the difference between lepard and tiger is the way it reads zip files. its not much and i dont see how it affects this but for some reason it does. If it doesnt work just do it over. It took my like 3 times and on my friends lepard it worked just fine. I think it has to do with the weather (lol) but i have no idea why the zip file has anything to do with anything that is all i know

It's a pretty cool hack, but there's some problems.

The menus are fucked up. You can only have 6 things or less. If you have more, it gets all grey throughout the menu. If you take anything out, the icons and words stay the same, so clicking on settings may make it go to photos or something.

It's also kind of glitchy at points.

I'll keep it though.

I had the same error, and I just discovered how to fix it. My iPod was formated for Windows, and to use this, it must be formated for Mac. You'll have to restore it using your Mac to reformat it. Good luck!

It worked, I am on OSX tiger. The error screen with alterpod was a non-issue and the hack worked just fine...after, of course, I wiped out all my music twice thinking I was a 5.5 and not a 5th gen Ipod LOL. If anyone else is confused about that by the way, the 5.5 has the search feature and a brighter screen, etc. The 5th gen does not. Thanks a lot, I did the touch hack, it is really cool. Do more videos! You are very informative and easy to follow.

u could be using a 5g ipod or u didnt select ur ipod, because even when it says ur ipod is selected u still gotta click on the drop down menu and select ur ipod
