  • God exists... crucially, perhaps even life-threateningly for some... for the Iraqi mother who lost her husband and 2 children in a bomb blast; for the young Romanian man living in a run-down apartment, working 10 hour shifts a day, earning the equivalent of $2 an hour; for the orphan Ethiopian girl raising her sisters alone. I'm an atheist. But I dare not argue religion with 2/3 of the world. For many, the idea of equality, justice and love (aka religion) is the only thing keeping them alive.

  • Again I see you pretending that science is making claims against god, or a higher power, and it just does not address these questions in any way.

  • Hears mine! Famous writer Atheist (Voltaire). The Physician waiting up with Voltaire at his death, said that he cried out with utter desperation, I am abandoned by God and man, I will give you half of what i am worth if you give me six months of life, then I shall go to Hell and you go with me,Oh, Christ ,Jesus Christ. Thats just one of many ive accounts I researched on Athiests death bed testimonies. No God??? Your death bed will tell you then Matt, and all the people you deceived, sad buddy!

  • @flatop59 People during Voltaire's time didn't know nearly as much about how reality works as we do now. People who are about to die are often desperate and scared. How does any of that make the claim that a god exists true? Desperate, malfunctioning brains do not prove god exists. Present some scientific evidence, or GTFO.

  • @WhosAsking03 Yes it does!! theres 1000s of after death reports that are similar and match up with biblical text pal...thats the evidence..Get your head out of the sand!!!! Research it and shut up about scientific evidence. You atheists are rebellious against God .Proof??? There was proof when Christ was on earth and old testament. People still denied like you...(YOU CHOSE TO DENY)===(Rebellion).do you understand that? or deny it!

  • @flatop59 What death reports match up with biblical text? At best, they're anecdotal testimony, which isn't reliable to support the claim that a god exists. The ONLY accounts of Jesus are in the bible. There are zero, extra-biblical accounts of his life. The bible is just a book. You don't think Harry Potter is real, do you? The Lord of the Rings? One cannot deny something that hasn't been shown to exist. Scientific evidence, or GTFO.

  • @WhosAsking03 You are a Lord Of the Rings...Read the bible your self and learn something, quit your whining. You atheistic head bangers wouldn't believe in zip if it was handed to you on silver plate. And if it was,ya still wouldn't... Reason,,,you like to argue! Your wasting my time,go pick on a newbie Christian. you just might feel worthy!

  • @flatop59 I have read the bible. Have you read anything else? I asked for evidence twice, and all you've replied with is attacks on my character and other non-answers. If you're not a "newbie christian," then you should be capable of a better response. I'm starting to think you're either a troll, or just so delusional that you're incapable of forming a coherent thought. However, I'm willing to give you one final chance. Evidence or GTFO.

  • Evolution explains changes and deviations in species not the origin of life...

Believing in God is no more ridiculous than not believing in God...

There are reasons for believing in God,and arguments for his existence, the Cosmological argument, the Ontological argument, the Teleological argument, the Anthropological argument, the Christological argument,,, if the moderator seeks truth... than why doesn t he address these arguments ,rather than "browbeat a caller"

  • It's called cognitive dissonance ;)

  • Theists like to do things like this a lot. Q: Why do you believe in god? A:You see, god is love. God needs us to have faith... Q:Why do you believe in god? A: Well, god gave us life & we should be thankful... Q: Why do you believe in god. A: You know, the universe is so beautiful... Q: Why won't you answer my question? A: I did answer, you just refuse to see the truth. Q: How did you answer my question? A: It's like this. God has given us so much... Q: Fuck it...**CLICK** Buh bye...
  • @Zentz29 I am a Theist, What the Hell are you talking about ?

  • @bkeay100 I'm saying that theists use vauge statements & give stupid reasons for justifying their beliefs...

Then, when asked why they won't answer the question, they say: "I did answer, you just refuse to accept that I'm right.

  • @Zentz29

    Zentz

The Cosmological, Anthropological,Ontological.Teleological, and Christological arguments for the existence of God, are neither "vague" nor "stupid" And have not been to my knowledge successfully refuted by the most brilliant atheist thinkers.

I am sorry for you that the Theists you engage in discussion provide "vague statements & stupid reasons" for justifying their beliefs.

The Classical Arguments are neither "vague nor stupid..

    K

  • @bkeay100 Apperently you are someone who understands these arguments.

Please, by all means, explain why they are valid.

One at a time if you don't mind...

I was actually talking about the "average theist", but lets hear it...

  • GOD is GOOD?? i dont think so, G.O.D is a less than G.OO.D

  • If God is just good then I believe god. But I spell that word with two O's.

  • "We have no explanation" means "as yet there is no explanation" not "God is the explanation."

  • Clearly atheism causes baldness.

  • @alconaftika ' clearly atheism causes baldness' lolol that made me roar out loud , funny

  • Xtians, Xanax, see the connection there?

  • @BiblePreacher889 I believe he was talking about the magic of warlocks and witches. While they may be fictional (kinda like your God), doesn't mean that we can't use our imaginations.

  • God is real you guys -__- l am God :3 All hail me!!!!

  • The "First Cause" argument is good reason to believe in God; Since all matter is not self-existent, something outside the created order must have brought it into existence, and this thing we call "God".

  • @TheGhostFromPlanetX What is the world does self-existent mean?

  • @marneedear --"self existent" means that something is not reliant on another thing in order to exist; We are not self existent, for our parents brought us into being. Likewise, matter is not self existent, something other than itself had to bring it into being.

  • @TheGhostFromPlanetX The universe may have always existed in one form or another. We simply don't know. Just as you don't KNOW that God exists.

  • @atheistram --So a morphing universe has no begining?

  • @TheGhostFromPlanetX

It is always a bit amusing how ppl argue that the universe must have a beginning- and this beginning is caused by a being with no beginning...

Or did I get something wrong there?

  • @Jaymaul009 --The "Steady State" theory of the universe was abandoned years ago.

  • @BiblePreacher889 Ok look, you've been raised to believe your fairy tales are true, if born elsewhere you'd believe other fairy tales are true. Stop being afraid and deal with reality. You don't need a magical sky daddy telling you that science is wrong. You have to understand 'goddidit' is not an answer. Humanity needs to progress and god is a giant stone tied 'round our neck.

  • Yet another irrational/deluded theist caller...

    Katalyzt

  • @Katalyzt Holy shit you don't have to leave a signature, asshole.

  • @BiblePreacher889 Just another way of saying 'god'.

  • @BiblePreacher889 My middle name is James. How many scientists believe the universe was made by magic?

  • @BiblePreacher889 OK so not everything has a cause then, I'll say the universe is eternal because the universe exists while everyone is still waiting on ANY evidence of your god. You can convince me if you pray to him right now and ask him my middle name. But.... you'll have an excuse for that. Wanna know a secret? He knows everything you know, no more, no less. He's your imaginary friend.

  • @BiblePreacher889 Does EVERYTHING have a cause? Yes=so does your evil desert god, No=then the universe may be eternal.

If you're gonna make the rules you have to follow them.

  • @BiblePreacher889

    No....that's stupid.

    Stop saying stupid things.

  • Was this guy a poe?

  • I don't think it's funny, I think it's sad. I don't enjoy watching people get flustered, I feel bad for them.

    .

  • @BiblePreacher889 How do you know the universe has no divine nature? What does that even mean? You just made that up as an excuse. You don't know whether the universe is eternal or not, and there is no correlation between "divine nature" and the age of the universe.

  • @BiblePreacher889

Special pleading. If everything has to have a cause, then so did God. If God has always existed, then it's just as valid to say the universe always existed in some form without adding God as an extra step. This argument is covered numerous times on the show.

  • "As far I know, Good doesn't have a penis" lmao

  • @MarcoArsenault good? im good and i got a penis

  • I just don't know how they don't laugh in these morons faces

  • pleanty of good has come out my penise

  • "God needs soldiers"? What happened to being all-powerful?

  • @hgryphon He is old.. He only has enough power to help people find random money and appear on toast.

  • Wacko o o !!

  • I got a question if God is self existant because God is infinite how come the universe is defined as infinite so shouldnt tha tbe self existant?

  • jesus christ, wi nice, ah wi alone cyaant dweet.

  • It is funny how there proof is always based on what we cant know. It's as if they re admitting to setting up an argument from ignorance.

We cant know ... therefore ... God

  • God is short for good? Well, if we follow that ideology, then what happens when you spell it backwards?

  • This is embarrassing.

  • "God is short for good"...... ROFLMAO...... Is this the best they got??? Hahahahahahaha........

  • I really like the way that Matt debates and formulates his arguments. He is very rational, and asks the perfect rhetorical questions so that his opponents defeat themselves with their own answers.

  • why do these guys have their hands folded as if their praying?

  • God is a tribal group identity. Everything the caller said about god is about a bonded

    group identity. People are groupy.

  • The problem with atheism being a religion is that atheists don't have a positive identity

to relate. Atheists exist only because they are identified by and persecuted by theists.

Atheists tend to be the somewhat related to naturalist and rationalist but atheist have

no group identity in which to form a bond. I can't see atheists having initiation rites and

regular group meetings then we must have a name for the others like "heathen" to be

    a true religion.

  • Someone should call in as god, that would be awesome.

  • How can you know for certain God does not exist?

  • @EGMAG

We can't. Most people don't claim to know that for certain. Atheism is a disbelief in gods, not a belief in no gods.

Atheism has no claim to knowledge, certainty, or belief. It's merely a rejection of a belief.

Those that claim that they know, for certain, that gods don't exist are, what many people call, idiots. Nobody can say they know anything for certain because they don't.

  • @EGMAG I believe (can't prove) no gods exist because there isn't verifiable credible evidence to support the claim. If You claim to know a god exists then please Define god in specific terms & present credible evidence to support your positive claim.

  • @tranquility4all evidence <,

Well many philosophers scientists and intelligent people have tried and all say that God is infinitely unexplainable, unless you are chosen by God to understand the nature of existence.

I know this does not prove to you specifically of an infinite origin of all things. Perhaps try asking your imaginary God for understanding may give you answers you cannot explain.

  • @EGMAG What You said doesn't prove or explain anything. Are You suggesting You were selected by an imaginary god to understand the nature of existence ? Apparently You didn't read my question. I asked you IF You claim to know a god exists then please Define It & present credible evidence to support your positive claim. I don't believe any god exists. Therefor I will not waste my time asking an imaginary god whose existence has not proven to explain anything.

  • @tranquility4all explain anything <<

You should read it over. Have you ever been through the most horrible things in life and were so scared shit you got down on your knees and prayed?

  • @EGMAG No I've never been scared to the point that I got down on my knees & prayed. Prayer doesn't help.

Solutions are constructed by gathering facts & submitting them thru continual testing.

Start Thinking instead of believing !

  • @tranquility4all Start Thinking <

I understand completely. Logical thinking and facts have no bearing usually with God; unless God wills it. I mean the most we have for explaining God is God can do anything without exception right? If God chooses who, how, when, where and why to do things then you can't stop that, according to beliefs &/or reality. However if there is no God; and you never suffered enough to the point of losing your senses in prayer, then you certainly are a rare person.

  • @EGMAG You've been engaging in Circular Thinking for so long that You're Dizzy !

You can't expect others to accept Your claim that a god exist when the only evidence You're presenting is the claim that a god exists.

Critical Thinking involves Questioning before accepting claims.

Credible evidence supports claims Not the assertion of of a claim.

You're correct about 1 thing. People who rely on prayer to end suffering are losing their senses.

Still waiting for You to define god & ...

  • @EGMAG & present evidence to support your claim that it exists.

Don't tell me logical thinking is not required.

Rational arguments supported with credible evidence are required for any claim to be accepted. Get Real !

  • @EGMAG Are You suggesting Anybody has been selected by an imaginary god to understand the nature of existence ?

  • What kills me is that Matt always says that we can't base our beliefs or faith on our experiences, well then what are we supposed to base it upon. Even if you do consider sending someone to hell just because they don't believe in you, evil or mean. Once you've heard that God has all power in his hands then why do you want to test this faith? Truth be told if and when you lose there is no hope for you and you will be forever lost. All atheists have mental issues(no offense)

  • @chica0616 fuck you (no offense) billy bob the prime leprechaun has all power in his hands so why would you want to test that? I assume you now believe that billy bob the prime leprechaun exists, and you will worship him as he deserves?

  • @chica0616

Beliefs should be based on evidence. Faith is worthless.

And you're assuming that it's either God (I assume Yahweh) or no god. But, Vishnu could be the real god, they both you and I are fucked. since there is no evidence for any gods, then there is no reason to accept that claim as true.

And just hearing a claim doesn't mean it is true. Every god is claimed to have "superpowers". Why not believe in Zues, Rama, and Odin? They all have superpowers too (according to the myths).

  • @chica0616 No Offense. You need to get Your head out of Your Ass.

Credible Evidence supports claims NOT faith.

Faith is belief in the absence of evidence or in the presence of contradictory evidence.

Your abundance of willful ignorance complements your excess of stupidity !

  • "gd" is also short for "good".

  • Usually the callers on this show are very simple-minded. But this caller sounds pretty well spoken at first.

But if there is anything that this show can do well, it is to point out how evasive Christians can be when trying to answer a question or emphasize a point.

  • pwnage!!

  • Russell: "As far as we know good doesent have a penis" LMFAO!!!!

  • I think I finally know the answer to all this shit, all the arguing, all the disagreements people spending hours coming up with new ways to debunk other people's claims...

Are you ready? here it goes... live life, love life, hate everything, worship everything, learn everything, dance, sing, write, fuck, jump, paint cats, do nothing, stop nothing, give everything and live and die happy, without fear.

  • Wow. Kind of bizarre the responses that people will blurt out when pressed on an opinion that doesn't have a very solid base.

I mean, "he's my my father" and "god needs soldiers and people who'll follow him" and finally "because he's needy".

That hardly sounds like an anthropomorphic omni-all-of-that being that loves. It sounds like a kid. A very grumpy kid.

  • If I am told by one more creatard that there poof of god is all around them, and to look at the trees, sky, and other natural events of nature, I am going to shit a basic biology book for them to read!

It is like a child’s ?s of why is the grass green, or the sky blue. We know that they lack the education, and mental capacity to fully understand the answer. Yet we persist. In hopes that one day, they just might get it.

  • lol if god does want to call into the show and say hi

  • Hahahahahahahahaha.....Sorry, but I can't stop watching videos with theists struggling with any kinds kind of questions or reasoning, like they're stoned or something, because it's so incredibly funny!

  • @PowerRedBull HIGH ON GOD MAN...

    It's the new craze

  • @PowerRedBull faith is like a drug, and the world is hooked haha

  • @PowerRedBull yeah... brain damage and ignorance is funny... not sad...

  • @PowerRedBull The reason why theists always sound idiotic when they try to argue their position is because their beliefs are completely idiotic.

  • "God is just short for good". Then why does God need money and why does he need churches and why do you kill those that dont believe?

  • @omnissient he doesnt ,we chose to do bad stuff and that screws ourselves over. everyone whos a christian contact me. we try to be nice to atheists but some of them want to start trouble.and god has diferent meanings like three other names of god, are jehovah, shalom, jehosephat.

  • @mrmutantdude70 So you try to be nice to us but you just cant cause we start trouble. So we leave you no choice than to burn witches and behead infidels and lead crusades to spread the word. I dont believe you. I think you're using God as an excuse to try to mass up power.

  • the thing inside your brother is denial. it can be a powerful thing.

  • serious this guy sounds like a person with mental problem, like he got an imaginary friend lol

  • infinity, maybe our universe all adds up to making an atom and that is part of a blade of grass on a bigger world and universe and it carries on like that forever an infinate amount. that can get rid of a omnipitant being. and theres proof of infinate because you can never get to the highest number there instant one

  • @froggy7671 I will not say thats its impossible, but that our universe is an Atom in another univeser, is rubbish ^^

  • Faith is blind and a big gamble. If faith was real and prayers would be answered, we would have a big problem with the world cup now would we?

  • because...hes...my father

    hahahahahahahahaa

  • It's amazing how readily people are willing to fill in their ignorance with a supernatural God. Folks, just because we don't know the answer to something is no reason to fill in the blank with a supernatural God!!! I could just as easily claim that Santa Claus created everything, and it would have the same validity as if I said "God". And can someone, PLEASE, explain to me why an all-powerful God would need "soldiers"?? Sounds kind of creepy actually, like something Mullah Omar would say.

  • What is God?

  • lol god needs soldiers, go to Afghanistan they have a closer idea to that kinda god more than america

  • I only have one thing to say, if you atheist dont believe in God, why do you get all worked up about it?

  • @heribertoc9 atheists*

  • @heribertoc9-because some christians in the US use their belief in god to justify making laws that infringe on the rights of others. and other fundamentalists theists use it as a way to justify their hatred and bigotry. if you want to believe that is fine, but don't expect other religions to bow down to your version of god and don't hold them to your religious laws, and also don't expect atheists to believe your religion has any merit

  • @heribertoc9 That question better be a joke.

  • @B1aDK It's not a joke. And honestly you guys may say that we christians contradict ourselves. But guess what? I think you guys are contradicting too, like that one atheist band that wrote the song "Dear God" it makes me ask myself, "okay they say they are atheist but they write a song to God? Why not just stay quiet about it if they don't believe in God?"

  • @heribertoc9 Our "so called contradictions"(which they are not) still isn't near the contradictions "you guys" make.

And if you really wanna know why we dont "just stay quiet", is because WE actually CARE about the truth and wont pay for your BULLSHIT to be taught to OUR kids. The whole "its a goodwill religion and makes people feel god" is bullshit. Denying to face the truth and act unreasonable is never a good thing. No, its not a joke. Its to horrifying to be.

  • @B1aDK Like i said before, if you don't believe in God, you would have never replied to my post because you don't believe in God (or at least you think) you are killing yourself man give up

  • @heribertoc9 Now I dont remember what your question was to begin with and I cant find it. But I know that what you wrote right now is bullshit, so your question probaly also was. ^^ Go watch some more if these guys videoes and if you still believe in god, I think you have a pretty low IQ.

  • @B1aDK low IQ? lol you're funny

  • @heribertoc9 And you're deluded.

  • @heribertoc9

That is the weakest point of debate I've ever heard. He replied to you because he chose to do so.

  • @AgentRiot13 no I believe it is the strongest, the truth hurts doesn't it agent? that's why you and others get all riled up and respond to me in a negative way cause you can't think of anything else to do, and you can't handle things in a diplomatic way :)

  • This guy isn't just the normal Christian crazy. This guy is literally schizophrenic. He needs a shrink.

  • Hmmmm....as a Christian, I must confess, I don't have any reasons. I wish I could say something that would blow your hats off but I can't think of a good reason. But I guess, I can say that believing in God is like a relationship. It has it's struggles but in the end love prevails. And knowing that God loves me, even during hard times, gives me the courage I need to get through. My life as a Christian wasn't a bed of roses. But to be a Christian is a choice and God moves through that choice.

  • God sont have penis?..is he a gay ?

  • Jesus said:

    1. Just thinking or looking on a woman is sin.

    2. Chop of your hand or pluck out your eye if it offends you.

    3. Some are made eunuchs for the kingdom of god.

Therefore Jesus castrated himself to ensure that he did not desire women and there by sin. That sin would stop him from entering the kingdom.

    Christianity is messed up!!!

  • @mephesh your first point (1.) is correct referring to sin committed or born from your thoughts which lead to sinful actions, and everyone including christians can sin by what your mind is focused on. your second point (2.) you have written a small part of the text which does not condone cutting off limbs or plucking out eyes but is referring to entering heaven. and your third point (3.) is rubbish! Nowhere in the Bible does Jesus say "Some are made eunuchs for the kingdom of god"

  • @spiritfingers1 Mat 19 : 12

For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

  • @yesitsmehereagain actually the text is as follows for Mathew 19:12 For there are different reasons why men do not marry - some because they were born without the desire, some because they have been castrated, and some because they have renounced marriage for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever can grasp this, let him do so." Most of this chapter was addressing Torah (religious laws) and was in answer to pharisees who were trying to trap Jesus. :)

  • @spiritfingers1 hahahahahahha, are you unaware of the many translations of the bible, you corrected my direct quote from the KJV. "actually the test is as follows..." you just proved your own stupidity. This is a perfect example of why I am not a Christian and never will be, it is a stupid religion for stupid people like you.

All the Christian bibles are apologist translations, if you read the original transcripts you would not be a Christian.

  • @mephesh Yes I am aware of the many translations of the bible. Do you speak in olde english, and have you studied all bible translations? Do you realise that the earliest manuscripts were written in Hebrew & Greek so therefore how do you get the original meaning from KJV if you are unaware of cultural traditions and language translation. The mere fact that you have resorted to name calling shows that you have fear and hate in your heart. where is your proof of apologists writing bibles? :)

  • @spiritfingers1 Yes I am aware of the history of the bible and its manuscripts and language translations. Anyone can ignore any part of the bible using cultural tradition as an excuse. And you can ignore any part of the bible using bad translation as an excuse. This is why it is impossible to find the right gospel to believe. Name any gospel topic and there are many interpretations and opinions. Christianity is an impossible impracticable religion.

  • @mephesh Gospel = Good News which are only the first 4 books of the new testament (Mathew/Mark/Luke/John. the rest of the bible is divided into Law/Prophets/sacred writings or poems/History/Teaching/Prophecy. all together it is called Scripture. There are 60 books in the whole bible covering all facets of life. Most bible scholars suggest reading a version a person can understand otherwise the meaning is lost like a person who has english as a second language trying to read the KJV.

  • @spiritfingers1The bible is just babble making no sense at all. It needs to be referred to as holy and bits of it as scripture to mind job into thinking that it has some sort of divine origins. If you study for a time you will notice all the contradictions. It is bullshit much like all the Christians on the planet.

  • @mephesh Well that just shows that you haven't searched it out for yourself and only rely on hearsay. How much of the bible have you really studied? the fact that you have taken text from the KJV shows you have uninformed opinions. To make a verbal attack on a certain group of people based on their belief is very weak and doesn't hold much water at all. :)

  • @mephesh Your attempt to list a succession of gospels didn't really hold any water and were in no way historically correct or sound. As I listed before there were only four Gospels written by Mathew/Mark/Luke/John who were all with Jesus during his 2 1/2 years of ministry. I think somewhere along the way you have confused doctrine with gospel. How you did this escapes me :)

  • @spiritfingers1 Wrong. None of the gospels were written by disciples. The gospels were written much later after jesus' death because they thought the world was ending and there was no point in writing anything down. Each gospel was written by their respective groups of followers. Matt & Luke were based on Mark. John was based on mysterious lost Q gospel and Mark. By then the gospels were infected with Gnosticism. Lame old dead jesus became the "Magic Jew".

  • @mephesh I suppose you were around at the time of Jesus so that you know 100% that none of it occurred and you also have all wisdom and knowledge to be able to speak of conspiracies. It's nothing but rhetoric that has been made up in the last few years to try and discredit the Bible. The truth is that you don't know what you speak of and so you use ideas that you have heard others say rather than searching out for yourself.

  • @spiritfingers1 I am right, every Christian I say this to agrees with me. The Angel promised Mary that Jesus would take up the throne of Jesus. That was the original gospel. Its Mary's gospel, not Jesus'. Jesus was just a deluded pawn who believed his mother. Can you see the trouble jesus brought on himself by believing his insane mother? You are making the same mistake by believing jesus and the bible. You are a self fulfilling prophecy of persecution and rejection.

  • @mephesh Again you show your error in knowledge of scripture. The angel told mary that Jesus would inherit the throne of David (not of Jesus as you have written) The gospels then provide two geneaology lines from Marys line and from Josephs line down from King David and also before king David. It also shows that mary was a cousin of Elizabeth the mother of John the immerser who was of a priestly line of Cohens, which also made jesus a cousin of John. Your last sentence is nonsense! :)

  • @spiritfingers1 I don't believe any of it. God is not real and neither is the gospel. It is a foolish thing to accept any of it as truth.

  • @mephesh Well you have every right to believe or not believe whatever you like. It doesn't mean anyone else has to accept what you say especially unfounded as it has been, as fact. Many people have had the same stance as you and then changed their ideas later in life and vice versa, many people have had faith in something and then fallen away from that belief. In the end you still haven't proven that God or the Gospel are not real :)

  • @spiritfingers1 I can explain your Christian views:

    sanity in insanity

  • @mephesh There you go again! Heaping up insult to try and make yourself feel better. How about trying to research things for yourself and not relying on others to determine what you believe in? If you still come up with the same thing then fair enough, but without being a scholar on any of the topics you have brought up you do not bring any weight to your comments. You have shown that you do resort to a lot of insult and profanity to try and make others seem less than yourself. :)

  • @spiritfingers1 Every time you pray the Holy Ghost is taking a dump in your mind

  • @mephesh Thank you! That just confirms your intelligence :)

  • @spiritfingers1 Christianity has its problems, you are evil.

  • @mephesh What a foolish statement! Every human being has problems. Christianity is a way to help people deal with personal circumstances and shouldn't be used to harm any other human being. Please try caring about people you don't know before being critical or judgemental! :)

  • @spiritfingers1 Christianity is based on eating an old dead guy every sunday that you murdered 2000 years ago. It is the occult on its head. You believe jesus is alive, are you eating a zombie? It gets worse, jesus wanted you to kill him so that you can eat him. Work that one out. So by killing and eating a guy who sacrificed himself you have become immortal. Nice, real nice. In what way is that not insanely evil? Christianity guilts you into the occult through self condemnation.

  • @mephesh Why don't you research the communion of christiansbefore making your silly assumptions. None of what you have said is based on fact but merely assumption which goes back to the days of ancient Rome. Are you that ignorant that you would hold to the same assumptions of uninformed men from 2000 years ago?

If you also go back over all your comments you will find that they all contradict each other in what you have said. And then you have the nerve to be judgmental of christians?

  • @spiritfingers1 What are the contradictions?

  • @mephesh Lets see! one follows your comment "I have no intention of killing anyones faith" Yet you are trying with all your might to discredit the Christian faith. I would say that is one contradiction. Also the majority of arguments you have brought forward has errors, no basis, and is unfounded. It seems you have been listening to hearsay and not actually researching what you have heard to find out if it is factual. You feed off theories and old wives tales and not proven fact.

  • @spiritfingers1 This is just a theological discussion, no faith killing. Do you have a real contradiction?

  • @mephesh Oh Really? Theological discussion involves valid arguments and facts, not assumptions/insults/judgemental attitudes/or ill conceived ideas loosely based on hearsay. :)

  • @spiritfingers1 Do you have a real contradiction or are you just writing shit because you love reading your own words? You have to have a reason to write things you can't just type shit for no reason. Do you have a real contradiction or not?

  • @mephesh your whole line of arguments are a contradiction, professing that you know about christianity when you know very little of it and what you do know has no basis. How can someone who has no theological training discuss theology? and yet you try to discredit a faith without even having full knowledge of that faith, its central gospel or doctrines. :)

  • @spiritfingers1 Good luck with your full knowledge of faith, central gospel and doctines.

  • @mephesh I don't believe in luck, but have seen providence in abundance. Again through trusting. Shalom aleichem! :)

  • @spiritfingers1 ok.... so you don't believe in luck but you do believe in God.... I will leave you with it, all the best with the religion thing and believing that everything is corrupt and evil or whatever.

  • @mephesh Thank you for your time and bringing your ideas to this thread! Not everything is corrupt or evil but most people have freedom of choice and consequence. Shalom and all the best! :)

  • @spiritfingers1 Why do you trust in things that are not seen? Isn't that a contraction?

  • @mephesh That is what is called faith/trust but you wouldn't understand that obviously.

  • @spiritfingers1 Nothing I say is hearsay, I don't remember quoting another person or relaying a rumour. Do you know what hearsay is? Everything I have said is my own view on Christianity. Do you understand what you are saying? I am not using hearsay! I get the feeling you are just saying words for no reason, just to say them. You don't understand the words you just say them and hope I will put meaning to them. It's really creepy, its like you are dead but also talking.

  • @mephesh If nothing you say is hearsay then why are they exactly the same statements that have been made by many other misinformed people since the concept of atheism has been around? Hearsay is making a statement which is unfounded and has no basis in fact to support the statement. your last statement is mere rhetoric! research that one! :)

  • @spiritfingers1 My assumptions are 1. There is no god, jesus or holy spirit. 2. Christianity is a religion based what you read in the bible every night before you pray and go to bed. You say these assumptions are hearsay. The truth is: there is no truth in Christianity. The whole idea of Christianity is to avoid truths. By avoiding truth, faith can manifest in your mind and therefore make Christianity truth. Faith is the belief of truth without actual truth. Faith=Truth?

  • @mephesh Yes I agree that they are merely your assumptions and have no factual evidence to support your ideas, so we have that statement as fact! All religions have a book or code of ethics and in fact countries and governments in the same way also have moral code of ethics or laws for successful governance. Christianity is a faith in which believers trust in the Trinity for all things, and truth is a separate matter to trust. Faith does not = truth :)

  • @spiritfingers1 I apologise for associating something in your religion with truth.

  • @mephesh No need to apologise, Trust and Truth are very similar. :)

  • @spiritfingers1 Why is trust similar to truth?

  • @mephesh I would have thought you would know the definition of the two but since you have asked, Trust is having confidence in something or someone. and Truth is something that is held to be a verified fact, therefore they are not the same but they are similar. :)

  • @spiritfingers1 Trust is similar to hope, believe and faith (not factual) which is opposed to truth (factual).

  • @mephesh so then the question I would put to you is, if a person has a Trust/Hope/Belief/Faith which you claim are (not factual) How can they be opposite to truth which you claim is (factual) Does this not make your statement an oxymoron? Since the Truth is that the person has Trust/Hope/Belief/& Faith therefore making them not opposites but the same. :)

  • @spiritfingers1 The whole premise of religion is to claim that faith is truth. When Faith is tested using the scientific method it fails.

  • @mephesh Just out of curiosity what is the scientific method for testing whether faith is truth?

  • @spiritfingers1 I get it, believing is similar to truth too. Another religious pit of insanity. Everyone of your statements is some kind of weird religious idea. No need to explain the trust and truth comment, there is no valid explanation.

  • @mephesh Ofcourse it seems weird and insane to you. Its normal for the physical and natural to wrestle with the spiritual and supernatural. All people are born to struggle with trusting what we can't see. It is a trait which has caused mankind to find breakthrough in many areas including science, technology, and medicine. :

  • @spiritfingers1 Instead of struggling with the spiritual and the supernatural, just dismiss it. Science, technology, medicine are a products of the scientific method.
