So if you see it and they say something about a river and than run, know not to blink or you are going to miss his nude shot.

This movie was absolutely wonderful. It was so sad, and I personally cried more in this movie than I have in any other. Anne Hathaway's portrayal of Ms. Austen was flawless. James McAvoy's performance made you fall deeply in love with him from the beginning of the movie. Such a great film.

There is a degree of truth in the story, you know, she did admit in one of her leters to her sister that she did have a flirtation with Tom Lefroy and after that she burned a lot more of correspondence concerning him. He, on the other hand, was asked who was the love of his life and said Jane Austen, in a boy-ish way. Plus, he named his eldest daughter Jane, so who knows? JMcA explains it in one of his interviews:)

Just seen the movie. And I must admit I had not expected much, but I was really positively surprised by it. I thought it was an absolutely adorable film, it was a very romantic, and James McAvoy certainly managed the swoon factor very well. Of course there is not much history foundation of the romance, but it was wonderful even so.
