  • This makes me miss my Marquis.

Brb going to cry in corner now.

  • Oh God, I want it... I don't need modern cars. I need a full-size 90's. But, when it come, it will be cost +100% price of car. Toll.

    It's car for life.

  • My dreams car ....

  • I agree $5800 is a bit high since it's not a special edition. Maybe if it were a Cypress.

Also, the plastic surround on the driver's side door handle is broken!

  • the transmission on the 1989-1997 Lincoln Town Car

    Transmission

    4-speed AOD automatic 90-92

    4-speed AOD-E automatic 92-95

    4-speed 4R70W automatic 95-97

  • masina vietii mele

  • 5k is kinda expensive for this

  • The interior seems really modern for 97

  • i just to send it this car to Mexico City !! love it :) gree ting

  • Panther platform cars rule!

  • They cheapened the '97 models... omitting the woodgrain trim on the steering wheel and omitting the light bar on teh back panel and dual exhausts on all but the Cartier for '97.

  • I have a 95 Town Car with nearly 194,000 miles. Still trucking along.

  • It's VERY quiet! I have a 2003 Crown Vic Sport, which is built on the same chassis. My Dad has a '98 Town Car Presidential Series. We both agree that the Crown Vic is quieter, smoother, and handles hands above the Town Car.

However, the Town Car is a Town Car. I'd love to have this Cartier. Great price, too!

  • Grandma car...

  • @punchmaster123 Your mom.

  • that's very offensive 0:16 !

    a Hyundai mark on a Lincoln !

  • Wait it comes with hands free telephone I never knew that and I'm a diehard Town Car fan

  • @MILTONKAPLANIDIS I just bought a 2005 TC Signature Limited. Even has the Navigation/Satellite radio. No hands free telephone, bluetooth streaming or AUX in. I'm thinking that's an aftermarket hand free unit there...

  • @MILTONKAPLANIDIS is it a single or dual overhead cam?

  • @fordf22raptor i think there DOHC

  • Very nice. With the exception of the sunroof, that is identical to mine, (Silver 1997 Lincoln Town Car Cartier). Mine has a few more dings and dents, but sill drives great. These cars have a much more comfortable ride that some new cars, and the gas mileage isn't too bad for such a big car. Sometimes I can average over 26 mpg.

  • Beautiful car, I wouldnt mind buying one, I just sold my 92 lincoln town recently, and I regret selling it, wish i kept it, but now im looking for a newer one like yours. Wonder if you still have this one or not. Please let me know. ok thanks.

  • Very nice T/C Cartier. I have a 2001 Cartier in the same silver frost color, but the interior of the '97 is simply a knockout that my '01 cannot compare with. The two-tone organic looking gray dash, and the design of the seats is a perfect ten.

  • I think that radio DJ was in a Van Halen mood.

  • Ill give you 2k for it.

  • nothing like some Van Halen to show off the sound system!

  • Great looking Town Car. I have a 1996 and also a 2005 Town Car and all I can say is that they are great cars! Super reliable, comfortable and good on gas considering is a V8! Both of mine make 19mpg in the city and about 26 on the highway. I simply love Town Cars!! Too bad Lincoln is not making TCs anymore after 2011.

  • You forgot to sit in ALL the seats

  • If I weren't so uptight about having a center console and air-conditioned seats (the latter because I live in Texas), I'd go with a Town Car rather than the Cadillac STS. They're beautiful, graceful cars. :)

  • I myself drive my dad's 1992 Lincoln Towncar. The seats are tearing, the dash is cracked up from sitting in the sun for most of it's life, the motors in the windows are broken, and the cruise control doesn't work. BUT, it runs like new, it gets me where I need to go and keeps me comfortable while I get there. I love it.

  • Town cars are easy to maintain, and their affordable luxury. Classic automobile.

  • hey guys....unfortunately I am living in germany, the country with the high gas prices and the high taxes for cars with big engines as the lincoln town car is one...

nevertheless I am dreaming to own such a 1997 Lincoln someday...

please could some more people post facts about the gas mileage of their Lincoln (Miles per gallon)?!

    thx...greetings from germany!

  • @Amifreak6 it's about 19 city and 25 highway (MPG). here you have some more information (i know it's the 98, but you know - they're all the same basically) "watch?v=n3ORmFwFmvM"

  • beautiful

  • i wonder what demographic would drive the town car most likely I wouldn't mind riding in one but driving it I'm not really sure

  • My grandma had a town car only it was tan/brown many memories :)

  • 1997....The last REAL towncar.

  • Proud owner of a 1994 town car, signature, badass

  • I just learned something,,, I thought the Executive version was the top leader in the towncar. Very nice.

  • How many dead bodies could I fit in the back trunk?

  • @peanutchopper about 3 or 4. . . wait what?

  • @contractki11er Yeah. I'm needing something big. Was thinking about renting a suburban and taking out the back seats.. I could definitely fit 3 then! LOL!

  • My average MPG is 18.9 mpg - I havent reset it in a year.

  • I have a 1995 Town Car Signature Series... I love it.

  • 5:34 is AIR GUITAR TIME! :D

  • I think my obsession with these cars is reaching fetish proportions...I need one.

  • Aww no 8 track?

  • Man these cars were so nice, such a sweet ride w/good power and classic styling.

  • 5 stars!! *****

  • Yo, I defintely love that digital dash inside the car man, I would love to get one of these one day man

  • @Ddog2k3 u could jack one from any retirement home.

  • MMMMM, man i love these Lincoln Town Cars man. Sweet! :)

  • These were the best towncars around. My bishop have had two of these a 95 white signature withburgany leather intorior, and burgany cloth top,and a 97 cream cartier. They were both nice. These were the best highway cars.

  • i have a soft spot for cars like this and i dont know why xD

  • I know the towncar is considered a granny car...but I love em hey so comfy :)

  • @RJflyer4 My grandma has a 1994 Lincoln Town Car Cartier... she got it in 1996 and drove it as her main car for 11 yrs (She still has it). That Town Car had the softest leather seats ever, and the smoothest ride. The back seats were very comfortable (the front too, but my grandma was uptight about airbags so I didn't get to ride there till I was almost 14 in 2006.. LOL) Man was that a good car. Had the digital dash and everything. It was loaded, I'm sure (:

    July 17, 2011 2:56 am

  • mirror look at 6:11

  • i have one question... hands free phone? is there a 3.5mm jack somewhere? how does that even work in 96?

  • now that's a real car :)

  • it's exactly like the one you got on this video. except it's a 96 and it gots red leather. their nice cars

  • Everyone in my familys own a Lincoln. Now Im proud to say i got me one too>

  • I have and executive 1997 i got it and 2 omnths later the motor went in it here to come find out ford failed to tell there customers that the 4.6 has a plastic intake and when it gets to hot it punches a hole in the intake and melts the motor down.....so the place i took it to wanted to put a junk yard motor in it...lol...i said um i dont think so ...i put a new motor in it ...the total cost was $5,000 so i have a wonderful new lincoln now and i love it...stereo is awsome in it.......

  • Beautiful!!

  • That's a good looking vehicle.

  • Very nice. Last Fall I was given a 1997 Lincoln Town Car Executive with 65,000 original miles on it. It was given to me by an old couple who can't drive any more. The auto climate control doesn't work right. By the way, I looked up the EPA gas mileage rating. It's 17 city, 25 highway.

This car does not have the heated seats or the lumbar control, or the compass. My 1989 Cadillac, which is a smaller car, actually rides a little smoother. But the Lincoln is very nice.

  • I´m going to buy one did you it´s a god car in wich i ca trust because i go to very long trips like 3000 miles per week. sorry for my englis I´m from México an I´ll apriciate your answer.

  • @mario022594 stay in mexico, wetback.

  • @arnold84500 youre a fucking idiot. Theres no sign hes even in America. It says Mexico in location on his page. You wouldn't even know if he even was illegal.

  • @juppongatana773 he says where he is at the beginning of the video. pay attention estupido. he's in north carolina come mierda!

  • my dream car.... dont laugh but im gettin a 97 town car i really want one... im turning 16 in a few weeks

  • @wendyspwnsu Every one has diffrent opinons on cars. i LOVE the 2012 Fiat 500

  • @bobzzz23 then ur gay.

  • @arnold84500 i hate it now. trust me i drove it in a parklot its a piece f shit

  • @bobzzz23 you mean the 500 sucks, right? certainly not the Lincoln. i have a 94 TC. it is big, roomy, comfortable, the trunk is huge and it hauls ass. 76,000 miles now and i got it for $5000 out the door.

  • @arnold84500 i just didnt likle how it drove but i still like the looks of it. lets put it this way. i wouldnt drive it

  • @bobzzz23 u wouldn't drive what boy? the lincoln or the 500? u look like a youngster, how old r u boy? lincoln is grandpa car so it appeals to me. y aren't u in school son? ur response was rather quick.

  • @arnold84500 im 13 almost 14 i would drive either i guess winter break

  • @bobzzz23 who let's u drive a car at 14yrs old boy? especially a new car or huge car like a lincoln. you're an accident waiting to happen + you're still wearing diapers boy. be a child for as long as you can. grown ups suck. i tell you cuz i've been one a long time. would much rather b 14. believe me.

  • @arnold84500 ive never driven a lincoln but i'll be driving in 2 years and you have to start somewear!

  • @bobzzz23 never heard of a 16yr old who wanted a lincoln. don't c y u would want one. basically they're big, boxy, comfortable cars and expensive to maintain. every part costs an arm and a leg. too much for inexperienced driver to handle. u could probably pick up a used one cheap tho. remember repairs, maintenance and insurance. lots to consider.

  • @arnold84500 i would consider one for maybe a 2nd or 3rd car but my mom just bought a fully loaded 2012 Audi A4 and she said i could buy it from her for 6 thousand and i only have 4 thousand more to go.

  • @bobzzz23 a 2nd or 3rd car boy? + insurance? u must b rolling in the dough. give me ur address, i need to rob me a white boy with money! seriously, giving a 16yr old a 2012 audi is asking for trouble. 4 $6000 u can get a good lincoln and u won't cry when u wreck it.

  • @arnold84500 i rather just have the audi it may be my moms but i love and take care for it. so im just going to buy it from her but by then who knows

  • @bobzzz23 ok dude have fun with it. let me no when u wrap it around a tree.

  • @arnold84500 its a 4 clinder and i hate fast drivers i wont

  • My grandma used to have a similar Town Car. It was red, inside & out & she still believes it's the best one she's ever had (also owned a 2000 & now drives an '06 Town Car)

  • That looks pretty good for it's age!

  • I love this last model year boxy lincoln prior to the new generation ...very elegantly design . old grandeur

  • LOL 5:32 ERUPTION!!

  • thats a nice car

  • this car will always be my first love

  • its pronounced "car-tier" not "cartieh". btw it looks really nice compared to my dads 2007 town car. this car has really good technology from 1997. im impressed with the display

  • Very nice! :) keep it up Kyle you rock all your videos are great

  • Something America has always been famous for is luxury automobiles. As time went by, they were losing that stunning soul and elegant design they had in 50s to a point that now, in the 00s decade... they're turned into "wannalook" sport cars. I dont know, doesnt fit to their soul. This is one of the last good examples of class with an elegant design. Nice car. Thanks Kyle!

  • I remember when this model came out (I was little lol), it was the first and last American luxury car I ever wanted =)

  • What!? No CD changer!? That's sad!

  • Why are all these kids fighting on here....Its a staple of North American luxury and Kyle made a great video of this beautiful example....and all you people can comment on is the price on the window?? Geez grow up...

  • you have videos of the new hyundai's ?

  • @RabbitRacing09 I know for sure he has a 2011 Elantra on his channel, but I am sure there is more lol...

  • @saabkyle04 great video, miss the big family sedans like this. would kill to have one of these! keep up the great work!

  • I loved these. Noticed I said LOVED meaning past tense. So then I bought one and it was definitely a " Fix Or Repair Daily" and when my dad drove it "Found On Road Dead"! Don't know where these rumors came from that they're rock solid reliable...Oh I drive a 2010 Hyundai Elantra now. I like this person's taste if they traded that in on a Hyundai...

  • @rockerdriver these are actually very reliable cars if you take care of them. my grandmother had a 92 town car, she bought it new, put over 200,000 miles on it before trading it in in 2005 for an Expedition. the reason it survived so long and was so reliable is the plain, simple fact that she took care of it.

  • @rockerdriver Town Cars are a very reliable car. I am not to sure what might have been wrong with your dads, but with ANY automotive sector, there has to be one bad apple in a pile. My dad and I together, have owed 3 Panther body Ford. A 1992 Merc Grand Marquis, a 1984 Lincoln Town Car and a 2003 Lincoln Town Car, all were very reliable cars and never let either of us down. Got 360,000km out of the Merc, I had the TC for almost 2 years and put 120,000 trouble free km on it in those 2 years

  • wow light em up with those digital gauges!

  • 80% of these comments = pointless arguing. Really guys?

  • where it says back it means the back of the front seat

  • I don't like the digital gauges.

I also find interesting how Fords of these generation have a normal chime, then that random Chrysler-like chime. It's annoying me! lol

  • @ThePKProject this generation* and the random Chrysler-like chime that comes on when the door opens.

  • @MrFarty98 i'm sorry but you must know nothing about my channel and the variety I bring, before you comment I suggest you read what you're saying and see if it even makes sense. I film everything and I do this while going to pharmacy school. If you don't like it then I suggest you don't watch it, there's plenty of other people that are true automotive fans and enjoy my channel for the variety I bring.

  • @saabkyle04 Hey some people just don't get it. Keep up the vids.

  • @MrFarty98 just get the hell off these awesome videos all u doing is being a stupid troll and just go back to playing world of war craft

  • @MrFarty98 Are you serious? If you want to see a Ferrari or a Lamborghini, they're on Kyle's channel.

Kyle KNOCKS HIMSELF OUT to provide us with videos. The man drove two hours from school to film a Chrysler 300M Special, for instance. He not only provides entertainment but also some great how-to's and other information(ie, the Genesis and Lexus demo videos.) If you don't like what he films, don't watch it, bucko.

  • @MrFarty98 They're on his channel. Kyle takes the time out of his day to film cars for us, so you might as well appreciate it. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DON'T WATCH IT. Don't like it? Deal with it.

  • @MrFarty98 Lincolns are a staple of North American luxury, these other cars you speak of, are Italian sports cars.....if you have never seen a video from Kyle, and say Lincolns are junl, you obviously don't like or know anything about cars. Because some one who says they love cars, can like anything weather it be odd, or old.

  • @MrFarty98 hey he does those too and he does a good job on ALL cars.

  • @MrFarty98 Your comment made me lol. "You the hell videos a dam lincoln." That made my day.

  • @MrFarty98 get the hell out of here go watch some fart videos MR Farty

  • @MrFarty98

"you the hell videos a damn lincoln!! there everywhere and if you wanna film a car film a ferreri or lambo anb not a damn lincoln"

    Translation:

Who the Hell videos a damn Lincoln?! They're everywhere! If you want to film a car, film a Ferrari or Lamborghini, and not a damn Lincoln.

Learn to spell, read, and type, and GTFO saabkyle04's channel and go whine to someone who gives a doo-damn shit!

  • @MrFarty98 Are you serious?....the Towncar's are some of the Best,Solid Cars around.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrFarty98 Ayo, Lincolns is good vehicle man, i know cuz i got one. An Aviator

  • i can't for the life of me figure out why these vids are so popular

  • I find it pretty cool that you add MGP info on brand new cars you are reviewing

  • @Nicdoyon88 Yessir, I'm trying to add stuff like that on new cars

  • Such a fine car, real class.

  • Comment removed

  • @superduperzipz No, sorry, I don't do that, if you really want to know check kelly blue book or the dealer website

  • see those comments that say its a good car, a v8 with 210 hp? and all those plastic parts in the car, and the old panther platform. im sorry, this car sucks, even by 97 standers

  • the 1990-1997 Lincoln Town Car was assembled in

    Wixom, Michigan, USA

  • 5 people drive mopeds

  • Why is there 5 dislikes for this video? I understand if u don't like the car, but a dislike for the video is ridiculous

  • @zakyum maybe if u don`t like the car ,why u have to like the video if there is nothing interesting

  • @v21496v That's not a good argument, sorry, if you don't like the video, just don't watch it lol. Otherwise, appreciate the efforts I have to go through to film and edit all these videos while in graduate school.

  • @v21496v You can see the title, the car is a Lincoln, if you dont like old peoples cars then just dont watch/skip the video & save the hassle, simple

  • @zakyum maybe they are trolls lol

  • So why if there's no analogue clock, there's no radio clock?

  • You should start reviewing airplanes and buses too, Then you would be the Transportation seat of youtube

  • @Flysohighx21 Hahaha that would be epic

  • @saabkyle04 hahahahaha like '' Hey everybody, hows it going, today i bring you a 1965 SR-71 Blackbird. This is gonna be a full in depth tour of the Blackbird, start up and go over some of the performance data aswell features on the interior and exterior. So with no further adue, lets start it up and let it run * 2x Pratt & Whitney starts up * '' haha =D

  • @saabkyle04

"This is a Airbus A330...i will start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration and do a little test drive" Such epicness indeed.

  • Comment removed

  • super nice car but who ever had it had a led foot or something because mine gets 17.5mpg i runs 93oct and a superchip but gosh 15.2 is so bad for that car mine is also not a cartier but has every option that one has

  • I Love this Car!!!! Cool Video!

  • Love this car! Nice video, as usual, Kyle! BTW, Ford windows will always win in a power window race. lol

  • Lincoln is the equivelent to the now extinct Ford LTD in Australia miss them they were such good cars.

  • Wow!!!! That is one of the nicest Town Cars from that era that I've seen in a very long time. Absolutely beautiful!!!!

  • It looks like a new car! Is it a price on a front window?

  • @saabkyle04 the gas mileage sucks on that car it started off with 15.9 gallons and ended with 15 not moving.

  • my god those seats are the size of a damn bed lol

  • actually thats a good price for the miles and the car looks like it was owned by a little ol man.... but just a comment hagglin on YT is pointless UNLESS you are interested, for me I would like to see.... but for those of you who want to know type in the dealers name into Google... and find it out for yourself ifn u are interested DO NOT take up space on youtube for this purpose.... I have looked up the cars from time to time for my own curiosity

  • Van Halen Forever!!!

  • holy... thats actually... really nice... WTF? I drive by these all the time thinking, it would suck to be that guy. But it would kindof rock to be "that guy" ...damn... thats an impressive interior

  • My aunt has a 98 Lincoln Town Car Cartier. I love it I want to buy it off her really bad. Its a cream white color with neutral leather interior its got roughly 130,000 miles on it. This particular one in the video is in a little better condition than hers. Hers has the fabric on the roof coming off in the back window and one of the ash trays in the door has a broken lid but other than that its garage condition mainly because she parked it in a garage for years.

  • I want one of these so badly!

  • is cartier the top model?

  • @crystalscan2002 Top trim level yes

  • @crystalscan2002 yes he said at the beginning it was the highest end trim

  • The last great-looking Town Car.

  • For people wondering that price could easily be haggled down. I know those larger brand dealers don't like to have those cash cars taking up space on their lots for long so you could probably get a good deal on it.

  • @datboiwes333 This is exactly the reason why I don't put prices, it's immature to even argue a price of a car that has, one, been sold a long time ago, and two, by people who would not be interested in buying it. If someone really was interested, they would call the dealer, and haggle, not argue it over youtube comments. These videos are about the cars not a sicker with numbers on it haha

  • You haven't done a new BMW or Mercedes-Benz in a long time ;( ..

  • All seats in the car are heated? I wasn't expecting that for a 14 year old car!

  • Kyle, your channel has gotta be (unless it already is) the best automotive channel on Youtube. I'll admit Davidsfarm was pretty good back when he was on Youtube, but since he's gone, you're #1!

  • @talldude123 Hey Matt I really appreciate that buddy! Means a lot to know I've come so far, hope to keep growing as time goes on, gotta make sure not to get overwhelmed with it all haha

  • @saabkyle04 I know Kyle, I'm one of your first subscribers back when you were just making the Lexus videos. Always like seeing the new videos! As you always say "Stay tuned, plenty more where that came from!"

  • funny I looked at one of these just today.

  • @macbookpro57 I don't care much about the age of the car, its all about comfort and style for me. And the Lincoln has both, Nissan's might not breakdown very often but I'd rather put up with the regular American car problems than be uncomfortable in a foreign car lol

  • @MrRichierich1990 The thing rides like a damn go cart, suspension's stiff and the seats are hard.

  • @saabkyle04 She doesn't want it because the Continental has 120k miles and her Altima only has like 63k. I understand that that's a big difference but we're going to be moving down to North Carolina soon, and that's like a 12-15 hour ride, I just think it would be better to be comfortable you know?
