I agree with you and think it would be a great deal for liverpool, but just wanna mention that the epl is already a massive business in the asian market. clubs like man utd and chelsea have millions of fans there and so does liverpool already so if the deal went through it would just enhance the status the premier league holds there, and not so much start it of. I'm a united fan, but rivalry aside, good luck cause we are in the same situation with our owners so i know how it feels.
@colonelwhiskey I wasn't aware of Man U and Chelsea's actions in Asia. Seeing how Huang is partially being funded by an arm of the Chinese government, one would think that LFC would then become the dominant Asian soccer club.
@JLBsportsTV Yeah potentially it could pan out like that because it would provide a strong link between the fans from that area to the actual club, not to mention one of the biggest in Europe which makes all the difference. Looking at Birmingham City and their Hong Kong owner, it really did not make much of a difference cause the appeal is not there. Liverpool on the other hand is a different kettle of fish. Also like you said It would be significant business deal for the club in terms of profit
@JLBsportsTV Thanks, and it sure does :) couldn't watch the game but i'm catching some highlights as we speak. Great to see hernandez score on his debut in england against proper opposition, def be one to watch out for in the following few seasons. As for liverpool i'm glad to hear Torres is staying, great news for the whole of epl in my view and i couldn't bare the thought of him playing for one of these rich-boys chelsea or even worse man.city. cringe-worthy clubs, the pair of them.
Its said on Sky Sports News that CIC have just said that they have never even heard of Huang and that they wouldn't invest in such a risky business deal as taking over Liverpool.
@JLBsportsTV the iphone camera wasn' that bad, you're probably kicking yourself as the syrian businessmen are now the lead runners for the ownership. i saw somewhere that hicks was trying to stop either huang or the syrians from buying liverpool. there are strong rumours that poulsen is in talks with liverpool. in my view we should be getting defour who is 22 and far more versatile and far better player in general
(2) - money to blow, you're not taken seriously, in fact you're look down upon for being false and desperate. The same with Real Madrid - they're pathetic and a circus. If this goes through & Liverpool win the league, I can United fans saying 'They could only win with the money, without it, they're useless'. Personally, I wouldn't like that to happen to my club. I think a Liverpool fan (or as many fans as possible) should buy the club themselves with the club at heart, not a financial gain
English clubs (not just Liverpool) need stability. I don't think a foreigner with lots of money will help that much. Look at European clubs like Bayern & Barcelona, owned by the fans, Italian teams like Milan, Juventus & Inter owned by families (essentially fans too). They haven't needed outside investments to succeed. The EPL has hit a recession after a high & its time for cuts. It usually looks good when its incentive is money, but it usually fails, or in Man Citys case, where you have.....
@JLBsportsTV - I don't think it would look good for any club to win the league just on outside investment. Man City are a joke of a club with their money. Now I know Liverpool have a big reputation unlike City, but wouldn't this just hurt it by needing to be bailed out by a billionaire?
@Bazzer239 I think that Liverpool are such a prestigious and honorable club that they would never become a joke. Too much tradition and history. Real Madrid is an example of fan ownership gone wrong in my mind.
@JLBsportsTV - Hmmmm, we've hit a brick wall with our discussion so (haha) probably b/c I would NEVER want an outsider at Juventus, owned by a family for generations. But hey, maybe if he can help Liverpool short term it would do wonders, and maybe then fans could buy a club when the debt is gone, but I'm VERY against 'owners' who want to 'help' a club out. I'm always suspicious :P
@Bazzer239 Bailed out? do you know our debt is saddled by the yanks to buy the club it isnt none of them used for buying players. any competent owners will do just fine for us.
Awesome vid. You are right Huang + Liverpool = 3 000 000 000 chinese people = Billion of Pounds :D Let's just hope Gaylett & Sink (Hicks) will sell the club.
Thnkz dude... Seriously hope that we can compete for the leuage in a fair manner ^^

@Bazzer239 I'd love for the team to be owned by the fans. But if a billionaire investment is what it takes in the EPL to win trophies.... So it be.
