I hated Bush, thought he was an idiot, but still resented the overt detrimental remarks, hey, I had that right, too. But, the Dixie Chicks, this song, I love. Watching this video because my son's plane lands in an hour. He serves in the US Navy and is coming home for a week. He will leave in December for his last tour of duty. He gets out next Sept. But it would have made much more of an impact if they would have .... say half way through the song .... have soldiers coming onto the stage that have arrived back home. Now THAT would have been a performance. The fact that they were losing sales of their records is what made them come up with something that might bring them back into good grace with us AMERICANS, us ARMY BRATS, and those of us who value OUR TROOPS and what they are fighting for.
