@FrenchValleyAirport There is no manual clutch, it's a dual clutch paddle shift. The lag is the centrfugal clutch take up. If it didnt do that it would stall everytime you tried to take off gently.

@slednck3 No you're quite wrong about the stall converter remark. A "stall converter" is not like that at all. It will behave normally without the need for excessive revving when using small amounts of throttle. It only "stalls" or "flashes" when you stomp it suddenly from a stop. Auto cars come with them stock and have been for a long time.
