How about these reasons? Obama's web site reads more like the American Socialist Party than that of the Democrats. His ideas on fairness and economics are rooted deeeper in the Communist Manifesto than in the US Constitution. Maybe the unions like that he supports taking our right to secret ballot elections. Maybe, like the government, the unions no longer represent the people and its time for reform. Obama, I wouldn't count on the union vote.
..And here we have it in a nutshell. godknowtoo spews his vacuous, insulting rhetoric writing off a perfectly legitimate candidate and condescendlgnly and presumptuously transfering his recidivist hatred for progress (8 years too soon) and deigning to speak for the nation.
How many ways can one attempt to camouflage their racism?
The excuses are running short gfodknows, and your rhetoric belongs in the Jim Crow era.
This is the 21st century - wake up, or suffer the fate of the dinosaurs
Don't attempt to intertwine your beliefs with my own by agreeing and then making a conflicting assertion soon after.
Color has, for a long time, given this country pause.
McCain is < or = to Bush.
A man who rises above all of the name-calling and mudslinging to stay on message despite the chorus of supporters who want him to fight dirty, is* a great candidate.
Obama 08
His flaws are far fewer than any candidate to come before him.
I agree. We don't agree on everything. I'm open-minded. But, like many Obama supporters you seem to be a dreamer and have offer little of substance ( so far ). My vote for him will be as "the lesser of 2 evils". Unless, I get so suspicious and turned-off by his fiercest and rudest supporters I just vote for a minority party candidate.
I felt comfortable with Obama...at the debate. But many of his supporters are very rude and nasty. Can you express yourself politely and intelligently?
You feel insulted because you want to. You implied several times that I was nasty or not smart. While I have simply stated that your rhetoric, your approach to discourse, wasn't constructive.
Having been insulted by you several times, I would be well with in my rights to be equally insulting to you.
You didn't answer the question of substance from above.
Specifics? I assume* you are competent enough to research and find answers on your own. Which says to me, you prefer ignorance over knowledge.
Is substance the only word you know? And with that, a word you can't even clearly define? Stop asking for knowledge you lazy misanthropic anarchist and do some research.
The name calling started on your side by the way.
Good day to you, coward/moron/lazy-idiot. This is me being nice.
wow. Thank you, Richard Trumka. You are a man of honor and I felt real pride listening to your speech. As a white, middle-aged woman, I am READY for Barack Obama!

Things that are bad for us:
Democratic unity above all else.
Anti-choice.
Obama running 8 years too soon.
Unions that force you to join.
People like Trumka saying it's Obama's color
that gives us pause.
The claim that McCain= Bush.

Things that are bad for the USA:
People who ignore the truth.
Those who are blind to reality.
The willfully ignorant.
The claim that Candidate McCain = Maverick McCain.

Surprise! I agree with you.
There are no truly great candidates and it's been another
despicable campaign by both parties.

Do we still agree? Doubtful.

"Politely and intelligently?" More empty rhetoric? A statement of falsehood given in hopes of being perceived as truth?
More "substance" please? An old and frustratingly tiresome argument. What exactly is substance? What can he give you before he's in office?
His plans maybe? They are outlined quite clearly on his website...
His approach to politics?
Any number of uncut speeches can give you that...
What exactly do you want?
FYI this nation was founded on dreams. You may want to remember that.

If you were smart you'd share some specifics
about your candidate and never insult the person whose ear you have.
Here's an independent undecided voter who
walks away no closer to Obama after encountering 2 nasty people: you on youtube; Biden on TV.

Lousy Obama supporter.
Too lazy to offer anything of substance.
When I have a candidate or cause to promote
I offer reasons and not "go research it yourself".
