i really didn't like this game that much, levels were either 2 hard or 2 short, boss fights were waaaayy 2 easy, and the graphics are just bad, just compare them 2 megaman x4, the bosses looked as good as when u picked them from stage select, and in here they just look like crap, like blaze heatnix and shield sheldon.

I personally felt that this game was more frustrating than difficult. There are so many blind jumps into spikes or bottomless pits and a lot of the game just doesn't make sense. In my opinion, this was definitely the worst of the 2d MMX games. It felt so unfinished.

No, you have to use X because at the start of the game zero isn't unlocked. You have to defeat the nightmare virus before you can use zero.

Those are the nightmare effect from the Laser Institute. Certain stages add effects to other stages if you go to them first. They can also overwrite earlier ones, so you could go to the Magma Area to switch it to falling fireballs in this stage.

The guard shell has an additional effect. At least, when playing as Zero. (Bug?) Anyway, when activated, the Z-saber does multiple hits with each strike. The first 2 Z-saber hits don't make the opponent flinch, thus using: Guard shell and "Dash cancel", Zero can deal insane damage. ("Dash cancel": stopping quickly the first slash by pressing "dash", thus the Z-saber can be comboed infinetly again and again without making the enemy flash at all. The result? Overkill I say.

I respect your opinon, but I beg to differ. I loved MMX5. I agree that MMX7 was horrible though, but so was MMX6. MMX5 had it all. Good storyline, incredible music, fun gameplay, lot of cool skills and weapons, different endings and so on. Plus it had one of the best endings ever. The music in the end gave me the chills. Gives me the chills just thinking about it as well.

One thing i didn't know about is that sheldon shield, i never find it that useful to me, but it seems to be something you use alot Cauldrath, i've only seen it counter attack a few time on rare on my end, but i still wonder how does it help you alot on making this speedrun? Besides that, it's a great speedrun overall :D.

Love the fast slash, ever since i figured out that i could do that in X5, too bad in X5 it ends when you get that wind power up thingy (that red's T rex's weakness) then all that fun ends there :(. But at least i still enjoy it on X6 till the end.

you need to infinity mijion level then the virus would affect certain levels which are the northpole area and inani temple area

Oh, that is called Soul Body X/Zero. It is one of the Nightmare effects. When you are at the level selection screen,if you saw the Northpole Area is red in colour, there is a chance of encountering them.

Actually, the Nightmare effect is from Shield Sheldon, not Infinity Mijinion. Infinity's nightmare effect is shutting off light in some areas and that will only trigger in Yammark and Turtloid's stage. The way the nightmares work is the last level you've been to that would affect said stage. For Wolfang, the two nightmares that can alter his stage are Heatnix [falling meteors] and Sheldon's. Hey i just wanna check... There's no way of getting that trapped reploid(which gives u the jumper) in Northpole second area without Shadow X right. I mean u can't get him with Zero or any other armour right?

You can get him with any armor. You just need to equip the D-Barrier and time it so a fireball falls into that passage just before the spikes as you go through. Get hit by the fireball, then jump off of the spikes to reach the reploid. No way that I know of to get back alive, though, so I'll be using the Shadow Armor to get this in my speed run.

If you have the Speedster and the Jumper parts, I BELIEVE you can get that one with Zero. I can't remember. You can also get it with Blade X and a well-placed Ice Wave.

i like the way u can kill all the bosses really quickly. what move(or items) do you use against the. i just bought the x collection so im stuck on x5.

I use a combination of the saber dash, which you do by rapidly alternating between the slash and dash buttons, and the Guard Shell, which multiplies the number of hits each time you attack. The saber dash also works in X5, but I can't really recommend using it if you can't beat the boss normally.

You only fight High Max if you have already beaten the Zero Nightmare and haven't beaten the investigators or High Max already. I'd beaten the Zero Nightmare and the investigators, so I fight Dynamo instead.
