coolconfuzer i think your attitude sucks, i'm 50 and grew up with THE CLASH. And some teenagers, children of friends of mine never heard of the clash until 4 years ago. One happend to come to my house and saw me whatching the Sraight to Hell Video your talking about and i now as big a Clash fan as i am along with many of her friends. A Pozer, i think not. Thanks for posting this AppoCC119 I love it
No no, no need to go elitist here. Certainly Joe himself would not approve of such an attitude.
Besides, I must add that I had not even heard of The Clash at the time of Joe's death. Might have had something to do with me being 8 at the time, but still, by your reasoning I am a "poser".
im suprised you seem 2 know so much....joe died when i was 15 and i was listining to the clash for a good 4 years before he died...just makes me mad that now all the sudden hes a big deal a
Well, such is the way the world works. And really now, better he only be a "big deal" after his death, than him being ignored. After all, many future "true" Clash fans might not discover him otherwise.
@goonchistaw The production of rock the casbah was done by mick not topper. there are 3 versions of rock the casbah album cut, rat patrol(micks) and remasted. dnt call me stupid please sweetie
@coolconfuzer I think Mick did much more work on that album than it's recognized to him: I think the only difference between the two versions is a cleaner sound on the final cut, but in terms of arrangements it's almost identical to Mick' version, so I personally consider the production to be much more a Mick's work than Glyn Johns'. Clash fans, I live you all.
