i cry all the time when i hear this song, it makes me feel so powerless, its so beautiful but dramatic at the same time. i love it. its one of my favorite from this great band. i love kim gordon, she is my inspiration to my songs, love her. wish they make a lot of things for a long time!!!

I'm wondering if the home movies are just old footage from all of the band members childhood/ or family members childhood/ and the newsclippings proclaiming "22 killed in" aren't just the bands joke on us trying to make the song/video seem deeper than it really is? Or perhaps they really are being sincere, who knows?

Sonic Youth don't do bad albums! I think Murray Street is my least favourite of them all and one with Confusion is Sex is difficult but they can do no wrong. I've seen SY almost a dozen times live now but I don't think I'm biased. I don't think Kim's voice is eerie, I think she sounds sexy.

No, I don't know sorry, I've had a quick look for an explanation on the forums and stuff but got distracted. I usually get the jist of a song by listening to the music. I find it hard to concentrate or understand lyrics.
