@jcvideo321 no it is real, Sadako got sick because of the atomic bomb that was dropped by the americans in Hiroshima. She was two at the time. She got inspired to fold the paper cranes by a friend who dropped by at the hospital she was staying. The legend is that if you fold 1000 paper cranes you will get a wish from a crane, such as long life or recovery from illness or injury. She was able to make 644 before she died.
what a fantastic video!! seriously!! i've read the book and u have just brung the story to life even more!! absolute fantastic well done!! great vid!! brill!!
Great job! Thnx for posting this. Our world is full of people whose values and priorities aren't what they should be. We need to keep Sadako's legacy and dream alive. Peace to her soul, and to the world.
@summerkitchenstudio Just wanted to let you know I donated 644 cranes in honor of Sadako for the Ogosh B'Gosh clothing donations. Thanks for the animation.
Okay Im in Vancouver B.C and I read about the Peace Crane Project. Then I found out about Sadako Sasaki.
So It said that folding a paper crane is like making peace - some of the steps can be difficult and at first it may seen imposible. However there is always more than one route and when all is said done, no matter whether it is big or small, in the end it is a thing of beauty.
This is our cry. This is our Prayer Peace in the world
Actually, Sadako did reach her goal of 1000 cranes — she started folding another thousand, but died before she reached her second goal. I suggest you read the book "One Thousand Paper Cranes: The Story of Sadako and the Children's Peace Statue" by Takayuki Ishii.
Sadako's friends folded the rest of the cranes. Let's hope someday all the world's people come together like Sadako's friends did. Someday, maybe you can see the statue of Sadako and the cranes in Hiroshima!
The sadako and the thousand paper cranes book is so sad... this story is more of a kid version so its happier then the real thing but this one is ok...sorry i don`t really like the animations..but still good effort so 5!
