Damn, that's good! I'm an old musician who not only resembles you, but plays and sings in a similar way! If you ever find yourself in the vicinity of Shreveport, La., or Germany, please let me know, and we can do some serious jamming. And, by serious, I mean, not too serious. I do a lot of Old Hank, but none of it is on my YouTube, and YouTube won't let me put a link here to my Facebook music page. If you want to do some collaborations, write to me at allenjmsmith@hotmail.com.

@ivegotyours Thanks for stopping by and the kind comment! If Hank Williams and the old time country sound is your cup of tea, come back again as my brother-in-law Jim specializes in those old tunes.
My brother sang this song as a tribute to our little mum who sadly passed away 30.11.2009. After her funeral mass was said. It really comforted me when I played you. Singing it. Thankful.
@kathyturner100 Thanks for sharing, Kathy. My sympathies on the loss of your mother. I'm sure your brother did a beautiful version of this great old tune.
you need to head on the the Grand ole Opry! I'm learning guitar, and I enjoy playing this kind of music, not very difficult, but has a lot of heart in it. I appreciate the old-timers
@jerrybolin Thank you kindly, jerrybolin! That's my brother-in-law Jim singing and playing. If you're looking for simple songs with a ton of heart you can't go wrong learning songs by Hank Williams. Three or four chords will have you playing dozens of Hank's songs.
Thanks again for stopping by. We hope you'll come and visit soon.
That's my brother-in-law Jim doing the pickin' and grinnin'. We both thank you for taking a moment to listen and comment. Your time and kind words are much appreciated.
usually just a fan of irish music, but always loved this song by hank williams, went lookin for it on utube and couldnt find him singin it, so clicked on this, to be honest i was pleasantly surprised,a nice version, fair play,, maith an fear!
Thanks for stopping by and the very kind comment. Do appreciate your taking the time to watch and listen. If you like the music of Hank Williams, come back again. We've got a bunch of Hank's tunes up on the Tube.
yea man hank williams sr was a great song writer... his material is so simple and catchy... if i could only figure out how to write like that i would have it made
Isn't that the truth! Of course that's the reason he was one of a kind. No one could write more songs with less chords than Hank. Thanks for stopping by to listen and comment Starbock!
Thanks for the comment, Jerry. I think Jim is still surprised to find out the number of people who know and appreciate the same music he does. He's got a few more coming later this week.
Another 5***** performance for Laid Back Jim. I did't know the story of Hank as Luke the Drifter. There's so much treasure Jim has to share with this younger generation. Thanks for posting this. You've really inspired me. God Bless. Ray.
Jim and I thank you for the comments and the rating! Jim is a virtual encyclopedia of old time music and I've encouraged him to put up as many as he can remember. I know he's definitely got more up his sleeve.
Thanks guys! I'll make sure Jim knows of your kind words. He really gets off on the fact that people he DOESN'T know enjoy the same kind of songs he does. Thanks again for listening!
That's my brother-in-law Jim singing. And Lord knows he has a way with a tune! Thanks for the comment. I'll make a point of telling him of your kind words.
