  • THERE SHOULD BE SUBTITLES IN JAPANESE!

  • Could you put up some english subtitles?

  • Hi, i was wondering if you could help me. I have a bonsai tree for a little under a year now and it's suddenly started dying, all its leaves are turning yellow. It's autumn now - do bonsai trees loose their leaves like other trees? I've watered it when it's started getting dry, but not too much. i've kept it indoors out of direct sunlight but in some light. I've pruned it a bit. The only thing i haven't done is re-potted it but i'm not sure if i should or not? Any advice would be welcome

  • @missy19bond Yes, bonsai lose their leaves like normal trees. This is hard for most people to understand, but bonsai ARE normal trees!

You prune a bonsai into a pleasing shape, and it grows out of it, and then you prune it again, just like a hedge. If you stopped pruning it, eventually it would grow into a normal tree.

It may be dying if it is a tropical tree and you have left it outside, but if it is deciduous like a maple it needs its dormancy just like any other deciduous tree.

  • THERE ARE SUBTITLES IDIOTS YOU GO ON THE BOTTOM OF THE VIDEO AND CLICK "CC"

  • @gunssssssssssssss123 yeah but it's still only JAPANESE!

  • hey i know the perfect plant for a bonsai, WEED!!!

  • @xxdarkbroxx Actually, yes, weeds do make great bonsai if they are woody perennials. In many places wisteria are considered weeds, but they make great bonsai! ;P

  • I am part japanese but cant speak japanese! LOL .But you dont have to understand her. Just watch the video !

  • Happy plants! ビデオをありがとう!!!

  • YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! JAPANESE

  • Good think I can read lips even though I don't understand japanese! :D

    oh wait...

  • You can learn by just watching, you don't have to understand. First she puts a screen in & secures it with a wire to keep the dirt from falling out. Then she adds rocks for the same reason. Then she trims the tree, picking one side for the front & one side for the back. This is why she trims a branch off, also to control the growth of the tree & give strength to the branches she favors. Trims the roots so it will fit in the pot & size of the tree she making, the rest you can catch on...

  • at least a english subtitle would be great to learn

  • お見事です!先生!

  • ありがとう

  • siema

    jest ktos z polski?

  • search: "How to Bonsai #1 (english)" - the same vid, but with subs.

  • Engrish pleez!!!

  • i love how i didnt understand a word of what she was saying, yet, i understood EVERYTHING she was teaching me :) her gestures and visuals made up for my language skills ahah.

  • just watch carefully and buy a professional book. most trees need a lot of growing time anyway, so if you feel like you need one asap, you might need to learn from the tree to take time. I am no professional but grew up with one of the greatest bonsai artists of germany, my father :o) you need books to look up the right specific angle to cut the tree, to learn styles etc anyway. everyone who loves bonsai should check out suiseki as well :=) doesnt grow, but is astonishing as well hahaha.

  • her house is so beautifully clean and organised and free from clutter.

i want her to be my wife

    plzzzzzzzz.

  • DAM i wish i know what she is saying i want to her watch this videos

  • nice work.....Nice lady...good teaching.....

  • No clue wtf she was saying, but i get the jist of it. Looks really cool, im going to try my hand at one here soon, seems like a relatively cheap hobby so if i screw up oh well no biggie.

  • @pimpenfresh9 If you've done bonsai before, you don't need to understand what she's saying. I don't know Japanese but I know exactly what she's trying to teach.

  • Video is really good and Japanese here is very wakariyasui. Thank you!

  • 説明がわかり易くて興味を覚えました

  • More videos like this! This is really good how to- video.

  • @lejovocaloid8 other than the fact its in japanese XD

we learn though our eyes as well as our ears so its not the end of the world :)

  • wonderfull,

she makes nice baby bonsai tree's,

this you you can treat to grow to all different Bonsai Styles, ( I love Benkan-Style, my Bonsai tree is in Benkan, I call him Dragon ^^ )

Hobe for more Videos 'bout Bonsai Tree's

  • It would have been nice if this video had English subs since the title and info are in English. Very disappointing and somewhat misleading.

  • @TwilightSleep

Wow! Misleading and disappointing?? What a nice video this was even if not in English. I am disappointed at your spoiled reaction...

  • @TwilightSleep Rather than complaining, how about if you ask what something means at a given time in the video? There are many of us who know what Kaori-san is saying, but don't have the ability to add subtitles.

  • @TwilightSleep your wish has been granted all hail the closed captions button!... wait i take it back "muscular to the conduit" What?...

  • @TwilightSleep By using creating a spatial microcosm bonsai plants in a small bowl. Because of its popularity, television and magazines, lectures by Kaori Yamada bonsai home bonsai books and working in various media. The video captures well the process of Yamada and polite explanation, I think you and I will be able to try the first time in more bonsai. The first time submitted to create a cute mini with a maple bonsai.(rough translation) geeeeeeeeeeeez :/

  • @TwilightSleep Turn on Japanese transcribed audio to English-- it's hilariously inaccurate for the most part, but you can kind of get a better idea at what's going on.

  • actually her father tought her bonsai!she is creating a new modern style bonsai that is more (feminine) actually some men Ive seen have horrible bonsai!

  • thats wut i said "j/k"

yes i know, i've seem aweful things here in youtube, in real life too, but i dont know many women making bonsai out there

  • you did not say"that"I did........ yes there r some aweful things in youtube too and in real life and Ive seen women do bonsai.....it really doesnt matter how many women do bonsai...as long as they like it and preserve their tradition its fine.

  • Subtitles would have been handy...

  • @jeremynorbury can't you see what she is doing?

and is nice to start learning new languages now and then.
