  • AE ftw~

  • can i create a smoke effect in cinema 4d?

  • @negresiolo If you've got a decent version, yeah. Depends how much effort you're willing to go to. There are easier ways which look better for less effort. Using 3D modeling/animation software is what the professionals do, a lot of work though, and they know what they're doing.

  • @Corvid Thx bro, you helped me alot

  • verry good :) thumbs upp ++

  • Where do u get ur sounds?

  • CSS sound packs.

  • @Corvid counter strike source? haha they've got the most realistic sounds

  • @Corvid Where do you download them?

  • i think a good way of makeing shells look real is if you have a programme that could be vegas 9.0/8.0 ect.. you can make a motion blur effected on the shell...i dont know i hope it helps? haha

  • Then you've got to screw wround with layers, as opposed to doing what hollywood would do. The difference is, as I said, I don't have the time to make anything especially flashy.

  • @Corvid yea yea but you seem to if you have time to do this crazy stuff :O its amazing anyway it only takes an amount of secs to blur it:P

  • ....anything is pirateable with the right tech and knowledge...

  • True, but good luck singlehandedly cracking something which isn't popular enough for the cracking underworld to take interest in.

  • the Shells Looks very unreal

  • can you use photoshop?

  • HELL NO

  • oh well, it wer one of the first few comments

  • yea what programs?

    link me!!!

lol i have an entire airsoft team thats waiting on me to get my hands on a free program that works well.

  • This isn't the solution for you. It uses programs that you'll have to pay for, and spend hours, if not days learning how to use. Might I suggest buying "effects lab". Quality, quick, and easy muzzle flashes come at a price, end of story.

  • when you say come at a price do you meen that you pay for it and then you can do what ever you want or do you have to keep paying it like every month or summit

  • You pay for the program once, and that's it. I said "at a price" because the software is virtually un-pirateable, so anyone wanting to use it will indeed have to pay.

  • thanks :)

  • whats the program called,, im not cheap and i will buy it.

  • As I said, EffectsLab by FXhome. You don't HAVE any other option other than buying it with regards to that program, it is unpirateable.

  • ok,tar mate, i was looking throo thew commments and noticed one bout legal guns, youve got to be american im guessing, as in england its illegal to have an airsoft gun unless ur over 18 and paint it bright illuminous pink

  • Errr, no I'm in the UK. Where you getting your info from bro? Whoever told you that was talking near enough bollocks.

  • @Corvid was that windows xp professional you are using or windows 2000? just wanted to know!

  • @TheAnneRobinson Uh, XP home if I remember correctly!

  • Wat program is this?

  • I think its Cinema 4D

  • you should vary the distance in which the shells are spat out. Because on a real gun, like the first one usually comes out pretty far and then they start coming out a little bit shorter and then varies in distance. But other than that, great job

  • cool

  • u should work for cinesite they did effects for golden compass

  • So that explains things properly then.I know of a British company or actually two British companies that make front-ventors(Made to UK specifications.)Frontline Armouries and Cotswold Arms.Trouble is that they cost a fortune, but Frontline makes M4 Carbines,M16 Vietnam/A1s and A2s,AKs,Garands,M14s,etc.Cotswolds made MAC10/11s and blank MP5s.Don't know if they're still around, but these guns were £750.00-for a MAC that is.

  • Errr, I think you'll find those a REAL single action firearms from Cotswold Arms. Frontline Armouries certainly LOOK like they used to have a fair range, but I would imagine you'd have to prove you were at least a small time motion picture armourer to buy from them if they were front venting. There are always PFC guns, they look fine if you can find the one you want.

  • I also agree that front-ventors are a pain in the arse too.But at least our blankfirers don't have red stoppers in them, unlike those in America, but due to this crap legislation in place, there are limited numbers available. The Bruni Glock and Defender monopolies.

  • Corvid,I must say that I'm very impressed with your work. Now,do you hold an exemption under the VCR act 2006?I know of a way to order gas guns(Front-venting ones.)from France and Germany,by passing off the guns as airsoft ones and giving a copy of your insurance,to customs.Customs usually buy this, because they target the more dishonest purchasers, but again they could check it and the worst that will happen is if they confiscate them, due to ignorance on your part.

  • The problem is, front venting blank guns are actually illegal. You couldn't even get them legally BEFORE the VRCA came into place, because they are stupidly easy to convert to fire either live ammunition, or projectiles of some description. You REALLY wouldn't want to get caught with one in this day and age...

  • crap

  • the shells coming out look a little to fake and cartoon like but other wise very cool

  • lol it looks like crap really!!!!!

  • Omg! That looks quite hard to do but i think it's the best i've seen so far!

  • whats the program he's using i need to no for gangsta movie coming this summer its gonna be more shot outs and blood then eva...

  • I highly recomend you google FXhome and get Effects Lab... doing a whole short film like this would be very hard. Plus Effects Home produces better results.

  • but that program for real costs like 900 bucks

  • What? Even VisionLab only costs $500... EffectsLab Pro and CompositeLab Pro together are even less (and are nearly the same).

  • oooo ok. even still i dont have that kinda mmoney

  • Me i just take a photo of the shot where the there should be a gunshot and i use

"Photo Impression 2" to edit the shot. This is very good but it's a bit expensive!

  • what is the program?

  • Whooh cool

    whats progam?

  • Pity you make a total arse of yourself by hitting "post comment" before bothering to read your three word comment. Now fuck off. Spastic.

  • how did you make the shell casing and what program did you used

  • awsome stuff but for some reason inmy animation shop i cannot save it as an avi. file any help?

  • u sure this is the easiset lol no way, but em if it works for u great, nice job.

  • easier option...use blanks lol

  • I can assure you, blanks and blank guns are a royal fucking pain. The muzzle flash comes out the top of the gun: if it doesn't, you're going to prison for 5 years. They are loud. So loud, that they sound shit through even a decent microphone (not that you use the actual noises anyway). Then you've got the problem of filming with them. Unless you are in the middle of nowhere, seeking permission from the police is a must (unless you actually WANT CO19 unexpectedly guest starring in your film...).

  • prison for 5 years? blank firers are perfectly legal to buy off any website. different story if you take them outside and start pointing them at people but hey..you'd be an idiot to do that i guess lol. I own a blank firer and the muzzle flash is normal...using 9mm blanks like in tv/movie productions.

  • If the muzzle flash comes out the barrel (i.e. where the bullet would exit on the real thing) of your gun, keep pretty fucking quiet about it, or hand it in to the police. If its a PFC cap gun, fine, but if you are found to own a 9mm PAK front venter, it will get you very little different a punishment than if your gun was the real thing: front venters are very "easy" to convert into firing live ammo (verging on bullshit but as they say, "try telling that to the judge").

  • And yes, various TOP venting 8mm and 9mm blank firers ARE prefectly legal, I own one of them.

  • I think its cinema 4D in Version 7 or 8

  • Ha! I wish mate! It's CE 6, and came free with some edition or other of PCPlus. I can't afford the real version you see :P

  • wat program are you using...reply

  • cool look AT MY VIDEOS of muzzle flashes please

  • Creating casings in a 3D application is great, however there are a few better, or "widely preferred" ways of doing the muzzleflash and smoke.

  • Yes, yes there are. I've "moved" onto Effects Lab myself. Not bad at all for the price.

  • how do you record your computer screen?

  • Using a cracked version of "Screen recorder gold".

  • was that blender?

  • cool have a look at mine using After Effects 7.

  • hey could u tell me what the site is u used 4 this muzzle flash test. u did very well. also can u make blood effects with this program. please i need 2 know

  • cool! can i get this for free? if i can, where can i?

  • Yes, all of the programs can be obtained with no cost to you... however, they are exceptionally hard to use for just messing around adding a few muzzle flashes, and it would be a waste of your time learning how to use them.

  • nice vid man, can u send me links to where to get all these things? like what you used to make these?

and how much did youre famas cost?

  • I could, but it would be pointless. They are not the easiest pieces of software in the world to use. My FA-MAS costs £160, thats without battery or charger.

  • amazing, i'll bet that took a while to learn...

  • VERY nice. Man you 0WN whatever I can do, but there is just one problem from a viewer's standpoint. I'd say the barrel looks a little...ripply if you know what I mean, just a little tip. I dunno it's so fucking awesome I can hardly think of any criticisms lol.

  • pretty good, i just don't like the actuall muzzle flash.

  • It is very basic, but thankfully I now have new software for muzzle flashes.

  • yea, im looking forward to seeing more.

o think the c4d smoke is pretty impressive also

  • I'll let you know when I put up my next muzzle flash video.... i've got a really good one in the works.

  • awsome video!! where did you get your gun sounds from?

  • A weapon sound pack for Counter Strike Source. REALLY useful source of sounds, already in a .wav format. I load them into CSS, for the M4 usualy and record it being fired ingame using a minidisc player.

  • what program is that

  • Which part? The smoke is made in Cinema 4D CE6, and the muzzle flashes are made using Animationshop, and Paintshop Pro.

  • Some of the nicer looking muzzleflashes I've seen on the dregs of Youtube.

  • nice job, slow render though

  • Yeah, took ages to render the real thing.

  • you legend!!!
