1600 from an elderly gentleman in Gardena, Ca. It badly needs a top and could use a new paint job, but its otherwise straight and sound.

  • How much 1 grand are? $1000?

  • 8 miles per gallon

  • I love this car

  • elderado is 223 in,

    suburban is 222 in

  • damn that site has a couple of early 90s mercs for a grand! o_O

  • man this car is a classy ride and it will definitely only go up in value, plus back then many engines were grossly underrated as far as power was concerned, of course it needs work done to it but its worth it. these engines got massive potential, with literally not that much money you can up power outputs considerably and these block are the real deal, reliable as anything !

  • Years ago I needed wheels (just totaled my Camaro). Gas station near where I worked had a '69 Chevy pickup behind the building. 283 3-speed. My manager knew the guy, said he'd talk him into a deal.

The truck smoked (natch), it went through more oil than gas, but it started every time I turned the key and it had a good clutch in it.

    50.

    BUCKS.

I put some gaskets in it, drove it for almost two years and sold it for $150. I probably spent more than that in oil for it, lol.

  • needs work.. but I'd buy it and fix it up.

  • Im lookin for a 3rd gen Camaro to fix up and drive. Mostly finding cars for approx. $3,000. Just found one on this site for $650

  • i got a repainted 1994 acura integra gsr for $2000. came with new tires, full skunk2 coilovers, high performance clutch, and 175,000 miles.

  • got a running integra gsr for 900 bucks interior needs minor work thats it

  • If you died right now are you 100% sure you'd go to heaven?

  • <-- drive an 88 fourth gen civic that i paid 200 bucks for (originally, now has mods). Not a thing wrong with it (other than a few dents. My other car is a 93 Cadillac Deville that i paid 900 for. The Deville had REALLY bad paint, and no A/C, but other than that was perfect! Even the leather was in good shape.

  • theese things are front wheel drive!? :O nuh way!!!!

  • were do they get there paint job and the interior for 2 grand

  • theres a maserati at 5:07

  • lol....is the alignment off?

  • why do you say it can´t have a 454? maybe it has not the original engine

  • Comment removed

  • What the hell does that guy mean "454"? I swear there are so many idiots in the car world. SMH

  • @IRONBULL777 454 cubic inches!? i think he means displacment :|

  • Cadilac Was sold with a 500 ci V8,

    Never with a 454. Guy is Car-tarded.

  • @FireDropTechnologies

Absolutely correct, sir. For having a web site researching cheap cars I would think they need to learn more about the history of these older vehicles.

Caddies did only have 500 and 425ci motors. I used to have a '76 Olds Toronoado and a '78 Caddy Fleetwood Brougham. Absolutely beautiful cars.

  • HECK! I would love to have to have that thing! TINY CARS SUCK!!!

  • 472 or a 500cid in the caddy...they never put 454's in any of them...that would be a chevy motor

  • 1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R for $200.

  • paint it pearl black make a few brake adjustment and put a skull on the shifter and its my dream car

  • there's a reason they dont make them like that anymore lol

  • t.j. is dangerous

  • il give you 2 gs for that cadilllac , just to prove they are full of shit

  • Every car i have ever owned as been under a grand. I bought an 88 eagle premier for $500 sold it for $300 after four years. A 1966 plymouth sports fury for $300 that i restored and i still own and my latest find a 1997 honda civic hatchback for $700 which i use as a daily driver

  • A GRAND? you people must be rich! I neverpay more then $500 for a beater...still driving a 1999 Neon I got for $300 2 yrs ago

  • @beachbummm69 right, but this eldorado for $1000 is more than 3 times cooler than your $300 Neon, so you get what you pay for.

  • Also You can buy brand New Roketa and Johnny Pag Motorcycles for under 4 grand like all Motorcycle they require maintenance so make sure You can get parts for It. They do Not have enough power for highway passing speed but for town and Country roads they are excellent.

  • @ortafunk johnny pag motorcycles are shit, you couldn't pay me enough to ride one of those things on a public road.

  • Illuminati monster truck, demolition, scrap Industry have known about cheap Cars and where to get them or years. Until the late 90's I was stupid enough to sell them My old cars the last one they snatch was a 1974 Chevy Nova I also lost a 1964 Fairlane They used It for restoring so don't count. Also lost 1977 LTD Landau and a 1971 Marquis, 1976 Cougar. Destroying old Cars Is the Illuminati way of saying Fuck You! ether Your going to be A Slave to high Car prices or make You walk.

  • @ortafunk: Well..............I'm not a big fan of the 'Illuminati' conspiracy theories, but yeah, I can't help but think there is some sinister force out there that may play a part in destroying all these older cars............I mean, a good chunk of these older cars were made in an era where rock 'n roll{or disco ;-)} was king, and people of all colors were coming together to have fun, and to rebel against 'The Man'.

  • @ortafunk: Seriously, it can make you wonder if there may be a bigger agenda behind all this. Peace out ;-).

  • These guys are fucking retarded. Oh its a 454. No you dipshit its probably a 472. & Its not FWD either. Dam morons. You can see the rear axle & diff when they show the back of the car. Definately trust the guys who know NOTHING about the car they drive.

  • @Randarial dude, the 1973 Cadillac Eldorado has an E body chassis which makes it FRONT wheel drive, and the engine is 500 CID which was produced between 1971-1976

  • @Randarial It's not a 454, but it is definitely FWD. All 1971-1976 Eldorados came with the 500 and are front wheel drive.

  • @TheSmokingTire Fuck me i opened my mouth to soon. Haha. My mistake i always thought the only eldo's that were FWD were the big ugly ones that resembled toronado's

  • @TheSmokingTire yep... its the car he had in fear and loathing

  • @TheSmokingTire

500 cubes. Hell with motivating a car, you could power a small city with that!

  • not a 454 cid (chevrolet engine) probably a 500 cid (Cadillac engine)

  • This website is a bunch of Horse stool!!! It's just linked to ebaymotors and you bid...

  • I got my first car a 97 ford escort for 300 bucks. Everything worked even the ac.

  • cars i know of 1969 barracuda fastback 318 for $300 in 84 my moms 1969 olds cutlass s 2 door for $850 last nov 1970 roadrunner 383 for 1200 cash wish i got i offered 3000 but he didnt want to sell to kid original owner 1999 mustang gt for 5900

  • Ahh its got holes D:

  • How about showing the fucking car next time.

  • I bought a 1999 5 speed mustang v6 with satalite stereo/dvd/cdplayer and cobra 17x8 rims for $3200..........then someone t-boned me 3 months later........

  • Cadillac never used a "454" The 454 was a Chevrolet motor. In 73 that Caddy came with a 472 or a 500...

  • Heeell yeah, my first 6 cars were all old Cadillacs. You can't get nicer cars for LESS than a Cadillac.

  • i bought a 78 buick riviera for 600 fuckin sweet 307ci needs a lil tune-up set a brakes fuckin 18 bucks im payroll d'in a set of 15x10 inch rims and gonna rum 295/50/15's and gonna run true dual exhaust 4 inch tips no cats lol payday cruiser

  • not 454....

    500,,,all 70s eldorado were 500cid

  • lol he has to turn a bit left, to go straight.

  • got a Peugeot 309gti for 1500nz( so like 700us). big engine, small car, very tight chassis, big boot, comfy side hugging chairs and can outrun most cars in the twisties... What more could you want

  • lol i JUST bought a 1971 mercury marquise yesterday for $800 cash.

there is literally nothing wrong with it! it runs better than my 2009 chevy Malibu! as for gas mileage the factory mpg rating is 18 highway and 16 city, so far after driving it the 350 miles back to dallas where i live. i think those numbers are just about right. in fact it gets a little better than 18 highway from my calculations. and it looks almost new! no cracking dash or fading paint whatsoever!

  • @peanutbutterandjammy i am sooooooo fucking jealous of you ! god damn it!

  • Thats a Cad 500CI right Dizzy is in the Front !!!!!!!!!

  • I bought a 1988 tbird for 800 dollars (from a pawn shop mind you) three years ago come july and the thing still and runs drives fine. looks like shit but i love it

  • my first car was for 300 bucks, 91' toyota tercel, needed a new valve, i did a 600 dollar head and gasket rebuild and drove it for 50,000 miles! not shabby for a gocart car.

  • I bought a 1991 Volvo 740 for a grand last year for my daughter and it runs great.

  • That is not a 454. Come on guys !!!!

  • @dave97202 I loved that car. It was such a piece of crap, but so comfortable, easy to drive, started right up, and would be a great toy for a few laughs. I wouldn't want to rely on something like that for daily transportation, but for cruising around california, you can't do more with less than a car like that.

  • where i can buy a cheap aston martin tvr or jaguar 1900---1989???

  • @Jorjdelaciorescu on the internet.

  • needs an alignment

  • @wenis1990 The alignment appears (from the looks of it) to be fine. Just the steering wheels is off center. It's a simple five min fix for most cars. Alignment pertains to the way a car handles, I.E. if you let go of the steering wheel, and it swerves (pulls) to one side, THEN your alignment is off. The deal with the steering wheel being off center is only cosmetic.

  • btw i just went on that link and i want to start buying cars just so i can drive them into the ground in like a week!

... after all what is $1 for a car... seriously they have a rx7 for a dollar!

  • i bought a 93 lincoln towncar for a grand with only 46000 miles on it and brand new looking inside and out.

  • this is reminiscent of top gear... do a cars for a grand episode!

  • cant wait for the next bullrun! You guys did a wicked job documenting the last one in the raptor!

  • i love how the steering wheel is turned left for the car to go straight

  • I bought a 92 toyota supra turbo for around $950 but it needed alot of work which ive spent about 2 grand on altogether.

  • suburban is 222.4 in (5649 mm) long

Caddy is 223 in (5,700 mm) (1971-73) long

  • I got a '91 Civic DX sedan for 900 a month ago:)

  • anybody else see 2:52 and for a brief moment think that was the caddy doin a burnout? lol

  • @DemonOfRazgriz89 HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!

  • @DemonOfRazgriz89 That was a Ford GT. Even the rim cap says it. >_>

  • i saw one at a flea market for $1400 in better shape :p

  • 454? Unless it has been swapped it has a 500 in it.

  • @Wopadas good catch, it is a 500....

  • You've got 3-4 inches on a suburban (thats what she said)

  • freeways dbag.... they drive like 100

  • @GreenBeanRocker haha not in LA. worst drivers ever on the freeways here, traffic constantly... if you hit 70 you should be happy....

  • @TheSmokingTire funny.. i feel that way about NYC..

  • I got an 86 fiero 4 cyl iron duke for 500 bucks...I mean...it's not fast...but it gets about 25 mpg..it was in good running condition with about 125000 miles on it. It had a few minor issues...but all in all...sweet deal!! Now all i need to do is save up 5000 and get a 3.8 supercharged series II in that bad boy!! I'll shit on 50,000 dollar cars for 1/10th of the price!

  • $1000 for a car.. great.. 8mpg... fucking terrible

  • @ArisingSoul what's worse, the 8mpg or the fact that it's a 500 and it's front wheel drive?

  • i got my 98 Chevy Cavalier for a grand has almost 100,000 miles on it, runs perfectly, clean, reliable, everything works, and its in great shape.

  • operative word here is - PIMPIN'

  • @nls8520 that's all you can think about when you drive that car. The kind of car that's so slow, you can never be in a rush.... that's so shitty and so flashy at the same time... pimpin indeed.

  • 454? fwd? holy shit.

  • @an50331 he actually misspoke, it's a 500ci FWD. haha

  • 1971-1978 Eldorado = 224 inches. 2006 Suburban = 219 inches. HAHAHA, Awesome!

  • @VivaLaBamEpisodes yea.....but 71-78 suburban will probably be longer ;D

  • @VivaLaBamEpisodes

and yet the gas mileage is about the same o.O

  • I live in TJ and I tell you that Yes you can have your car done for less than a grand in almost any shop here specially when you just cross the border and head up to downtown TJ just before La avenida Revolución... Great Video...

  • @mayinss those guys told me you don't even have to cross the border. The mexican body shop guys will walk across and pick up your car from the US side, and then bring it back! Clearly not something you'd do with a valuable car, but for a grand fuck it!

  • wtf his tits

  • @Masamune0191 haha i saw it too =p

  • heeeey.. i spy an SV over behind them.

    that's yours, yes?

  • @tonythephatone yes, and it's for sale if you're interested....

  • I sold a 1976 Pontaic Grand Prix with a 350 for $60.00. I had $300 on the window but nobody ever called. Yes.. it Ran!. Had some kid offer be the 60 so i took it. I wanted it out of my driveway

  • I know it's stupid but can I get a porsche boxster for 8500$?

  • I went to the site, I couldn't find that gt 500 anywhere.. Did someone else buy it already?

  • @daedalx haha, awesome.

  • hey think you guys can show us a 73 grand prix?

  • One of my favorite episodes. I hope I see that pimp ride down here in San Diego

  • Your videos just keep getting better. Lets see you go shopping for a $1,000 car and see what you can find.

I have 1990 Nissan Maxima SE I sold to someone for $1000. It had 160,000 miles but still drove great. That guy got a screamin deal.

  • @hoyaxc I did just do my annual car shopping, unfortunately I bought something considerably more expensive ;)

  • 1973 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible= 5650 mm (222.4 inches)

    2009 Chevrolet Suburban LTZ 1500 4WD=5660 mm (222.8 inches)

Sooo Close, But the LTZ and most LT and LS models are the same lenght but in 1973 the eldorado is bigger. 1973 Chevrolet Suburban = 5480 mm (215.7 inches)

  • the cadillac's length is about 223 inches compared to an early 2000s suburban at about 219 inches. not sure about other year suburbans.

  • I love these cars.

  • hahahahaha , the length of a 1973 eldorado is 227 inches and the suburban is 219.3 inches

  • cool clip. I got a 97 Pontiac Sunfire for $2000 4years ago and its the best value and car I ever bought;0 Gets 30mpg all day too...Screw new cars haha

  • @godawefulll I hear you man! nowadays the PLASTIC bumpers on some newer cars could set you back MORE than a grand, if you ever crack them up!

  • "Maybe it looks bigger because we're sitting on it

-No I'm telling you, it IS bigger"

    LOL

  • am # 1 =^.^=
