I Have this mixer, when I record audio with it puts the beat thats in my ear phones with the audio track. So when I go to edit and mix it its a pain

I fucking hate my behringer xenyx 1204 mixer unit, the software will not work, i've tried everything, i've spent 4 god damm days trying to get this piece of shite to record and it will not even pick it up, screw you behringer and screw you energy XT 2.5! I have this one with usb but my problem is how do u hook it up to my pc's surround sound.? I put in the usb but my speakers are not even heard throgh the mixer. When i switch the sound sorce to usb speakers nothing plays but u see the lights in the volume but i cant control my suround sound. please help.

I plug my headset into the normal Mbox port . By using the fx #51 that I like the best, Im able to get my voice to sound ok for me. I returned the Mbox MKII because it only would record one track at a time. The thing I wonder about now is the MKII was USB 2.0 and was fast. THe newer purple looking Mbox PRO that I just bought is USB 1.0 will it be more slow? . I bet you as soon as my 30 days is up, they will come out with a new model for Usb 3.0

I run two TRS cables (one marked with white tape on both ends) from the Control Room Out to the front 1 and 2 TRS jacks on front of Mbox. I plug my mic into the XLR connector on the #1 bay on left side of the 1202FX. My Guitar is plugged into the #2 bay. I can now record my voice on one track while playing guitar at the same time on channel 2. If I screw up with either, I can always save one channel and re-do the other.

I am a noob and dont have a clue. I was buying a 1204, but was talked into a M-Audio Fast Track USB instead, saying it had better parts. Is it the software that will allow me to do echo in my voice?

. My computer has a x-fi gamer extreme sound card, So what I want to do is make a video and have about 4 tracks of audio. So I can pick a song and play one part, then another or add drums or whatever. Please give me some advice as to whats better for my needs? Thanks very much

if you want echo reverb in your voice during recording,... i suggest you buy mixers with built in FX...

Hi jsarahina, I bought a 1202FX and so far #51 is my favorite voice setting. Manual says that is Short delay 2 1-2 short impulse's. Using Audacity I am able to record voice on track 1-2 and guitar on 3-4 and Im happy with it !! Thanks for your input

Yes... If it's plugged in your computer via bundled USB Connector, Adobe Audition, Nero WaveEditor, etc can detect it as your input...

@HarlequinBlue There's a girl called Joanna Lauren - Joannalaurensings channel - who just started using a C3 Berhinger mic and a Berhinger mixer....she's a fantastic singer and already sounded awesome with crummy equipment.....but now - ! Pure heaven and as she upgrades.....better & better...! She could sell their equipment - anyways my point was she has about 90 songs posted and almost all but four or so were on old equip....now the new songs and equip make a big improvement!

I just have a fair idea about all this..! Please don't mistake if it is wrong.. As of what I know, the output of the mBox can be given into the CD/tape input, you can connect whatever you want into the mixer channels, and take the whole output through the CD/tape output to the line input of mBox.. This may or may not be right..

nope... this mixer only comes with a two metal rack, power cord, manuals and cd, and one UControl USB Connector which you can plug into the CD/TAPE In and OUT connector in mixer's interface. and plug the USB in your PC

go for a alesis multimix firewire. its like 600$.. and it works good as hell. monitors = go for some KRK stuff, like rokit 5. that gear will last for years. don't buy crap

behringer doesnt make crap. for people who love music and are on a tight budget like me, beringher is awesome. this has usb connectivity so i dont have to dish out 1500 bucks for a fuckin firebox. 600 is alot for alot of people without jobs. krk monitors are awesome though i want to get some when and if i ever get extra cash.

If you can mic all your drums with four mics and are satisfied with two-channel (stereo) output, then, yes, it'll record live drums to anything.

You'd take the two outputs and send them to the *line* inputs on your tascam (or computer, or tape recorder, or whatever) and record them in two channels. It doesn't have to be left/right -- you could, say, put bass, snare and hi-hat on one channel, and the rest of the kit on the other...to give you more flexibility to mix later. Just imagine what it was like when people only had four mono tracks to work with...sometimes you have to get creative with fewer tracks!

hmmm... you can use any recording application in PC... can u see the CD/TAPE in and out at the right top of the interface? use the RCA connectors for stereo output

Maybe... but you would need to join drum mic cables and maybe only use three or four drum mics...

if you used three drum mics you would have one left for bass one for vocals and one for guitar

This board comes with a separate USB interface. It's not integrated. You can route the outputs to the USB interface and have a stereo input to your computer, with a stereo output from the USB.
