Yea, some windows is a must. Theft is not to common anymore, but its more of a security issue when the house is left abandoned when we head back home to the US. Majority of the has have "american style windows" but some are old fashion, just to keep some traditional features tied in. But yea, Its safer to go with bars at areas where it can be reached and for theives to climb into. -=)
@synikster if they gonna have metal bars window at least make them can open, i mean they stuck into those concrete and all, but today there a lot of police driving around on the street in vietnam so you dont have to scare of buglary, but if u do scare, u can set up alarm if they do have them in vietnam LOL or have some relative in vietnam to watch over your house
Ordinance isn't so strict in Vietnam about having them open. Houses are all made of concrete, why get scared of being stuck, when it wont burn? As much police there is in the USA, 500 to 1, compared to vietnam? Maybe more? We still have theft problems in the US, why would you think vietnam can do any better in securing its own people? Alarm is not common in vietnam, and I don't think theres and system in place.
We have neighbors watching over our house, although they still can be relied on 24/7 to keep the place safe. Same goes with relatives. More simple of a solution to keep bars in tact, looks cheesy, but it has a good sense of security in mind, its way easier to go this method
@bkbbowling - Thanks ! Considering the exchange rate, its fairly reasonable. Although, prices on materials to construct the house have inflated the past few years. Almost tripled, if not more by now.
Thanks for your answer! I see it now. How neat---you don't find houses like this in America. I would love to live in that house of yours! And that is a beautiful potted tree. LOTS of scooters out there! Beep! Beep! LOL Thanks for sharing. ;-)
do the still use metal bars for the window any more cuz it look like a prison, they should start using american window style

Where is the front door? How do you close the house up? Did I miss it? It is a beautiful house!!

The Garage is the main door actually, due to tight spaces and outdoor stairway.
Tho, its controlled with a small key remote, to open and close..
Thanks
