the violinist really needs to play more of a fiddle. Right now he's playing "classically". That just isn't the DMB style. It's needs to have that twang! Try playing on two strings at the same time, try sliding into the next note, i.e.: say you're gonna play an F# on the E string, try starting at an F flat and then while you're pullin your bow slide your first finger into the proper position. It'll give it a nice sound that'll add to the style of the song. Give it a try, I';m sure you'll like it.
