@hulkmeister23 Why couldn't Hollywood be like the real thing? No Yankee cavalry ever put Confederate cavalry on their heels. The rebels rode like centaurs while the northerners had to be tied into their saddles. Just the rumors of rebel cavalry in the area put U.S. soldiers in a panic. Jeb Johnston and his gray cavalry rode circles around huge Union forces often, and at any time they wished.

@mnpd007 Months of reading about cavalry in the Civil War and presenting a class on Custer convinces me that you need to go do some history to confirm your opinions. I see little that matches the reality of the case in your statements.
