  • Nice loong. You should check out my school's loong. We are the Wan Chi Ming Lion/Dragon Dance troupe in New York. Check out our website at liondanceny(Dot)com

  • Isn't even my culture, but I love it.

  • Is it hard to make that dragon? My middle school wants to do a dragon dance, but...I don't know if we can now...

  • Hmm... If it is just for fun, it should not be too hard to make a basic one. You basically need, for example, 5 sticks. They would all have a small barrel/cylinder shape on the top (like the body of a snake). You would then need to run a length of cloth over all 5 and then maybe sow it up underneath to form a snake like body. (there are coiled wires inside the length of the body to keep it "fat", but the ones in here have already collapsed!). Decorate the end barrels as a head and tail.

  • @olioh nice vedio man

  • That is a very quick description of how you MAY want to go about building one in a very basic way. Hope that helps. Could be a fun building project if anything!

  • NICE SIAT

  • may i know where izit?

  • Camden Town Hall near King's Cross station.

  • ic...it's in london isnt it?

    btw,it's nt bad...

  • Yes, London.

Thanks, that is kind of you to say.

We are not a pro or even amateur team. We were just asked to perform for an event. No doubt it wasn't very good but I think we did well for our first ever attempt with very limited practice =)

  • no worries..my english is nt tat well in this stage, hope tat u wont mind on it ^^

the reason i left comment here is to recognize the effort u guys ve put in dragon dance, and encourage of constant to dragon dance...

i know it;s reli tough to organize a dragon team in westen country, which i m currently doin...and it;s glad to c dragon dance is in london!!

    anyway, keep it on ~

  • Far too small of a stage.

  • can U tell me the name of that song plz? plz reply cause I really need that music

    thanks

  • Thats a beautiful dragon,

  • rubbish

  • keep going on

  • keep going on ^^

  • Venue is too small, no one instrument it?

    and learn more tricks :)

  • Thanks for the feedback =)

Yes, the venue is very small, but I guess we don't have a choice in the matter.

We would like to learn more tricks but it's quite hard when no one commits to being on the team until 1 week before the show =P It's not our dragon either, so it's hard for us to get access to it, which is a shame.

    Thanks for the comments!

  • hi can you please contact me? i needed draon dance on the 31st.

  • Hopefully TeamWuJin will be able to help you with some information.

Good luck with your search and Happy New Year!

  • I would love it to show my nursery children. Would you be able to post it and where are you?

    Thanks

  • Hi, unfortunately I can't post it as it was filmed a long time ago and I don't think anyone has a hard copy. This was filmed in London near King's Cross in the Camden Town Hall.

  • Dancing this must be like playing "Snake".

  • do you know where can i get the same music?

or the name of the sounds?? tnx

  • how did u make the dragon???or did u bought it?

  • Hahaha, no we did not make the dragon. I think if you want one you need to specially order it from a company that makes them.

  • that is sooo coool, i love chinese traditional culture, even the company that makes the dragons, i just love the cets waving a paw in the shops, i love pagoda, i love chinaaaa

  • i've watched for 4:36 and all it is is a dragon running in circles... i dunno about the dancers&cameraman, but i'm freaking dizzy

  • LOL

Yes, unfortunately we don't have much time to prepare so we can't really come up with any fancy moves. We try to throw in a new one every show but it's hard when you only have a full team 1% of the time...

  • lol we use to same music for it but shorter

  • very good luuk and nice

  • nice to see a multi-enthnic dance group! haha

  • Hahaha, very authentic ;)

  • buenisimo!!, soy un chino-Argentino o sea Argenchino.

  • Gracias! Soy (sea?) Franchino.

  • The music is great

  • wow

  • I realy enjoyed the dance, why dose the Dragon follow the ball? what dose the ball Symbolise? Thanks Colin

  • Thank's for your kind comment.

The ball is supposed to be a pearl. The pearl can be said to represent wisdom, which the dragon is searching for.

  • Thank you.

  • very nice

  • XD I heard some chinese speaking in the beginning something about where is it?

  • Good effort. Where was the venue?

  • COOL
