But when I set out to roll down the road with 26k or better. Their isn't anything that toyota can send my way that will handle the job. Their 5.7 ltr, come on thats been around forever. It's ok for light loads, but even 10k will work that truck in the dirt. Face it, their are only 3 heavy duty trucks out their.

WHat the idiot doesn't realize is..that the smoke is just unburned fuel dumped into the exhause...the DPF is plugging, the injectors are fouling..and when the poor boys ride no longer runs and he takes it to the dealer to get fixed..they say...NO WARRANTY...smooth move dumb ass....for all these idiots out there who think its cool....trust me..you impress nobody...well, maybe the neighbors in the trailer park where you live!...LOL

Cop might get annoyed and ticket ya for somethin, but you have to watch out for the DEC, (department of environmental conservation) police, they will ticket you for excessive smoke, and make you park it right where they pulled you over. They do it to Semi's all the time.

Yes, I have been pulled over and ticketed in California for "excessive smoke" even though CA does not smog diesels. I had to repair something that pertained to the emissions system and prove it with receipts so I replaced the injection pump. Otherwise, the ticket was only about $15 but I payed about $1000 for the pump.

Best tuner for a dodge is the Smarty. Also, if you have a 6.7, you can do a DPF delete, and smoke all you want. But why, smoke means unburnt fuel. Use the fuel to go faster !!!

i Definently agree with you smarty is an awsome tuner for cummins, but id also recomend H&S, there awsome tuners as well!

you can call it unburnt fuel, but its definently burnt, it would pour out the exhaust if it was unburnt. if there aint enough air to mix with the fuel to clean it up, it just over fuels and cant process it all at once without the rite amount of air, so therefore it comes out burning black...help me out if i worded that wrong...thanks BUT NICE BOAT AND TRUCK!

The smarty for the 6.7 in my opinion is pretty much garbage right now. The 5.9 smarty is the shit, but they definately need to work the kinks outta the S67 for damn sure. The XRT is the shit....SO NO....WHATEVER YOU DO...DON'T BUY A BULLY DOG LOL....no just kidding if that's what you want go ahead. But it won't be the fastest thing out there...

@Kevster524 i let a friend drive my 1990 12valve and he had the same idea. he put it in 5th gear at a redlight and when that light turned green, u talk about black smoke(i do have the fuel turned up a little) it rolled the coal. sure it looked cool but think of all the slippin that clutch did. its not easy on the clutch at all but hey if your loaded and wanna just keep a bunch of clutches handy so you can replace them when they burn up go right ahead and take off in 5th gear.

Nope...that's why diesels have oil cooling nozzles to spray oil on the bottom of the crown to cool them. If a diesel is smoking black, it's from over-fueling or insufficient air.

You're just getting little puffs because the smoke the Edge would produce is getting cleaned up by the extra air from your intake and EGR delete. If you've got a clutch then stack the MP-8, you'll be fine

You will be perfectly fine with stacking the edge. If you are just lookin for smoke then get the PMT, it fuels a bit harder than the edge and can still be stacked with an MP-8. The 150s will have to be custom made I think, don't know though b/c I've only looked at DDPs. Propane is alright. I'd go water/meth and intercooler before I did that though. And a Fleece Performance boost controller

The rig is straight piped and I cut out the dpf and the only thing between the cylinders and the exhaust tip is air. and Yes DakarNick, it is dumping more fuel in the engine which burns harder therefore dumping the black smoke.

no thats not the exhaust gas from the engine. The filter on the exhaust is set to clean itself when a certain temperature is reached. The dealers said it usually cleans when under stress and 1500 degrees. u can only reach that temp by towing and thats what he's doin. my guess is a filter cleaning.

No, that is exhaust, overfueled exhaust. Trucks do not smoke during a regeneration. The Bullydog changes the fueling on the engine. I am betting the EGR and DPF have both been removed.
