Yeah the Sp is a good machine, when i have made this video , i had the sp404 since 3 days . I have a Mpd too , and the pads are not the same . On the Sp there is no velocity, and the pad push in . The response of the pads is good and yeah you can drum crazy without overloading system if you don't use more of the 12 voices of polyphony.

Nice Beat! I'm thinking about buying an SX for the purpose of what you are doing to it. How are the pads responsiveness compared to an mpc? Can you go "drum crazy" without overloading the system?
