I don't understand the end of this clip. If Frasier was so worried about Kate meeting the news crew downstairs, how did she come up in the first place? She seemed fine coming up, why would she have to worry about the news crew in the lobby if she were leaving the building?

My theory is that they must have convulsed the audience with laughter during a previous take ( or rehearsal) of the scene...look at how Mercedes Ruehl (Kate) pauses,smiles, and briefly composes herself before delivering the "bad boy" line in such a coquettish manner

i love that even though Daphne does some housework in Frasier's apartment, he ALWAYS introduces her to guests as his father's physical therapist or health-care worker because that is her principal job, which is why Sherry and Mel treating her like the hired help bothers me so freakin' much...the cranes treat her with the respect she deserves.

I mean, hands down all the male characters are MUCH better than any female character on this show. Sure Roz and Daphne are brilliant, purely brilliant but none of them are a Niles, Frasier, or Martin. Even Bulldog, as horrible a character as he his, is still a delight usually and played by an incredible actor. I'm not misogynistic, I just hold an opinion...
