@alekbaby1 It's range is decent but the notes that compose it are made mostly of notes in excess of quarter notes, with the exeption of the eighth notes between the quarters. Basically and put plainly, this song is a slow tempo song and the notes are such that she has plenty of time to anticipate the next note. It's actually a very easy song and she is a "professional" - it wouldn't be anything if she hadn't messed up while trying to showcase herself through our country's song of history...
She didn't sing it absolutely horrible, but it was NOT her best performance. To be honest I didn't even realize she messed up. Yes it's bad that she messed up the anthem, but if any other person were singing at the Super Bowl, they might mess up or something. I know tons of people who barely know half of the anthem. The pressure probably got to her.

@AliCuppyCake As a wife of a retired Major who served in Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait, I would have NO problem telling her to her face that she screwed up and that she may have gotten the words correct if she had been concentrating on them rather than trying to put her "spin" on a song that doesn't need to improved upon.

Quit defending her... Shes been performing since she was like 4 years old. A professional like her shouldn't fuck up lyrics like that. ESPECIALLY the National Anthem. ESPECIALLY at the Super Bowl.
Can you imagine how embarrassing it must have been for those soldiers standing there to support her as a representative of our nation's most beloved song only to have her screw up like that? She probably had no idea too. Never knew the song well enough so just shot from the hip.

@papagrande808 This is the USA... The National Anthem is something you do right or don't attempt at all. You are thinking wrong. I would love to see her deported for what she did in front of those soldiers who fight for our freedoms everyday while people hate on them and sit on their fat asses, not caring whether the national Authem was sang right or not! I would have rather heard the song sang right but sound horrible than this.
