He is beautiful and sexy and I get plenty of flak for thinking so. I love everything about him, looks, voice, talent and of course his bass playing. If I wern't happily married and he happily married and if I had a chance, I'd marry him in a heartbeat. NO matter the money.... I like the whole package!! He's also got the best sense of humor which if you ask me is way sexier than looks! Top notch guy here!! Guys, be you and there will always be a girl who will fall madly in love with you.

He can't remember the 70s? People say that about the 60s. (If they were there.) And Geddy is being very clever to start his answer, "I can't remember the 70s, but..." Often, I say I can't remember things because I don't want to remember them. Or, I do so because it gives me an effective means of denial of my past.

RIGHT LET'S STOP MESSING ABOUT!!

Try playing Lee's bass lines (and singing) simultaneously, Lifeson's guitar riffs/arpeggios and solos, and finally Peart's syncopated drum rhythms. None of the above is easy to perform.

The "musicians" in many of the so-called bands of today would be completely and utterly out of their depth i.e. bands like say McFly or U2. Rush's complicated awesome music could well be described as being on a "timeless wavelength"!!

Does anyone else agree?

he's not just a great singer in a great band, he's a smart, articulate sweet guy. Great video. I remember seeing them at the Moving Pictures concert, front row floor. What a show. I'm such a huge fan. One of the greatest unique & talented bands ever.  Wouldn't it be great if all 3 of them were on Oprah & we were in the audience? What's amazing about this band is how each one of them is SUPER talented. They wouldn't be complete if they replaced any one of them.

At my first Rush concert, I felt really nervous and that was my first concert too, and I was sort of happy. I was in the first row, Ged's side and I think he saw my nervousness and he smiled at me and I felt happier and I smiled and he sang better. I love Ged and he's the reason I went to two Rush concerts on the Snakes and Arrows tour. He's also so eloquent and very articulate. Geddy Lee=The Only Bass Extraordinare in the World.

COOL!

RUSH is the only band I insist on going front row since 1984. Often we are under Geddy's mike (spray-zone lol).

He always acknowledges those in front with many parts of his playing and singing.

He points to our banners, laughs at our freaking out.

In turn, he feeds on our energy too.

(I've played live gigs and

a dull crowd or an attentive one makes the difference. It's a kick to get in touch like that.)

My oldest brother noticed I would turn up the stereo every time Tom Sawyer played. Since he was a big fan of 70's UK progressive bands, he recognized the progressiveness in Rush's music & figured Rush was one we'd both enjoy

I didn't have a checklist but from my account, I could have sworn they played both Moving Pictures & Signals in their entirety!

He was also 20-some years old back then, and young people don't always make the greatest decisions. Generally speaking, these are low-key, nice guys who didn't self-destruct like a vast number of rock bands at the time. They're family guys as opposed to celebrity seeking narcissists, so I think that makes them pretty decent people.

@CrazeKillen LOL... true. :-) Having lived and grown up just an hour-and-a-half from where they did (and just 30 minutes from Neil's home town of St. Catharines), makes me feel a bit more connected to them; a bit personally invested. I don't remember what the original conversation was from a year ago, but someone was apparently criticizing him for joking that he could remember the 70's, as though it proves he was a raging druggie. Rush is a positive role model for youth: Hardworking & humble.
