Titanic was 269 meters long, 28 meters wide and 21 meters from waterline to boatdeck. The funnels were 24 meters high and the engines are the biggest triple expansion engines thats ever been built. It was gigantic 100 years ago and would have been a very big cruise ship even today. 269 meters is very long.

This scene has a HUGE error - the helmsman on Titanic didn't turn the wheel to the left. When Murdoch orders "HARD A STARBOARD" that's telling the helmsman to turn the wheel to the right(clockwise), NOT to the left (counterclockwise). Turning the wheel to the right moves the rudder tiller to the right, which moves the rudder in the opposite direction (left), turning the ship to port (left). Can't believe Cameron got this wrong!

@MrMytvc15 It was entirely intentional since before the 1930's there weren't any international standards for how to issue orders. On the Titanic just prior to the collision Murdoch did say "Hard to starboard" since they used so called "Tiller orders" where you say the opposite direction of what way to want to steer. It has to do with the construction of the rudder. While it may seem illogical to us in the 21st century, it was pratically standard back then.
